We had some difficulty at check-in; they misspelled my name and gave us keys to someone else's room - luckily only the person's luggage was there when we opened the door. Once that was straightened out everything was fine. Pet friendly so the room had an odd smell, but everything was extremely clean. The staff was thoughtful enough to give us a room away from the noisy pool, so it was quiet too.

The hotel is centrally located in the business/ shopping district. The room was clean and comfortable. Some people have called it small but it is there to sleep in not dance. Continental breakfast was enjoyable.

I booked this room for the price and the location was close to a business seminar I was attending. the rooms were clean the amenities were pretty standard. continental breakfast was simple but good. the staff were all very friendly and courteous. and the coupons for the texas road house were a very nice touch.

Your typical stay for a cheaper hotel. I didn't come in booking this hotel having high expectations, but it was more than satisfactory for the price being paid to stay and room here. In the end, overall satisfied.

We stayed at this hotel mostly for it's proximity to the PAC (across the street)and it was perfect, we were able to get ready, walk to the play and walk back. The rooms were nice and the staff, helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room, clean hot tub and pool area, great hot breakfast and very comfortable and classy eating area. Our room was very classy and the only down side was the bedding was a little too warm - or maybe the heater just worked too well! Anyway - would recommend this hotel to all my friends!

Nice place to stay while visiting the area.
Rooms are a tad smaller than most Hampton Inns and in our room at least, we had two full size beds rather than two queens (we knew this going in, so weren't surprised).
The breakfast buffet was better than usual, the staff was friendly and we enjoyed the proximity to a nice mall and the local baseball stadium.

The purpose of the stay was to rest for the evening before continuing the rest of the journey the next day. The room was spacious. The bathroom was clean & spacious, too. The hotel is within walking distance of a large mall, plus there are many restaurants in the area of differing styles & tastes. Great location!

We were able to find a king bed suite for $57. It was a perfect hotel for the price. We were just looking for some place to sleep so we weren't concerned with amenities, which is good because there weren't any. No business center and Internet in the room was a charge of $4.95 a day. Nice little kitchenette and plenty of space in the room. Only negative was how small the bathroom was. One person could barely fit in there so it was a little difficult for both my husband and I to get ready but that was the only negative we saw. I used to live in the area so I know for a fact that the hotel is in a safe neighborhood.

We were here on New Year's Eve - staying to lessen the drive to Lambeau for the Packer game on New Year's Day. We were pleasantly surprised with our accomodations. The hotel was pretty large, close to several restaurants, shopping, entertainment...whatever you'd choose to do. Good value for the rooms. Both rooms had small sitting areas and pull-out sofas in addition to the beds. Prices here were MUCH cheaper than anything closer to Green Bay. We will definitely stay here again before or after a game. My only recommendation to La Quinta would be to beef up their breakfast offerings. Not a lot to choose from, and we left hungry.

the room was spotless and pleasantly decorated. There was a note in the bathroom saying if you forgot an toiletries they would be happy to give you toothbrushes, etc free of charge. there was a nice courtyard garden, which was nice in the middle of mall sprawl. They gave two choices of pillows: firm and soft. My only negative comment was that there was no free breakfast, which many other hotels offered. We were only there for one night to see the Air show and most places were booked up, but I was happy to spend the night in a clean place and the kids enjoyed the pool.

easy access to hwy 41 and to Lawrence U. Got to hotel before our first engagement so we dropped out bags, changed our clothes and took off. Got back to the hotel late and very tired. Went to use the bathroom and the toilet had brown smears on it. We were tired,went to bed and left first thing in the morning. We said nothing to management.

Room was nice. Service was good. Free breakfast was so-so at best. We would reccommend this hotel to others. Overall a nice place.

Very nice staff and the rooms were very clean. The lobby however was FREEZING cold! The pool is very small and there is no breakfast.I would not stay here again, there are alot nicer places for the same price in the area.

We had two people staying in the room and two people meeting us in Appleton from Nearby. We were not allowed to check in until exactly 3:00 despite the fact they informed us there were rooms available. The only way to get in the hotel is through the front door.. the side door card readers are disabled. Each time you go in they want to know your room number and how many people are going there to make sure you only have the number of people you said were sleeping there and also to abid by the policy of no guests after 7:30pm. Are you kidding?! We don't go to dinner until well after that! We had a younger woman smoking outside a side door late at night and she propped it open. they closed it while she was standing right there and told her to walk all the way around the building by herself to get back in cause they cant prop doors open even though it was propped open with a door stopper. They did not give us any hotel policy information or reciept at check in or out. The staff was very rude and inquisitive to everything we were doing. There was nothing out for breakfast. I would NEVER NEVER recommend this place to anyone or stay here again. If they find out you have someone else stay there overnight and did not inform them in advance...even if its a last minute change you will be charged $50 per person they think stayed there. They tried to charge us by saying we saw everything on the cameras because we were watching you. Then they came outside with us to see how many people got into our car upon check out

Room and hotel were clean and extremely quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. Will stay there again on my next visit to Appleton.

Comfortable Stay- No surprises

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 day visit to the Settle Inn located in Appleton. When making the reservation, I read the positive reviews and have to admit, they were spot-on. No negative surprises. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised how nice the hotel was, the quality of the rooms, bedding, breakfast, etc. I found the staff at check-in very friendly and accomodating. I only talked to them at check-in. There was no need for other contact- it was that good, all the way around.

Hotel was very well kept, great staff.We could smell smoke in our rooms coming from other "non-smoking" rooms and there were incidents of people in the hallways at late hours making alot of noise.

Went to Kenny Chesney's concernt at Lambeau. There were no rooms in Green Bay. This was a short convienent trip.

Nice prime appleton location. Fun pool with slide and pool area for all ages:) Nice hottub- good pool hours. Clean room! Nice continental breakfast! Would deffinetly stay here again!

Road Star Inn is "budget hotel" serving the lodging needs of Appleton and is located 1 block off Hwy 41,1 block from fox river mall,1/2 mile to downtown,next door to Fox Cities Convention and visitors centerand walking distance to any kind of restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful.

good hotel for the price

room was very large for the price. king bed was comfortable, also couch, coffee table and desk. the mic and fridge were a great bonus. close to the mall but not right in the traffic congestion area. close to numerous restaurants. right off highway. i was impressed for a budget hotel and would stay there again.
