I found the Super 8 as a good experience especially for the price. Good experience with check-in, the rooms were very roomy and clean. The breakfast could use some improvement but for a quick coffee, roll, muffin or cereal, it was ok. I did not experience any problems what so ever and will stay there again.

My flight was cancelled so I wasn't able to get in until later. I called the hotel and they held the room for me. When I arrived check in was quick and easy and they even gave me a little care bag with a bottle of water and some cookies.

I was in Waco for an event in Cameron Park a few miles away and just need a room for myself and gear.This was perfect. I had a king room and was surprised at the nice quality of the room, bed, and bedding. The fridge/microwave was handy too. Bathroom and sink fixtures a little under par compared to the sleeping area, but adequate for this price. My upstairs corner room was quiet and looked out on Baylor University. Hotel is right beside I35 and next to the downtown. Recommend Sams on the Square for food/drink. Cameron Park is a gem on the Brazos River. Note: Coffee maker in room is one of those that will only accept the the little pods in a plastic tray. Nearest Starbucks is up the interstate 4 or 5 miles.

Expensive due to Baylor parents weekend and a little hard to get to. Room service and help with luggage would be a plus for the room rate. 3 staff watched me juggle 3 yr old twins plus a luggage cart without helping. That was a bummer but otherwise LOVED the hotel. Beautiful room and comfortable beds! Would stay here again!!

We were greeted by friendly staff and found a very clean room with a great view of the pool and gazebo. Unfortunately, it was too cold to swim, but I was able to utilize the gym each day. You all do a great job!

Came to visit my grandmother in the Waco area. The hotel was decent but the room was below my expectations for a Hilton hotel. It was only one night and nothing really bothered me too much except for a weird smell on our floor. I suspect that it was weed since our room number was 420... Anyway, not a terrible experience in the least, but I just thought it would be a better. At least wi-fi was free.

Wrong Room??

When I checked in they gave me the key card to my room. When I went up and opened the door, the chain was locked and there was someone in the room who got (understandably) upset. I went down stairs to the frontdesk and explained what had happened the clerk at the front desk called the room then spent a long time appologizing to the man in the room. It made me feel very uncomfortable. The clerk gave me a key card to another room. Not once did she appologize to me for putting me in that situation.
The breakfast in the morning was very poor. Mostly cold cereal or frozen waffles and there was only one small toaster that everyone was waiting for. At least the coffee was hot, because that is all that I had.

Hotel is convenient and clean and was well suited to the need of a clean an inexpensive place to stay while in Waco to take a class. Walls are thin and I could hear the people in the room above mine. This was the only draw back. Otherwise everything else was very satisfactory.

After checking in, given a key to my room - when I unlocked my door, someone was standing in the room (desk checked me into an occupied room). Received different room, and within five minutes while unpacking in room, someone was at my door unlocking it because desk had checked someone else into the room I had just been given. Finally, after all this was settled, had a decent stay.

This hotel was perfect for a weekend visit with my daughter who attends Baylor. It's a very easy 1 1/2 mile from the school in a safe location. [...] But definitely a great hotel. There were two desktop computers and printers in an open office area that we used for Mapquest directions. That was very helpful, and I enjoyed not being in a tiny closed room, as is the case with many hotel work centers. Would have liked some optional continental breakfast option other than the full breakfast for 8.95 per person. We decided to skip breakfast as a result. The King size room with couch was VERY small. I think it would have felt more spacious without the couch. And the bathroom could use an upgrade.But other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

This was a cheap hotel, so I got what I paid for.
I was there for the Waco Wild West Century bike ride. It was less than a mile from the starting line, so I was able to ride to the starting line.
The hotel wasn't really clean, but it wasn't filthy. It had a faint odor. The phone was in the drawer. I couldn't find the remote.
It was close to downtown and cheap. I would stay there again if I needed a place to sleep on the cheap.

