More for shopping, and we did not do any shopping at all. We were there for the 4th of July and travelled to DC area for most of the trip. The hotel was very close to McDonald and Starbucks.

The walk over to the Metro was relatively short, but crossing the street takes a while because there aren't many crosswalks. The shopping center offers quite a few options for shopping.
