Was a good expierence. We asked to be moved because of some red spill on bathroom floor that was rather gross and should have been cleaned prior to our stay. the next morning they moved us and was very gracious about it.

We went to Richmond Int. Speedway to see the NASCAR race over the weekend. The hotel was very nice, would have liked a free breakfast and the entry light was not working in our room. The staff was friendly and the location was perfect for us.

"A" good stop in far west end Richmond

A clever modern twist on hotels, the A Loft was a B+ good stop in West End Richmond/Short Pump/Glen Allen on Hwy. 250/ W. Broad Street. Big Mall 2 stoplights west. Walk 100 yds. to Whole Foods for food & dining = nice! Restaurants abound. Drug stores hardest to locate. Very quiet community location. Parking garage. Non-smoking. No valet. Not real kid friendly. The rooms and especially long hallways have far too many hard surfaces = noisy w/ every passing hotel guest. 2nd level hotel lobby = odd in a non- urban setting but has nice bar and snacks kitchen. Super nice staff, clean room. No wireless : ( was a disconnect with so modern a look and psyche. But with all warts, still a big step up for that part of town - take it from a transplanted native back over many yrs. to see Richmond family.
Connection to hwy. is Nice as I-64 has ingress/ egress within 1/4 mile of this development with Whole Foods & A Loft. There is condo construction adjacent but not a hindrance to traffic. As this sits in a new mixed use site of at least 100 acres and borrows heavily on themes of Richmond's historic row houses, cobblestone/brick streets, promenade boulevards with a few cafes and water with gazebo, it's a nice spot to unwind in far West Richmond. Enjoy!

Our family took a trip to Kings Dominion. The hotel we stayed in the first night was terrible. I'm not a big complainer and can overlook quite a few things due to the time actually spent in the hotel room, but our stay was unpleasant. So I looked up other options and ran across this hotel. It was SO much better. The minute we pulled up I knew it was going to be enjoyable. Check in was easy, the cleanliness of the building and our room were great! The beds were comfortable, the atmosphere had a safe feeling, unlike the night before where we'd stayed, and the breakfast the next morning was a hot one. :) Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and for the price it's well worth it.

Great value for the location and quality of the hotel. Room layout is great and loved the big flat screen TV. Only complaint would be that the bed was too hard for my liking. I have had better sleeping accomodations at the Marriot, but would have also paid $20-$30 more per night.

I needed a hotel to stay in so I can take the GRE test and HGI is absolutely perfect. When we first came in the staff greeted us with a smile and was absolutely friendly. After taking the long 4 hour test I just wanted to curl up in bed and rest, and that was what they had. The beds were so soft.

Knights Inn in Glen Allen, VA was plain nasty!! My one year old sons socks were completely brown from walking/crawling on the floor for about 2 hours. As soon as I noticed I wouldnt even let him down to play. Staff was very rude as well.

We chose this hotel for it's economical price and close proximity to downtown Richmond. If you don't mind traveling 10 min. during your Richmond visit, it is certainly worth the trip. The room was clean; hotel quiet and the community seemed safe and quiet. The only disappointment was the lack of breakfast; although there was fresh coffee.

The kids really enjoy the warm swimming pool and my wife the spa. The room was large and clean. The morning breakfast was good as per all the family. We have extended our stay as per everybody was very satisfied of this hotel.

It is a great place to stay as a business traveler although for a vacation, I would probably go for something a little plushier. I would definitely stay there again for my business travel into Richmond.

This hotel was one of the best I have stayed in. The room was very clean and well-kept, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cutlery, and glasses, as well as pots and pans. The bathroom was spotless!!!! (That is always good!) The hotel employees were very helpful and assisted us in finding restaurants and shopping locations. I would reccommend this hotel to everyone as a great place to stay.

this is a nice hotel short drive from 95, i was looking for a place to spend the night with the family and found this hotel when i checked in they offer help with my bags but i left most of them in the car since it was just for one night. the hotel has a 24hr gym an underground tunel to connect to the other buldings in case its raining. the room was very clean and comfortable when i travel again from nyc to florida i will be stoping again in this hotel for a longer stay i liked the area very nice and quiet

The golf course and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The room size is very comfortable with nice bedding and bathroom. The short distance to travel to Kings Dominion makes this a great place to stay each time we visit. Oh and the food in the Restaurant was delicious! Great breakfast buffet!

A night in Glen Allen

Check in clerk was very nice, room was clean but had a strong powder (like baby powder) scent. Breakfast was limited to white bread toast with jams and butter, 2 types of cereal, donut holes, juice, milk, coffee and bananas. The cable is Comcast and my TV had a VCR player (don't know if it worked). I was there one night, if I had to stay longer, I would like a better place to stay. No map of the area with restaurants, shopping and the like, I don't understand that (ended up getting a frozen dinner from Food Lion).

The good and the disappointing.

This hotel location was very good. However, I was very disappointed on several fronts. 1) The website clearly stated that there was a pool. Unfortunately, there was certainly no pool, much to the children's disappointment. 2) The website claimed a "Complimentary Deluxe Continental Breakfast". Well, if cold cereal, a couple of bananas, nearly stale donuts, and a few pieces of bread available for toasting constitute a deluxe breakfast, then they are entirely accurate. Even worse was the lack of milk for the cold cereal, and the inability to receive any answer when ringing the bell for some service. The juice was very good; everything else was terrible. 3) There was a lot of creaking from upstairs...it wasn't a terrible distraction, but it was definitely noticeable. I'm guessing it was just people walking around in the room above us.
Normally I would have been satisfied with the motel, had I not had the high expectations based on the website. We paid a reasonable price, and the room was nice for what I paid for it.

Loved the location of this hotel. Very close to Short Pump shopping Center and other neat stores. The staff was very friendly. They gave us several DVD's to check out and also provided free popcorn and microwave in the room. Even though this was a busines trip, it was like a mini-vacation. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.

Room was clean, but missing cooking items. The bathroom faucet leaked all night. I told the staff member at the desk when I checked out, she said Ok I'll tell someone to fix it. She did not ask someone how I could be compensated for my unrest.
