The Country Inns & Suites Menomonie is located in Menomonie just off I-94 at exit 41. Claire Municipal Airport is 25 miles from the hotel. Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport is 55 miles from the hotel. The property offers complimentary continental plus breakfast daily per person. Just a bit noisy because a couple of youth socker teams were staying on the same night. otherwise it was a nice place. we will stay there again.

Hotel is Located in the busiest Part of the Town. Surrounded by good restaurants and shopping places. Something to do for all ages. City Water Park open for Guest from May 1st thru Sep 30th. Minimal fees of $5.00 per person. Walmart 0.5 mi. K-Mart across the Street. Walgreens 0.1 mi. Free Continental Breakfast available every morning from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. Monday thru Friday and 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. If arriving late in night please indicate estimated time of arrival on reservation. Pet deposit: 25.00/stay. Pet accommodation: 10.00/night per pet. Pet limit: 3 pets per room 40 lbs or less.

Felt like punishment....

I stayed in Menomonie because both my sons are attending college there so I went to visit them and watch my son in his golf tournament. The location was simple to find and had an abudance of restaurants and shopping close at hand...which is a plus. The room was a "downer". No decor to speak of...bent lampshade..flat pillows...and the sink was dirty. I asked for a smoking room...and I think they gave me the worse room possible. As if it were punishment. Vending machine candy was old and discolored. I did complain about this and the front desk personell did go out of their way to purchase the candy I wanted from a store across the street.

The hotel was rundown. The water temperature in shower fluctuated from cold to lukewarm, but was never hot. There were no towels at the pool which was also very rundown. On the good side, the staff was friendly and polite. The hotel was very quiet, even though there was a girls sports tournament in town and most of the residents were kids.

Basic But Price Is Right!

This is not a as comfy as Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, but it is half the price!! Great location close to UW Stout and just what we needed, bed & shower and CLEAN. For the money it was a wonderful value. If you like watching TV very much though, the 26 inch will probably disappoint.
