Stay Here on Friday Night

Glade Springs is good for one thing if you are looking to just ski economically, and that is getting a free lift ticket. If you are just looking for a place to sleep after getting your included lift ticket, but don't want to pay a fortune to stay overnight; this is all your need. However, the savings don't come without a few drawbacks. First, it's in a convenient spot but be wary of the lack of adequate signage. This is especially true at night when your eyes are glued to your GPS. Second, you'll need an ATV to navigate the parking lot. I would not advise bringing your lowrider up for your ski trip. Third, it shares a parking lot with an adult video store. If you can overlook the wear and tear, it's really not a bad deal. The manager/franchisee is an incredibly nice individual in person, but I would rather book with him directly next time than through this site.

The hotel is easily accessed from I-77, but the approach to the property is a minefield of potholes. The driveway around the building is fine, so the other property might belong to the "adult" store. Other than that, it was one of the quietest places we've stayed. Staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is very basic, but there are restaurants nearby for those who want more than oatmeal, bagels, muffins, and juice. One thing lacking is milk.
