Needed a place to stay before gettig my son to the airport really early the next morning. We checked in late and asked about a place to get a bite and were told about The Globe Bar and Grill. Had a great burger and then a good night's sleep., off to the airport at 4:45am and then I came back , caught a little shut eye ,had a little breakfast downstairs and then back to Montana.

Nice location on the Spokane River, and close to walk to Convention Center. Winter during stay, so no use of the pool or outdoor areas. My particular maid was a bit sloppy and inconsistent. I stayed five nights, and was gone each day all day, so I should know. The motel is under various indoor maintenence, and also at the entrance to the main lobby. It's a long, linear motel and a long walk to the lobby if located far away. I liked that, but if someone won't like that they should request a room closer to the lobby.

Overall not a bad place to stay. Took a bit to adjust to the sprawling layout of the hotel. Didn't help that the lower hallway was closed and without any elevators you had to go up a flight of stairs and back down to bypass the closure (wouldn't be good for someone with limited mobility). Room was quiet and away from street noise. Beds and pillows comfortable. Restaurant onsite had decent food and prices. Internet connectivity was poor and this was a deal breaker for me. If I didn't depend on internet I would consider staying again.

This hotel is situated in a perfect location for conferencing, walking to and from downtown, and enjoying Riverside Park. There are several restaurants to choose from close by and the staff are just fantastic!

Went directly to my room to order room service and go to bed. Hotel is lovely, well appointed, food good. Unfortunately I was placed next to the ice and vending machines and elevators. It constantly woke me all night. Next time I will ask for a room at the end of the hall.

Great Value and Location, Could Use Some Improvements

This hotel is located in the area that you want to be if you are active and like the night scene. Parking is tight on the hotel grounds but that is just how most downtown's are. There are plenty of cheap lots around if you require an easier parking access but parking is free on the hotel grounds. The rooms are a little small but are very well laid out if you are just requiring a place to sleep and shower. The decor is modern with some nice touches. I like the slide-out bedside swivel lamp, it was very strategically located. Unfortunately for me I needed an area in room with a larger workstation because I was on a business/leisure trip and space was cramped. There is space enough to set a laptop upon and work but, I require more space with my line of work. The rooms were very clean the in room fridge and microwave were nice to have available. I did not get to visit the Sapphire Lounge but it looked very modern and trendy and the place to be! My only gripe was that upon check -in the attendant fielded a personal call right in the middle of our check-in and pretty much handed us our keys and we went on our way to figure the hotel out ourselves. The rest of the interaction with the staff was very pleasant, but the whole town is full of very nice people. There is room for improvement but for the location and price you can't beat this place. (It was almost half as much as most other hotels in the area)

Very nice staff. The hotel was clean enouogh, but a little worn and tired. On a short stay, it served the purpose, at a very good price, but would not want to stay there long term.

This is a beautiful old hotel with high ceilings and lot of space. My only complaint has to do with the bathroom.
I am 5'2" so short, but not abnormally so. The bathroom mirror was so high I could only see half of my face. The bathtub ledge was so high that I almost fell getting out of the shower.

Clean, comfortable, quiet convenient. A nice bed in a pleasant place. Nothing remarkable except a somewhat old fashioned massive style to some of the furnishings. We were probably in the smallest room--discount rate. But a second armchair would have been nice.

Good hotel, but some things to be aware

I stayed here twice during my trip. I requested non smoking rooms on both stays. The first stay I got a smoking room and could not change it. [...] The first room also suffered from very weak water pressure in the shower and a big water bug in the tub on day 2. The second stay was much better. Nice clean non smoking room. Hotel staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. Location is convenient.

most comfortable beds i have slept in. close to everything we needed. wasn't really excited about the 9 dollar parking fee added onto my bill. but we will stay again, hopefully in the summer to enjoy the park a little more and the outside pool

My husband and I reserved & paid for a room online through Orbitz. I was looking for "pet friendly" hotels & this Comfort Inn came up. NOTHING was said about an extra pet fee. AFTER we checked in the desk clerk informed us we must pay an extra 15.00 (plus tax) fee for our 10 pound Pekengese "Gustave". I told her this was not disclosed when we paid online and we would not have reserved the room had we known there was an extra fee as we were already paying aprox. 85.00 for a sunday night room. This heavily tattoed clerk was very rude and in a snippy manner shoved a form at us and sent us on our way. We assumed we would not be charged as I made it clear we wanted a refund and would stay elsewhere if the undisclosed pet fee was charged. After our trip I checked my credit card online and lo and behold the clerk charged us 16.00 &some change for a "pet fee"! It took a couple of different long distance phone calls but finally the hotel manager graciously removed the unauthorized fee after assuring me the pet fee was standard and they would work to make it more visible on the orbitz website. Other than the rude tatooed clerk the night desk clerk was extremely professional and helpful. (nothing against tatoo's but a hotel clerk should look more professional &classy-perhaps a long sleeve shirt-"dress appropriately for the job"?) The room was average for the cost. The pool and spa was super and the breakfast was nice. As a couple who frequently travel with our pet from now on I will choose hotels that do not charge extra for pets. Most pets are cleaner than alot of people-to be charged extra when customers are already paying good money is ridiculous.

This hotel was fine for the minimal stay. Be wary though if you get a room with a king size bed, hard as a rock! My other family members were in room with 2 queen sized beds and they were very comfortable.

