My stay was great! Condos are dated but they are currently making reservations. I only wished that they had put me in a newer condo. This would've definitely impressed me and possibly made me reconsider purchasing. Great value for the dollar from Cheap Tickets; personal jacuzzi was great and location was perfect. Nearby shopping and movie theater. I wish I could've stayed longer; didn't get to visit the indoor pool. Staff was great! I called about my window not locking and someone was there within 10 minutes to fix it, replace screen on sliding glass doors and reverse locks. Kudos to lead carpenter; sorry I forgot his name but I have it somewhere. Will definitely return soon for a Girls Weekend. I really enjoyed my ME TIME!!!

from check in to check out i could not of asked for a better location,right in the middle of the triangle..the friendliest staff for the entire stay..convienent to stores restraunts and the grounds were nice..to bad the manor house was closed..hot tub and pool very nice..doors to the units were LOUD..that was my only complaint..thanx again to the staff..

Clean, newly renovated time share community

The Williamsburg Planation was a great place to stay. Our unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The community is a time share community and has lots of activities available, but we did not take advantage of any of them as we spent our time seeing the sights in Williamsburg. There are plenty of hotels that are a few minutes closer to Colonial Williamsburg, but you should pick this one if you're looking for something larger or something with a kitchen.

Great location, spacious room, easy access to laundry (8 ft from the door!), fun playground and pool for kiddos. 10 minutes from Williamsburg, lots of restaurants near by and easy access to 64. We will definitely be back!

We did it all! Water park, Busch Gardens,Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Really close to food, shopping, gas ect. We had a great time. This economical hotel fit the bill as a cheap place to sleep. Breakfast is all carbs but had limitless coffee. Beds were great,pillows were super puffy.
Pool was sparkling and clean. TV in lobby was nice.

My husband & I arrived at the Woodlands the weekend of the new year. Our room was great and the hotel staff was very pleasant. Each morning there was a complimentary breakfast with something for everyone. Took the evening Christmas Tide tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. Also took day tour of house door decorations which was OK. Weather was in the low 60's which was not the usual cold temperatures in Williamsburg in December. Recommend a holiday weekend stay.

The signage was insufficient making it very difficult to find the check in desk & the return to our room after going off-site. Even the GPS was confused! The only other negative is the boldly striped wallpaper on the walls which is very hard on the eyes. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and conveniently located next to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor's Center and the highway to other points of interest. Great Location, decent Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel about 8 times since the early '80's when visiting Williamsburg and have never had a bad experience. The location makes it perfect for access to Colonial Williamsburg ( about a 4 block walk ). Once you know how to get around Williamsburg, getting to the hotel is quite simple from the major highways. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean.
This hotel is starting and has for a couple of years, to show some signs of age and use. Williamsburg is a very popular and busy destination for tourists and business meetings. Most of the hotels where I've stayed, show various degrees of wear and tear. There can be minor maintenance issues at any of the hotels. This trip, the shower head was broken and needed replaced ,the vanity sink had very low flow from the faucets, and the mattress was definitely not of the highest quality. Still it is a decent enough place to stay. When I return to Williamsburg I WILL check to see if I can find a room here again.

Our one night involved a late check in, a room change at the desk, and early morning breakfast in the room. Staff handled our late check in and request for two beds well. Our food was delivered on time. What was supposed to be hot, was hot.. What was supposed to be cold was cold. Staff were friendly and efficient. The location, across street from William & Marry, is within walking distance to college, shopping and historic area and can't be beat. The price, $89.00 a night, was right. The rooms are clean and well kept. The only critique: it was probably redecorated 10-15 years ago, so the decor is dated colonial instituional. Not real fancy.

The only concern is that the room (in the South Guesthouse) had a small bathroom. One also could hear people in the next room talking - and having knowledge of what they were talking about! But, it was a comfortable little room and cozy. The staff were very nice and genuine, so overall a nice place to stay. They offered complimentary coffee in the restaurant. Staff serving in the lodge bar were excellent all around.

Motel exterior could have used attention. Front desk staff was nice enough. Room was just a room...clean but dated...bed was OK...towels were small and rough. We had to exchange TV remote and had kids playing/skating outside our door after 10PM. Didn't try the free breakfast or the pool area. Will probably try something a little nicer next stay in the area.

The hotel was nice but we were misled on checkout time. Online checkout is 12:00. This is not true. Check out is 11:00. We were disappointed because this is why we chose this hotel. When we brought it to the attention of the lady working the counter she pretty much told us too bad!

Hotel was nice, great location to Williamsburg Visitor's Center and a multitude of restaurants. The price was great for a King bed room with a walk-in shower. The continental breakfast was more than expected, which included Belgian waffles and sausage gravy & biscuits among the regular expected breakfast items. We enjoyed the 24 hour coffee also!

