Had to find a bed for the night and this fit the bill fine. Free wi-fi was nice but the continental breakfast is minimal. Use the money saved to get a proper breakfast at any of the nearby restaurants.

Not bad for 50. The echo village motel is 45.00 and that's like the bates motel. The TV didn't work right as I couldn't get most channels to come up even thou the guide said it had certain channels.

WE FOUND THE HOTEL AND HOTEL STAFF TO BE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE EMPLOYEES OF THE BAR WERE RUDE AND ACTED LIKE THEY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TO DO THEIR JOB.

We have been staying at this location for over 4 years. The desk and wait staff are wonderful, the rooms are large and accomodating, the restaurant is excellent, and the overall experience is exccellent di=espite the modest tariff. Enjoy!

Good value and great location

I travel the I-81 corridor several times a year to my house in Asheville, NC from eastern Long Island with my 2 dogs and have stayed at several other hotels off the highway but none compares to this one for price, quality and overall comfort. Last year I stopped in Harrisonburg Va and stayed at the Residence by Marriot and was charged $200 for the room and an additional $100 for the 2 small dogs. FOr $300 I could have stayed in a 5 star hotel in DC not some "motel" off the highway.
I regularly stay at Starwood properties and so was thrilled when I saw that Aloft had opened in Winchester and it didn't let me down. The welcome by the front desk, after a long 8 hour drive was warm and welcoming and my dogs were also made to feel at home with their own beds and bowls provided by the hotel. They have a nice selection of food available on site and there are many restaurants directly opposite the hotel. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable and brand new with a large flat screen tv and mini fridge. The decor was quite nice, very modern and W chic and perfect for an overnight or several night stay. I will be staying there again on my ride back north in 2 weeks and am glad I don't have to go through DC just to get another Starwood hotel.

Good bang for the buck

We always enjoy traveling when we can take our pets. Only problem was that they wanted to deny access in the breakfast area to our service dog. They should recheck the ADA regulations. The room was clean and the breakfast area better than most. All in all, a good value for the money.

Quiet, nice, convenient, BUT

I have stayed in Winchester many, many times: either at the Courtyard Marriot, or the Wyngate... For the same price, the Wyngate offers free breakfast, newspaper, and a wide range of News TV channels.
The Courtyard does not offer breakfast free, newspaper, and for inexplicable reasons, allowed CNN, MSNBC, but not Fox News Network, which offers more fair and balanced reporting.

I stayed at the Courtyard since it was close to a customer for work. Clean rooms, reliable Internet, good service, friendly staff. However, the fitness room was a bit of a let down compared to other Courtyard's I've stayed at in the past. The equipment was pretty old and someone from maintenance had to come in to get two of the treadmills to even work. Other than that, it was a great stay!
