the mattress was as hard as a rock and the pillows were so flat that not even stacking all four of them was enough to keep me comfortable. and charging $10/day for internet is just crazy.

While a bit tired in its appearance, the hotel is comfortable and offers access to nicer parts of Norfolk. The rooms are nothing special if not a bit "old" in style and ammenities. I was suprised not to find a safe in the room to keep my wallet when I left my room. No Wi-Fi connection for internet access. I used the fitness center which was a bit crampted and hot but still offered enough equipment to get a decent work-out. I ordered room service, too tired from a long day of travel to venture donwtsaird to the hotel restaurant. The meal arrived cold and soggy and 5 minutes past their gurantee of 30 minute delivery. Overall, it's a decent nights stay with a great view of the water.

It was a nice hotel. My husband came home from deployment, and I was traveling with our 9 month old son. The staff was friendly and they were willing to help with anything I needed for the baby because we were staying for a week. The housekeeper was excellent and was extremely helpful with anthing we needed. The restaurant was very cold in the morning for breakfast, that was my only complaint. all and all a very nice hotel! We would definately stay there again!

Decent; hotel, wish they had a complimentary breakfast. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, but room was a little cramped. Horrible view over business parking lot from our room. Great location for shopping as it is directly across the street from the MacArthur Center. Close to Granby Street's bars, restaurants, clubs, and other touristy venues but your lady will not want to make that walk in heels, make sure she brings her Old Navy flip-flops or those little slip-on flats that fit in a purse. Parking is $18 by valet only so with in-and-outs you'll need a view extra $$$ for the tip. They have a great indoor swimming pool area, probably the best I've seen a non 5-star hotel. Our toilet broke to where we had to lift the tank lid to force it to flush. When I reported it during check-out the front desk immediately comped my parking fee.

I booked this hotel to enjoy the Norfolk area over the weekend. Unfortunately there were 2k plus high school age kids in town for DECA. I did not appreciate the hotel not mentioning they had a large amount kids staying there this weekend and for the most part unsupervised. Low and behold, Saturday night from about mid-night until 230 AM we laid awake listening to four of the young ladies who were screaming and carrying on in the adjoining room...unsatisfactory at mulitiple levels. Otherwise the hotel was clean and pleasant, minus all the noise.

The hotel is in a great location right off the interstate. There is a mall two blocks down where we did some shopping. The bathroom in my room was not cleaned at all at check in. Other than that the room and hotel was ok.

The hotel itself is fine. The tenants who stay there for longer periods of time (contractors/workers) must work in the hotel ALL Night long. Banging and slamming doors, walking and knocking upstairs like there's construction going on. What's that all about? Sleep before you stay here because there's no sleeping once you get there.

I arrived at the hotel very late at night, i called the number that was in my confirmation and a night attendant came down within minutes to let me in. I thought it was kind of weird that the front desk was closed but the security outside surveying the area made me feel a little safer. I'm guessing they need security to keep all the crazy's away. overall good stay, nice staff, okay rooms, okay amenities. they could however liven up the decor. the location was perfect!!! if you need everything in walking distance this hotel would be perfect.

The room was FAR from IMMACULATE, wrapper wasn't off the boxspring and mattress itself was stained! There was a used wet bandaid on the bathroom counter, a needle cover from a syringe on the floor by the bed and a piece of clear latex film on the bedside table!!The dining table included in the room wobbled so bad when I put my laptop bag on it we DID NOT use it at all for fear of breaking and the lounge chair was stained all over. Soda machine DID NOT WORK, The washer/dryer they had on property looked like something out of a horror novel and I WASN'T putting any of my belongings in it and to top it off the ice machine was broken also but the guy inside said "It just broke and if you want ice that bad there is a 7 eleven down the road". The view was GREAT and access to beach was right there BUT there was a lot of unsavory buisness going on at the hotel and in the parking lot at night. There was NO wireless internet and the rooms looked like they were recently renovated BUT very POORLY done!!!

Room smelled very old and musty. Sheets were stained. No clock, hairdryer or blankets. Remote control for TV had no back, so the batteries kept falling out. Phone was filthy and had big pieces of plastic missing - exposed wires. Door did not close all the way, leaving a huge gap between door and frame. Chain was missing on safety lock. Cigarette burns on carpet, bathtub, sink and nightstand. Microwave was dirty. Shelves in fridge were dirty and racks in door of fridge were missing. Two doors down, a man appeared to be arranging short meetings in the room with a scantily dressed woman and/or making drug deals with cars that pulled up, exchanged something and left.

The room was big and it was nice to have a refrigerator and a coffee-maker. The bathroom was not as clean as I would like but for the money it was a great deal. The staff were very nice and friendly!

I walked on the beach with my companion and enjoyed the sand and surf. It overlooked the Chesapoeake Bay bridge Tunnel and the Hampton Roads tunnel. The motel was clean and the refrigerator was ice cold. The ac worked fantastic and It was very clean and accomidating with a coffee pot that was push for a cup. I will definately stay again and the price was very affordable ...I reccomend this place. I have stayed here every trip and I see vast improvements each time. The satff is freindly and helpful I give them a 10 for service. The only thing that they need is noghtime security foir the beach side. There was far too much activity that was not form guest.

For the price we paid it was pretty good. Nothing fancy but it worked just fine.

good for the money - easy access to interstate

the staff was pleasant and efficient. room was clean but average size. was going to use the outdoor pool but a thunderstorm came up.

the hotel was really run down and the air conditioner constantly leaked all over the floor so that the rug was wet. I have stayed at Super 8's before and it has always been a great experience. The employees were wonderful, though! I had a great time talking to them. They were very hospitable.

i have stayed in many super 8 hotels before. They are some very nice ones. When you want to sleep, you just would like to have a nice clean room with clean linen on a confortable bed. Fresh air in the room so you can breath. That wasn,t the case at this hotel. room next door kept us up all nite from the noise. Furniture is in bad need of change, especially the beds. Continential breakfast was advertised, but there were non when we arrived at 9:45.
