Staff was unfriendly, no parking for your vehicle

The staff was not friendly and acted as if I was bothering them when I was checking in. No parking in front of hotel room and had to carry luggage a long way to get to room. Not clean and smelled musty. Not satisfied or happy about the room or hotel.

The good and the bad

Was a rather interesting ordeal at check in, Did not get questions answered as to the rate I was paying. Did not get a receipt for on line reservation. I was told the cost of the room was much less than I ordered on line, It wasn't a bad place to spend one nite if you are not to fussy.

We love the HI Express hotels. They are always clean and comfortable, and this one didn't disappoint. The location was close to the freeway, close enough to walk downtown, and had a reasonable pool and spa. I like the breakfast because it's more than juice and a danish. You can have fruit, milk, yogurt, cinnamon rolls, english muffins, eggs, and bacon. They even had a cool pancake machine. You push a button and 45 seconds later a pancake popped out. I would recommend it without hesitation if you ever have to stay in Evanston.

Not bad for being the cheapest in town

Our car broke down a little before Evanston and so we stopped at the Pilot right next door. We orignially tried to venture on but the car was still iffy so we got off and stayed at the Days Inn down the street in hopes of getting it into a mechanic in the morning.The next day and no mechanic visit later, my dad was on his was to come get us, all the way from San Diego. We knew the car was now going to be an expense so we looked up rates online to find the cheapest hotel in the area. This location was nice because we could walk around a mile to get to four or five fast food joints.[...] Also, the pool was out of service and it was a very warm day so that was kinda lame. The refrigerator was broken but we had and ice chest so that didn't bother us too much. Walls were a little thin but the rooms were clean and the air conditioning felt amazing. overall, if i were traveling on the cheaper end, i would go back.

we arrived at the hotel to find out my card had been charged already after they told us we could pay cash then they changed us rooms twice and the second room was dirty so we changed rooms again and that room was very good. started out bad and went to better.

Very Nice Hotel

Great hotel for people traveling through Evanston. Don't get hung up on the landscaping - everything is new and in progress. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.
