We checked in late, after getting the room online it was a very quick check in and we got to bed right away. I live in Madison, and it was nice to only have to drive a few miles and stay somewhere right off the highway.

The kitchen is too small but everything is good. In the morning the breakfast was not as good as other hotel but the room are very nice and clean. The breakfast bar need to be a little bigger not enough chair for customer too. We have to eat at the door way in the morning especially one morning was so busy.

The hotel was close to the shopping we wanted to do, and the price was very reasonable. The pool was a good size and very clean. The room seemed spacious, but needed a good deal of TLC (updating and general care). The cushions on the sofa bed were torn and natty. The faucet in the bathroom area was undersized...when rinsing your toothbrush, you have to touch the basin in order to get it under the faucet. We had no hot water, and the bathroom lights only worked every 4th or 5th time. While the staff was polite, they sure didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome upon arrival or during our stay.

I came after a SNF game in Green Bay so I called ahead to tell them I'd be late. They made a note and also were able to upgrade my room which was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting much but ended up impressed. The room was clean and check-in took about a minute(which was great at 12:30 am). Everything I needed was available - great deal and I'd definitely return! The breakfast looked good, I only grabbed something to go so I can't speak to the quality of the food but definitely lots of options.

Very Handy location, yet a little South of the busy section of Oshkosh. Outlet Mall is next door.

Description
City Center Hotel is a 179 room hotel with swimming pool and whirlpool opened 24hrs. There is also a restaurant and sports lounge with 6 HDTV's. Situated in a beautiful riverside location with marina facilities and patio side docking. A state bike trail running directly behind property alongside the river, which will be open in 2011. Leach Ampitheater which holds many music events in the summertime. Close to Menominee Park, Public Museum, EAA Grounds and Museum and the Payne Art Center.

Hotel was nice for a night. Seemed quieter than usual, perhaps due to many negative review of late. My experience was OK, however. I would come back because of the good location, right on Main Street, and the room was decent.

Don't be fooled by the lobby, that's about the nicest part of this hotel. The phone was busy for FOUR days, not allowing us to cancel one reservation...can you imagine that it was never even posted on their web site? You have to park in a garage and enter through there to a disgusting hall way and then into the hotel itself. Our first room was filthy and asked to moved, which they did. The second was no different but had a nice view of the river. We were creeped out by the place and had I been there by myself would have never lasted the night. As it turned out we left that night so we didn't have to sleep in the bed. Overall experience terrible. Can't imagine any convention being hosted there.

OK - it didn't cost much to stay the night. Surprising the bed was very comfortable. The front people were very friendly and helpful. There was a microwave and fridge in room which I wasn't expecting but didn't really need. There was wireless internet in the room though not a strong signal it did work but wasn't available when I first got up at 4:00 AM but then became available after I was up about 1/2 an hour so they probably turn off late in evening. I wasn't expecting much for the price but bed was clean. Carpet looked like it could do with a cleaning but room was quiet and really not bad. Would I stay there again? Yes I would.
