Description
The Crystal Inn hotel in West Valley City is beautiful, modern hotel less than 10 minutes from Salt Lake International Airport. Utahs second largest city, West Valley City is located on the outskirts of Salt Lake City, just south of the Great Salt Lake and Salt Lake International Airport. The Great Salt Lake is only a few minutes away from the hotel. The nearby Great Salt Lake State Marina offers beautiful views of the lake, Antelope Island State Park and Black Rock. Just outside of West Valley City, lies the worlds largest open pit mine. Standing at the overlook within Kennecotts Bingham Canyon Mine, you can see, hear, and feel the breathtaking and awesome magnitude of the largest man-made excavation on earth. Inside the Visitors Center historic photographs, interactive exhibits, and three-dimensional models provide an educational and entertaining experience for people of all ages. All was ok. Found SLC hotels a little overpriced in general. Recommend that all Crystal Inns serve their hot breakfast until 10 am daily - that would boost them up on a higher grade.
What is good - includes dinners at hotel you can heat up in room using micro/fridge. Really good idea for on the road travellers who want to eat in.

Good location. Easy access to freeway. Advertised free wireless, but there was no signal in my room. Access to computers at front desk, kept it from being a bad experience, but still did not get what I paid for. Good breakfast bar, but if you're a tea drinker, very poor selection.
