Stayed here before and it's your basic 2 Star place without frills. This trip was marred by a room badly in need of repair. It stunk terribly and there was water leaking all over the carpet. The place was full so they couldn't move me and just gave me a pile of towels to sop up the mess. Staff was nice but why not send maintenance or housekeeping to deal with a waterlogged carpet and odor?

I do travel about once a month. I found that the towels were softer than the average hotel's and the bed was very comfortable. I asked for extra pillows and had them minutes later so the staff was very attentive. All in all I would recommend this hotel to any traveler that will be in the area.

Went to Bellingham for 80th birthday party, which was held in the Mt Baker room in the hotel. Prime rib buffet wasn't quite what we'd hoped for but good.
Handicap room very adeequate. Bed was super comfortable. Overall very nice hotel. Enjoyed eating in the Oboe.

this is a great place to stay....Our daughter goes to Western Washington Unv. and this is the 2nd time we have stayed here. but I was not happy because we booked a non smoking room with 2 queen beds and when we got there around 8pm we were told only smoking rooms were open...well, the staff did not say I am sorry or anything just oh well that is what we have.....That was not Cool.....

First off, the hotel was in the process of changing names and no longer had signs saying La Quinta so it was difficult to find. Our room smelled of stale smoke - so did the hallways and all other common locations. There were dirty towels still hanging in our shower. On the plus... it was quiet and affordable with an adequate breakfast. Probably won't stay again though.

Arrived about 10pm. Check in was freindly with no issues. Room was clean and good-size. One light bulb was out, but that was not a big deal. Typical very thin towels but plenty of them. Across the street form several fast-food restaurants including McDonald's. About 10 minutes to downtown and the waterfront. 2 minutes from I-5 Access but no noise in the room. For the price, just what I was looking for, Recommended for everyone who wants a clean, large, inexpensive room close to services, I-5, and downtown.

My son and I stayed here recently the night before a visit to Western Washington University. We were only a few minutes away from campus, which was great. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also, the shower was at a great height for tall people, unlike those at many hotels. Although we were late in the morning for the continental breakfast, the owner brought out food for us, replenished the orange juice dispenser, and stayed to chat about his family and life in Bellingham. We would definitely stay there again!

Hard to Beat.

Definitely a step above other hotels in its class. The breakfast was great, definitely more than your average continental breakfast...Belgiun waffles, bisquites and gravy, freshly made breakfast sandwiches etc.
The pool and hot tub were great, new flat panel TVs, very clean rooms.
The staff were all great down to the last one...they made you feel like you were in a 5-star hotel. They also offer shuttle service to the airport. They also have good discounts at surrounding restaurants. Great shopping all around them.
All in all a great value for a Bellingham hotel. I would highly recommend them.

Painless check in and check out - everything was ready and waiting in a file for our arrival - very friendly staff. Gave us good advice and directions when we asked. Room was slightly small but spotless. Pool was fantastic. Breakfast was good.

I would describe my experience with Rodeway Inn as nothing but satisfactory. What pleased me most was their cost-effective rooms that fit my budget on my business trip, as where as its proximity to downtown Bellingham. I couldn't ask for anything more for the price that I stayed.

Historic Fairhaven's Finest Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past several years. The high level of comfort, superior level of guest service and the inn's ideal location makes this the perfect place to stay!
The guest rooms overlook the bay, and have a small balcony and fireplace; or, a view of the village green. Once you park your car, there is little need to get into your car to go anywhere else.
This is a fine hotel and has only 22 rooms and one suite which has a large whirlpool tub and fireplace (think romantic)!
The historic Fairhaven district offers a great collection of restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques! Not to mention it is just a couple of blocks from the Amtrak and transportation center so it is possible to take Amtrak's Cascadian train between Vancouver, BC or south from Seattle and not have to have a car at all.
The Fairhaven district overlooks Bellingham Bay and is a couple miles south of the downtown district. Best of all this quiet destination is far from the maddening mall and Interstate traffic. You can even catch the Alaska Ferry and head north to America's last frontier.
