This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel in the Milwaukee area. The price is good,,, the hotel is average enough,, the staff is helpful and the breakfast is very nice,,, and complimentary!

I was in the area for business and I chose this hotel because it had the best value of everything around. I didn't have to pay extra for internet or for breakfast (which included waffles. Yum!) and the room was clean and comfy. Nothing fancy but just what you need. If I'm ever back in the area and the price remains as good as it was, I'll definitely come back.

We've made 4 trips in the past year to visit our son at college in Milwaukee. The other hotels we stayed at were so dirty and a poor value especially the Forty Winks Inn. I recommend the Double Tree for its cleanliness. Finally my skinned didn't crawl when I entered the room.

Good hotel although the fire alarm went off twice even though they said they had fixed it the first time it went off only in our room onbly. Beds were awesome very comfortable. Quiet and peaceful.

We were arriving late from Michigan to Wisconsin. That is a 6.5 hr drive. We left Mi around 7pm and arrived at 12:20 am Wisconsin time (1hr behind Mi). We were checked in speedy with no hassles. We were still awake and wanted to grab a night cap, There are 2 restaurants attached to the hotel. A sports bar and an Outback steak house. The Outback was closed, however we made it just in time for the last call at the sports bar. Even though we came in after last call they still served us our drinks. The king bed in the room was amazing, not too firm or too soft, We were amazed the next day to see movies that were recently in theaters available for rent way before netflix has them or released on dvd. Very cool trip. Continental Breakfast was great. They had food for the health buffs like me and food for the less healthy individuals such as my fiancee. Nice to not worry about finding a place to eat or buy food and cook it in the morning. Hassle free all the way.

A couple of sticking points

I only had two complaints(well, maybe three) about the sheraton. The sink was plugged upon arrival, although it was promptly taken care of. As small refrigerator and microwave should be included, especially for those using insulin. The parking arrangement was unrully, as you never knew where you'd be able to park due to "events" at the sheraton.

Hotel is located near Miller Park and the Milwaukee County Zoo; the two venues we were attending on our family mini-vacation.

Reasonable for the price

The accomodations were pleasant enough, there were little issues we ran into which all combined together made for a somewhat frustrating stay. As soon as we arrived, the room I rented for my parents had a refrigerator which did not work. Their room also had an unusual and unpleasant smell to it.
Our room's carpeting was torn in several spots and the bathroom's exhaust fan/heat lamp unit did not work so after showers, the bathroom became soaked with steam.
The hotel's restaurant was average, nothing special but the staff was very friendly.
The pool was very cold & the hottub was overly hot so our time relaxing in the recreation area was limited.

This hotel was great! We enjoyed the time that we spent there. The breakfast was very good. I especially liked it that they offered hot oatmeal for breakfast. Their coffee was excellent. The lady at the desk was very welcoming when we came in and acted like she appreciated our business. The room looked like it might have been remodeled recently with a nice work desk and room to put things underneath the sink. I would definitely go back to this hotel again in the future.

I've stayed a several Hampton Inn's before and have always had a great experience. From the moment I checked in I was greeted with friendly, helpful staff. Their warm, soft cookies are offered up right away and are delicious - just like coming home after along day's work.
My room was on the top floor on the west side of the building, so I had a great view. The decor is very "moody" with nice, soft accent lighting and is very inviting. I had a desk with overhead spot lights which worked great for reading and computer work. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were high quality. The bathroom was clean, arranged very well, and has an upscale look - very nice.
Each morning of my stay I took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. They offer just about anything you can think of and over the course of my 5 night stay I never had the same thing twice for breakfast - there's just so much to choose from!
I tried out the pool and hot tub too. The pool was warm and the entire area was clean. No disappointments here.
Now for the negatives, which are that bad. The rooms could use some more electrical outlets. I always had to move one of the night stands aside to plug in my phone overnight. The TV lineup and picture quality absolutely stinks. Why do hotel chains insist on broadcasting standard definition content to their HD wide screen TVs? What a waste! Finally, the reservoir in my toilet drain slightly and steadily, so every couple of minutes the toilet would "kick in" and top off the reservoir. I didn't bother to tell anyone, I probably should have, but I just closed the water feed valve each night before going to bed.
Overall, it was another great experience!

Very nice room, well appointed, enjoyed the in house laundry, no breakfast, nice location, previous renter had long black hair as it was still in the tub! Sad, as all else was great but it does make me wonder? The Brookfield Mall was a nice, close, visit. The whole area was nice, upscale.

There was nothing fantastic about the hotel but I had no problems either. Good location. The room was fine. Reasonable price for what I got. I'd stay here again. However, I wouldn't hessitate to stay somewhere else where I thought I'd be getting a better deal.

We found the perfect place to get away from the New year's Eve madness in the city. We loved our studio space with complete kitchen amenities and did a lot of cooking. It was like our home away from home!

Upon checking in, I asked if they could tell me the hours of the local zoo. The employee then told me she would check and call me in my room with the answer, which she did. The room and rooms close by were just being finished remodeled. Everything was very clean. The workers were still there working on some adjoining rooms, but were very courteous and did not work early and/or late. The fitness center was fantastic. Great equipment and more than the minimum choices. Very pleased!!

My family enjoyed our stay here. The kids enjoyed being able to shoot baskets on the hotels court, although the court surface was slippery.
The main negative we experienced was we needed to use the fold out bed of the sofa and when we pulled the cushions off, the sofa was full of food crumbs etc. The only other minor complaint is I don't think they had wireless internet. I connected using the network cable on the desk in the room, which worked fine, but I was tied to the desk.
The fitness center was small but two treadmills and elliptical were good quality with individual TVs for each piece of equipment.

Nice room, Nice hotel, but has problems

This hotel has a weird problem with fruit flies in the atrium dining room. The flies were there during breakfast, all over the food. In the evening, the flies were still present and I had to pour out my complimentary wine because a fly was in it. Also, the coffee maker in the room was complete junk and leaked everywhere. I called the manager and left my information for him. I was told he would call me back that evening but he never did.
The complimentary drink hour was nice but disrupted by flies. The flies were there for three straight days and a hotel worker even complained about it. I guess it's an ongoing problem.

Great price for a clean, simple room with a flat screen TV. Perfect if you just need a place to sleep and take a shower in the morning.

Its a MOTEL not a hotel

This was a good place to stay for the price if you don't mind "motel" ammenities. The "Free WiFi" was not really free, there was a daily charge for it. Our room wasn't cleaned one day since we didn't make it out of the room before 10AM. Other than that, I guess you get was you pay for. It was a roof over my head and hot water.
The staff was friendly.
It is a motel, not a hotel, so keep that in mind. I have not stayed at many "motels" before so this may be the best it gets for motels.
