I checked out several hotels in preparation for our trip to Seattle. I finally chose the Red Lion based on location, price and the great reviews it received. We were not disappointed! The staff was friendly and helpful the monorail was just down the street to go to the Space Needle. The Fish Market was just a few blocks away also! Definitely alot better than paying those hefty prices alot of the other hotels were asking for!

Great Location, Average Amenities

- Dec 24, 2012
Mom and I were visiting Seattle for the first time and wanted to stay downtown. This hotel was in a really great location and only 10 min walk from Pikes Peak Market and 2 blocks from the Link to the airport. The amenities are average. The bed was not particularly soft and only 2 pillows were given. Shampoo was a little watery. They did include a shower cap which was helpful. I wish the rooms had a bit better lighting as it was pretty dim. Cable does not include as many channels as usual. What kind of annoyed me was that they told us blatantly that we had to vacate at 11 pm instead of the usual 1 pm the next day because they had an large influx of guests coming to watch the football game. However the doorman was very pleasant in helping us with our luggage. Overall, it's an ok place to sleep. We mostly picked it for its location.

My room was next to the elevator - despite wearing earplugs and playing a hastily downloaded white noise app on my iPhone, I could still hear the elevator and the neighbors' intimate relations. The room was nice with a cute bathroom and yummy verbena soap. It was in a great location within walking distance from the train station and shopping.

Sleepy in Seattle
- Dec 22, 2012
We live in Seattle, but wanted to get a hotel downtown for the night of an office holiday party. The location was perfect and we were pleasantly surprised by the large size of the room. Others have commented on city noise, but we did not notice anything (we were on an upper floor). The bathroom is tiny, but placement of shelves and hooks make good use of the space. We found a great online deal and so it turned out to be a perfect choice for the night, but had we paid the standard rate it might have been a little overpriced for us. Breakfast at Lola the next morning was incredible (get the donuts)!

Perfect location with a quick walk to space needle, pikes place market/pier and downtown shopping and convention center. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and even a grocery store and a cinema. There is a restaurant in the lobby but we didn't eat there. The room was very nice and clean with inviting and cooling romantic blue hues. The bathroom was actually perfect With a big tub for a hot bath and a nice frosted subdued lighting. The staff was friendly and very helpful pointing out interesting attractions and a great tip for dinner. I would definitely stay at Hotel Andra again.

Great location if you want easy walking distance to Pike Place Market, mass transit, shopping, eating, museums and the symphony. The monorail is a couple of blocks away, so easy access to the Space needle and the Pacific Science Center.
Very good staff, valet parking is $42/day and they send you out your last day with cookies and milk. Each room has it's own little keurig.
In this day and age, it seems absurd that such a nice hotel would charge for wireless internet access, we just walked down one of the Starbuck's (there is one on every other block).

The hotel was very nice. The staff was courteous and professional. The bed was incredibly comfortable. My only gripe would be the price. I understand it is downtown, but there are many other hotels downtown as well. If they could lower their prices even just a little, it would make it a 5-star hotel in my book.

Nice hotel and staff. Centrally located. We had. Top floor one bedroom suite with floor to ceiling windows do great light and skyline views. Nice large bathroom . The living room had a love seat, dek and chair. It wasn't large. Room service dinner was below average. I had salmon, which was dry and tasteless. My daughter had fried chicken, which she thought was only so-so. Seattle has great restaurants so no need to eat meciocre hotel food. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

They were able to check us in early, our room was clean and fresh, the shower stayed warm for all four roommates, and the location was unbeatable. We were 5 minutes away from the Cheesecake Factory, Blue C Sushi, and a plethora of shopping - which we did all of. The only cons I found were internet was not free, and no fridge to put our delicious cheesecake left-overs in! We made do with the nearby ice machine. ;) There are lots of good downtown Seattle hotels, and this one is in my top 5.

The W, as you would expect, offers a stylish alternative to other downtown hotels. The all-new building features relatively large rooms with comfortable window-seat couches overlooking the city or, if you are up high, the water and mountains. The location is an easy walk to all the main tourist areas and the main bus and raillinks (we didn't rent a car during our stay, and found taxis an easy option we we got tired of walking). The W is in the financial district, so you are free of the street people and tourist madness closer to Pike Place.

I've stayed here twice while interviewing for a job and then apartment hunting. The location is great. Just a few blocks from Pike Place Market, downtown bus and light rail stops, downtown shopping and restaurants. The staff and valet were awesome for our entire stay. They certainly didn't mind taking our rental car out of valet multiple times a day. The queen sized room is small, but its just perfect for what you actually need. My girlfriend and I were quite comfortable with the queen sized bed and the space in the room. Also, free wifi throughout the hotel.

Location was excellent - we were in walking distance to many attractions and the monorail to the Space Needle. A quick 4-block walk to Pikes Place Market. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Staff very helpful.

The staff was courteous and plentiful. I checked in late and there were still 6 people at the desk. I was tickled when they offered me an upgraded room.

From the opening of the doors by the staff, to the wonderful rooms, to the well-equipped fitness facility, this hotel surprised me in the right way! I love that there is a Whole Foods underneath and it is walking distance to the train, bus and many restaurants and Seattle sites. I will definitely be back!

The hotel is very comfortable and the staff was amazing. We arrived before our actual check in time and instead of sending us away, they moved upgraded us to a larger suite.
Parking costs $20 a night but the hotel let us keep the car there until 3:00 pm the next day. There is no need to drive to enjoy Seattle once you get there as the Hotel offers a free shuttle service with 3 stops in the downtown area every hour.
The pool/spa was warm and clean.
