The interior is starting to show its age; but my room was clean & quiet, and the staff were very friendly & helpful. There was always at least one person at the front desk, even at 11:30pm when I needed help printing from their free Internet terminal.

Booked this hotel very last minute on a saturday night. Got to the hotel almost at 11pm. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and professional, she made the check-in very fast. The parking lot was pretty good, even late at night there were still spots available. My hotel room was pretty big considering what I paid for it. The bed and bedding were alright pretty standard. The bathroom bathtub was old and worn. The water in the shower wouldn't stay at a constant temperature. I would let it get to the right temperature but then it would get too hot. They didn't have wi-fi, you actually had to connect an ethernet cable to your computer. That didn't really work out very well on my laptop. They have instructions on how to set it up, but the instructions only go up to Windows XP. I just used my smartphone to get emails. Once again during the check-out received great service from the front desk.

A pleasant stay for New Years Eve

We had a rare night away from the kids, and needed to stay in the Olympia area as our kids were dropped off with friends in the area. We chose the Red Lion based on reviews and region, and it was just what we were after.
The room was average. Comfortable, quiet, but nothing amazing.
The site was pleasant, with trees around the building and a nearby lake.
The staff was friendly and helpful. We walked around the downtown Olympia area in the day, but stayed at the hotel for the evening/night as it was icy out and we are too old to care about big parties for NYE. We had a nice (but not stellar, halibut was fried and heavier than expected) dinner, enjoyed some coctails and listed to a jazz band at the hotel. We enjoyed the fireplace in the morning while doing some reading in the lobby.
Overall, we were satisfied with our quiet retreat.

Extremely Comfortable bed! Lots of pillows. Great location - easy to find just off I-5 but I didn't hear any road noise. The aerobic equipment is new and good quality. Pool and hot tub are secluded which I appreciated, I think it is nice not to be on display to all guests. Not brand spanking new, or ultra luxurious but very well maintained, clean and comfortable. A great value!

Easy to find and not to far to Olympia. The hotel was Quiet, Freindly, Helpfull and clean. The hotel was a basic nice layout. But a bit pricy for the type. The free Breakfast ran low on food and had to wait awhile for more.

The room was great, very spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic - right in the cute, historic downtown, across from the wharf, and only about two blocks from the Farmers Market.
It would be nice if the hotel had its own restaurant, but I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Having a microwave and fridge in the room is a great plus (though that microwave is old - a dial?!?). But really, no complaints!

One of the things I like about this hotel is that there are quite a number of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Description
This hotel offers a free continental breakfast in the morning lobby coffee/tea service all day and is a pet friendly hotel. WiFi is available at no charge to our guests. We also have a few rooms that are still smoking rooms as well. New furniture including beds with new bedding and towels throughout the hotel. We offer very comfortable accommodations. We also have weekly rates available for 7 nights stay or more. We are located just 2 blocks from the State Capitol Campus and just a few short blocks to several restaurants in the Downtown Olympia area. We are also 5 blocks from the Washington Center of Performing Arts and other entertainment venues in Olympia.

Better than most offerings in town

Although the hotel offered a clean and comfortable bed, it is not a 4 or even 3+ star hotel. However, it is the best there is in the town so I was pleased that my stay was pleasant. Interior halls and outside of building are a bit dated. Staff was exceptionally friendly and location was good, away from the night noise of downtown, easy to travel from. It is easy to walk to most downtown activites (farmers market, nice restuarants, the waterfront)but not especially desirable at night.

This place is marginal. Rooms and bathrooms aren't up to current standards, front desk help was OK but certainly not willing to go out of the way to be helpful, and the whole place has the feel of being 10 or 15 years out of date.

We had a really good and comfortable stay at the Ramada. The staff was courteous and attentive, and the included breakfast was excellent. There was a good variety and fresh fruit and good hot and cold selections. We were there for my son's wedding, and we were very pleased with the entire stay. We will stay there the next time we come to Olympia.