I would probably give this a 2.5 stars, 2 seems too low, but three is way too high. It wouldn't have been worth it if the price was any higher. Room was pretty clean, smoke free, etc. I was booked a handicap room for some reason, but the only difference from a normal room was that there wasn't a door on the bathroom (just a curtain) and there was a bar in the tub. Otherwise I was finding it hard to believe that a wheelchair, or even more so, a scooter, could fit around the beds. The bottom of the tub was dingy- I think just stains from years of use, but still not a very pleasant site. Toilets were nice and "newer"- other items in bathroom, like soap dispenser, were 70's, or maybe even 60's time frame, but at least they were there. Also had a fridge/freezer, and microwave- very nice to have. Beds appeared clean, but I am not confident in my bedbug sighting skills, so the kids and I slept on top of the bedding and used the comforter as a blanket. A/C was bit too cold, even on lowest setting, but I'd rather be a little cold than too hot. Beds were very bouncy/squeaky, though. My back and neck still hurt two days later. Service was pretty good- door key/lock gizmo broke and wouldn't read cards, and they had it taken out and replaced in a matter of minutes. Free breakfast was pretty bare bones and bland, but at least there was something and breakfast area was very clean. I couldn't understand the couple who was running the place very well- their English was very hard to understand- but that seems to be the norm at a lot of places these days and it could just be my bad listening skills :)
Bottom line- I would recommend if you're looking for a cheap one-nighter. Wouldn't stay more than one night, or if I was looking for a "get-a-way" experience.

I go to Waco every year and always stay here. The location is perfect; the staff are always gracious and helpful; and I haven't had any problems with my room.

They charge a $100 non refundable pet fee. A complete rip off. I did my homework about pet friendly hotels and the Residence Inn chain was listed. Pet Fee was listed at max 25.00, with a note that a refundable portion may be required. I got in after a long day on the road (moving to Texas) and was hit with $100.00 non refundable fee for my cat. Residence Inn Waco is a complete rip off for pet lovers.
I double checked their website and they do not advertise the non refundable pet fee. I plan to talk with corporate management of the Residence Inn Monday.
Do not stay there if you have a pet.

An OK place to stop

On the plus side, we enjoyed the free hot breakfast, small refridgerator, internet service, and the friendly staff. On the not so positive side, the water for the shower never got warm, the pool was closed, and while there are several rooms on the inside of the building, we were given one that has a door to the parking lot and had to walk outside to get to the breakfast and lobby.

we were in waco for Baylor orientation. Hotel was close to campus and served our purpose. Although, there was nothing glaringly wrong, the hotel was definitely no frills.

Nice accommodations. Room was clean
and beds comfortable with normal breakfast offerings.
Neither hot tub or pool was operational and was unable to change next day reservations due to this hotel managements policy.

Good. Staff are all nice and friendly. We were let check in at 12am, the official check in time is 3pm. The room is clean and the sleeping number bed is great.
Not so good. kind of noisy, some highway noise did penetrated into room (so not so good insulation of windows). WIndow style AC also noisy. I had to turn it off to sleep but it was too hot without AC on.

Excellent staff and ammenities

I recently stayed at this hotel two different times when my husband was admitted to nearby Providence Hospital. The first time, my son and I split the days into 12 hour shifts, so someone was in the room almost all the time. The housekeeping and front staff could not have been more accomodating. They worked with us to keep the room "up" and brought clean towels, etc, when needed. I was leaving by 7am and returning after dark. The building was well lit and I always felt secure. My second visit I was on my own and, again, the staff were so kind. This is a very well run hotel - everyone I met was courteous and professional. And the breakfast..., WOW! It's the standard hotel breakfast with improvements. Their cook makes everything tasty and adds some surprises. The buffet is well laid out and one of the best I've seen. Don't travel as much as I used to, but if I'm in Waco again (for pleasure I hope!), I'll stay here.

We arrived very late and the check in was fast and easy. The staff was very friendly and give our little dog some doggy treats. Check out was fast and simple. We were pleased with everything except the small towels. Over all, the accomodations were very good for the price.

we went to the mall and the movies after taking care of my sons businees. everything was great but the room deoderizer they used was way too strong and really gave my son and me aheadache.

2nd floor rooms have refrig and microwave. television was terrible - never found the free HBO channel. old stained carpeting. never saw the staff - one evening when I returned it appeared someone had propped up the pillows and was watching TV in the room - because I made the bed each morning and the pillows were under th bedspread when I left. did receive clean towels every day. the pool looked clean, didn't get a chance to check it out. there was a laundry room somewhere. the ice machine was outside. It rained every day I was there so did not want to chance the ice. The continental breakfast was a bagel, banana, and cereal - if you dared.

The staff at the Econo Inn was very professional and helpful. They were able to answer many of our questions about what there was to do in Waco, as well as very acoomodating to our needs. The price is amazing and it's a nice walk to Baylor College just down the road. Great access to the freeway to get anywhere you might need to go in Waco. Although the freeway is a bit close and I recommend ear plugs. We had a great stay.
