Very friendly staff who knew we were coming as I called to say we'd be getting in right at 4pm. "No problem, enjoy the day, we keep the room for you until midnight."
After check-in, spent an hour in the pool (temp over 95 degrees outside). Dressed for dinner & theater, walked across the parking lot to "Jacobi's at the Depot", refurbished train depot. A group of small city mayors where dining there also. VERY nice meal at the re-opened "Jacobi's".
Attended open air stage rendition of "Grease" at the Fort Walla Walla park. Hit the hay after mid-night.
In the AM our son & I filled up at the bustling 25 item breakfast with many other families and business people. We took a plate up for Dad who likes to sleep in. Back in the pool for 1/2 hour swim before leaving at 10:30 am for church service, lunch at "Clarette's", shopping at the main street bookstore and enjoying the public art.
Homeward bound along the Columbia River (Hwy 730) we spotted Walla Walla Grain Growers grain elevator, swimmers, fishermen, water sports and wildlife. A beautiful 'at-home' vacation weekend.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no shampoo in the shower dispenser but that was readily rectified. The breakfast was OK but I would have preferred some healthier options such as bran muffins, wheat toast and more choices in cereals. We didn't have a chance to try the pool but it looked clean and inviting.

Although this is located a ways out of the downtown area it was a pretty easy access to medical facilities and that is the reason for my two night stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay there again!

We welcome pets, but due to extra cleaning needed to get the room ready for other guests, our pet policy is a non refundable $25.00 fee per pet, per stay. Damages are subject to additional charges. We were visiting Walla Walla for the annual hot air balloon stampede with our Assistance dog. After checking in we found out the hot tub was out of order. Big disappointment as this was one of the reasons we selected this inn. Normally, they do not charge the pet fee for Assistance animals, but we were charged anyway because we did not have any "documentation" for the dog, even though she was wearing her vest and plaquard. We have never been asked for documentaion before and were unprepared. This all set the tone for the weekend. Rain and no hot air balloons, but the city of Walla Walla is beautiful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Walla Walla, WA. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
An added touch was the availability of fresh baked cookies at the check in counter every evening.
Our mattress was too soft. We should have asked for a room change because we prefer a reasonably firm mattress.
Overall, this was a step above in quality for the same cost compared to service/accommodations from our last stay at a similar hotel.

The Walla Walla Travelodge is in a quiet Downtown location Closest accommodation to Whitman College It is only minutes to Walla Walla College and Walla Walla Community College the Fairgrounds Washington State Penitentiary Whitman Mission and Fort Walla Walla Park and museum There is also a Casino 45 minutes away.
Pool will be closed from 10/10/2011 to 05/05/2012.

We were in W.W. for the Italian celebration an the location made it easy to get to the activities. The room was adequet but crowd. Nice to have a pet friendly at $7 per pet. We will stay there again.

[...] The Clerk/Owner gave me a room and key on the front, I went to the room and someone was in it. [...] I didn't think this very accomodating, and I didn't appreciate the clerks attempt to give me a less desirable room. I don't know if I will stay here again,that interaction was very uncomfortable and unnecessary. I had made these reservations nearly a month in advance and feel that this treatment was beyond reproach.

I arrived there for some buisness. location was great for me. Not much to expect, i've stayed at other Super 8 that were better. Breakfast was not that exciting. but overall comfort.
