Very friendly staff that gave directions and suggestions o where to buy local produce and pies. The free breakfast was more than expected-great, warm cinnamon buns, muffins, bagels and pancakes.

Fine for a Night

Motel was fine for our 1-night stay. Room was clean and smelled fine, beds were comfortable and breakfast was fine (good waffles). There was some sort of altercation in the parking lot in the middle of the night that woke us up, but can't blame that on the motel. Convenient to I-91 and NH. Fine for a basic motel.

This was a stop over as my wife and I were traveling to several states to ride different bicycling trails. So we just chilled out, eating dinner in our room and watching TV. We did have an issue with the commode stopping up. The Desk clerk moved us the room next door so that moving our luggage would be simple. Also the new room had amenities that were better than the former (HDTV, etc) which we appreciated.

The Econo Lodge was fine. We had a little car trouble as we arrived and the staff was helpful in getting us information about who might be available to help us late on a Saturday afternoon, which was much appreciated. The accommodations were what you would hope to get for the price - clean rooms, clean bathrooms, cable and wifi worked. They allow pets, so it is a good place to stay if you want to go hiking with your dog. The "pet" rooms have a bit of an air freshener smell, but the non- pet rooms do not. All around I was happy with the place.

Motel is basic, as expected at this price range.
Clean, functional, and breakfast a plus.
The male owner isn't so friendly tho. Both myself, my wife, and at least three other pple who stayed there were yelled at because we were using the waffle machine "wrong" or taking too long toasting bread. As if it's our fault that the toaster is slow?

The 68 room Colonial Motel is located in a private quiet Vermont setting a half a mile south of exit 3 off Interstate 91 I-91 on Route 5. Easy access from Interstate or state roads. A great location Just minutes from downtown shopping and the factory outlets ski areas and nearby businesses and corporations. Take a scenic drive on either Routes 5 9 or 30 while in the area. Our Spa and Indoor Pool features a 75 heated lap pool enclosed in a glass greenhouse. The Spa features locker rooms with saunas steam rooms and showers. Our large redwood hot tub is located outside on the patio where hot tubs were meant to be. Located next to the lobby is Micheles Ristorante An Italian restaurant restaurant featuring the areas finest dining experience with Copper Bar Lounge fireplace and woodstove heated.

Some of the comments say that the rooms are in dis-repair, but the room we were given was great! 2 double beds and very large. The bar/restaurant was nice and cozy, we especially enjoyed the large fireplace in use at dinner and at the continental breakfast. 45-60 mins to Stratton on 30 North, depending on how fast you drive. Traffic was never an issue to and from the mountain. We would stay here again on our next ski trip to Statton because of the price.

The staff was very nice I have no complaints with them.
I brought my family on a short business/fun trip to this hotel. WE had rooms side by side and we could hear everything that was said in each others rooms.
The continental breakfast consisted of 8 mini muffins, coffe and tea,no juice no cereal no bagels.
I did ask the girl on duty when the rest of the breakfast was coming out and was informed that this is all there would be. The hotel was full so I really don't think the 8 muffins were going to go very far.

If you are looking for a cheap place that is still close to skiing, this is a viable option. Definitely not posh accomodations, but perfect for our group of ski bums that was looking for a cheap place to simply crash.