They gave me a handicapped room although I don't need one. The ground level was so close to the parked cars ( a few feet) that I felt somewhat insecure, with a big window that fortunately was locked. Why did they assume I couldn't go upstairs. No time to ask for a change of rooms before I had to leave for an appointment.

Staff was nice. our phone kept ring and the person would hang up as soon as we picked up. We used the shuddle was alittle dirty. As we were waiting i notice one of the staff reaching into the popcorn and taking a handful out and into his mouth that was not very sanatary.

We were there for a high school graduation. The location was just a few blocks from the convention center. We really enjoyed the indoor spa and pool.
I was surprised at the cost of the breakfast buffet,
$11.95 per person so we had breakfast at Perkins next door. However we were able to get a carafe of coffee and a bowl full of creamers from the breakfast buffet and they were very nice about that.
The nicest part about the hotel was the proximity to the park downtown along the river. Truly a treasure.

Booked a two-night stay for a trip to visit Gonzaga. Room was very nice and roomy,and perfect location for anyone visiting the Gonzaga campus. Front desk gave us spot-on directions for walking to and from campus (no car needed), and then suggested many restaurant options and provided a shuttle to and from downtown for dinner. One slight glitch was that we requested a taxi to the airport for the morning of our departure which didn't get on the schedule (may have been the taxi company's problem), but the Holiday Inn revved up the shuttle bus and the manager drove us to the airport. . . great service and attention to detail!

Hotel was very clean and tidy. Desk people were friendly and helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of Riverfront park and lots of places to eat. Free internet, free parking and a decent free breakfast to boot. I would stay at the Travelodge again.

Only complaint for this lovely hotel is that the complimentary breakfast is no longer available. This was our third stay here and brought the in-laws along this time, it was Christmas magical like last year and loved every minute of it!

Very nice experience. Helpful, friendly staff. Very clean and modern, but certainly not generic. It is actually a little eclectic gem in downtown Spokane. It has elegant charm with the reading areas and library. Close to downtown shopping and perfect if you are a concert goer at the Knitting Factory or Bing Crosby theater (each within a block's distance). Continental breakfast was standard, but nice and very plentiful. Eating area is the pub in the "catacombs" (basement) and was very clean and modern. Parking is by valet, or street parking is available outside the door (both metered and pay-lot parking). A bar on the opposite side of the alley (south side)can get a little noisy at night, but during my stay was not a problem. The train tracks through town are just a few hundred yards south and you do hear the trains. However, there is no hotel in this vicinity where you don't hear the train. The trains are actually going very slow at that locality so while I heard it - it did not cause me problems with sleep or enjoyment (seemed just to be background city noise and I was able to tune it out ok). My bathroom was huge for a hotel and well supplied with amenities. My queen bed was deluxe, comfy and warm. Wifi in the room. Generous TV channel selection. Furniture was clean, robust, nice and in near-new condition. This is not a cheap, run-down hotel at all. For the price it was a great find. I would certainly stay there again without exception. If I had one request it would be that they had free parking, but that is a tall order in the middle of downtown Spokane. Very happy stay.

Hampton Inn: A Pleasurable Experience

I visited Hampton Inn earlier this month on a trip to visit a relative. The Hampton Inn's accommodations were wonderful: the rooms were spacious, the staff was helpful and friendly; the breakfasts were bountiful and offered many choices; the room was quiet; and the hotel is centrally located on a main roadway between the airport and downtown Spokane. I was extremely happy with my stay at this hotel and would definitely stay there in the future.

Holiday Inn Close and comfortable

The Holiday Inn is conveniently located on Sunset Road which is a main thoroughfare into Spokane and also a five minute ride to the airport. The day staff was nice to work with and helpful. The housekeeping staff was very accommodating when asked to clean the room at a specific hour while I was at the airport meeting another family member. I had asked if they had spray starch and housekeeping said no, but then the staff chased me down to give me starch they had found for me--very nice. The only complained that I had was with the restaurant: yes it was Hoop Fest weekend, but we and about half the restaurant waited for over 45 minutes before our salads were delivered. We were so tired of waiting that we asked them to send them to our room. The salads showed up with only one place setting. My caesar salad was warm and had limp lettuce with no croutons. If you are going to have a restaurant on site it needs to be appropriately staffed.

Hotel is old a dated, room was clean & comfortable though. Pool was warm & fun, but pool room had lots of mold. Needed a good cleaning, bleaching. Staff was friendly & breakfast was all right.

Room was ok for the price, There was some type of fire alarm or something on the wall in the corner with paper stuffed in it. Carpet was old and ripped. Did not try the breakfast. Two small pillows but when asked they offered two more. Staff was friendly

The hotel is in an industrial area, close to freeway, not hard to find. Clean property inside and out. Food is limited to a Petrol truck stop with a diner and a Zippy's.Pool is not heated, no matter what they say, was totally freezing in August. Spa was clean and fairly hot.Linens were clean, TV worked fine. Stains on sides of box spring were a little gross. Electrical plate in bathroom not screwed in, literally fell off while using sink area. Toilet got clogged, had to plunge. Depending on when you call, on-site staff is extremely difficult to understand and a little bit argumentative; for example, we were in middle of making reservation on [...] called hotel to ask question, difficult to understand staff member argued with us telling us that the rate we saw wasn't right and "no way could you (we) get room for that price." We then called [...] and made reservation over phone, [...] called hotel directly and made notes in our reservations to protect us.If I was on budget again, I would stay here, but if I could afford more I probably would not.

Shop and enoyed time together, longer breakfast/pool hours, it was a great room but should have uprgraded onr more to corner riverview room.