We went to Williamsburg to visit Busch Gardens, and stayed for one night. Although the hotel was a short drive away, everything there was exactly what we needed. We showed up a few minutes after check-in began and found our room was ready for us already. The check in was quick and easy, and the staff we encountered was pleasant and courteous. The room itself was clean and set up efficiently. This isn't a place I would stay for a week or so, but provided an excellent one night's stay.

My wife, kids, parents, and brother stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we have absolutely no complaints. With the pool, spa, and game room, the kids had plenty to do. Also, the hotel was a very easy, five-minute drive from Colonial Williamsburg, which is where we spent most of our time.

Upon arrival with my confirmation email in hand the desk clerk informed me that they had proof that I had reserved (and paid for) a hotel room, however, they did not reserve a room for me. So this could have turned out very badly. But, I got to stay in a suite for the price that I had paid for a regular room. No upgrade charges. The room was very nice. Breakfast was amazing. For a free breakfast, I was blown away!

I came down with my family for a few days a Busch Gardens. This is our go to hotel. Nice staff, clean and comfy rooms, and great location. Breakfast room can be crowded in the morning and has limited options. But overall, had a great experience.

Stayed here for memorial day weekend while visiting the local area and Busch gardens. Checked in at 12:30 Am sat nit with no problems front desk staff very nice and helpful. Room is decent for the price and bed was comfortable. Pool was nice and refreshing. Was going to check out on Mon but decided to stay an extra night and checked back into hotel with the same room with no problems. Hotel is in a great location within a few miles of all the sites and attractions. Colonial Williamsburg right down the street. Only drawback of the hotel is the parking lot is very narrow so with alot of cars there it was hard to move around and park but other then that its fine. Def will stay again. Planning another trip in a coulpe of weeks!!!

Nice little hotel for the price- nothing fancy. Very clean, good service and centrally located to water country usa and colonial williamsburg, restaurants and outlet shopping. There is a manager's reception from 5:30=7:30 with complimentary drinks (including alcoholic) and light snacks. It was perfect after a long hot day to get snacks and a beer gratis! The complimentary breakfast selection is huge, but I recommend sticking with the bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee and juice, as the hot items were just so=so.

We wanted a hotel centrally located to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens to attend Christmas activities in both locations. The price and location of this hotel fit our requirements. Issues encountered: To access the free WiFi you needed to disable your anti-virus software. Poor design layout: to access the indoor pool and breakfast room you had to go outside; Breakfast room also cramped and hard to find. Food was adequate. Took staff over an hour to deal with a disturbingly rowdy group that began at midnight on Friday.

Quick, extremely friendly checkin. Parking was a little tight at 10 pm, but I found a spot quickly. Room was clean and quiet. Bathroom wasn't spotless, but wasn't unclean. Towels seemed to be brand new. The next morning, the free breakfast was fine. Would stay here again.

The staff was very helpful from the first day until we checked out. The chef was personable. The rooms were clean. The beds were too soft for us, but they made immediate arrangements to solve the problem. ( sweet dreams ) Our stay was very enjoyable.

We spent 3 nights here, while exploring Virginia's historic sites at Williamsburg, Yorktown & Jamestown. Hotel was very convenient to the Colonial Parkway that accesses all 3 areas.
Hotel was totally smoke free, quiet, clean, and 4 yrs. old, we heard from staff. Staff was friendly, without exception. Fitness center and pool were great. Loved having microwave & frig in room. Very comfortable beds! Hotel mgt. promptly repaired broken ladder rung in pool. When I asked about breakfast deal mentioned on line (2 adult breakfasts for $1 each), manager approved it, even though desk clerk wasn't aware of it. Would definitely return here!

Great location...could use some work.

Check in was an absolute breeze, which was great as we arrived in the midst of a horrendous heatwave effecting most of the nation.
The lobby was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The staff, drained from the heat, remained very kind and patient as they dealt with each customer and tried to get us all settled quickly. (We all seemed to arrive at the same time.)
We toured Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. We found this location nicely located as our main goal was to tour Williamsburg. The visitors center is practically around the corner with great family-friendly restaurants within walking distance.
More than anything, I'd love to see this hotel take time to really clean and paint the rooms. Tighten or repair air conditioning units - (The front of ours was hanging off.), - but it worked despite the unbelievable July 22-25, 2011 heat wave.
I would rate this hotel nice, functional and great if you don't have small children. It's too germy for small children. You would need to come prepared to really clean before you could comfortably let them loose. But for teens and adults, you can definitely stay comfortably here.

The hotel was located in the perfect location where there were many dinning choices. Of course with two teenage boys pizza was good for them. The hotel was clean and the breakfast that was served the next day was more than adequate. The hotel staff were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. I would recommend this hotel

We were at the hotel for only two nights but they were very enjoyable nights. The hotel was comfortable, staff polite, the continental breakfast could have been a bit more fancy, in my mind. The location in town was excellent, easy access to many stores and restaurants.
