My goal in booking this hotel was to have a place to sleep without forking over much cash. And, indeed, it was a place to sleep and was the least expensive in town. I was welcomed by a rather large cockroach who took up residence in the bathtub. The air conditioning was nice, while it worked. The staff was hit-or-miss: the overnight clerk was very friendly and helpful. The morning crew, however, didn't even acknowledge my existence when I tried to ask questions while eating the cereal provided for breakfast... reminded me of life on the East coast.
In summary, if you're a cheapo like me and looking for a slight upgrade from sleeping in a tent or your car, and you don't mind having neighbors with six legs or drug needles, this might suit you. If you're looking for a place for your family to stay, I'd keep looking.

The Hotel's location is very good, since we were there with our daughters for College Orientation (ASU). The staff was very helpful, but just a little to watchful (kind of creapy as if watching every move you made).

I have stayed at this property several times, usually on one of the busiest weekends of the year in San Angelo. The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable.

For the area this is a nice motel. The room was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was your standard fare. The staff, although competent, were very hard to look at with their tats and piercings.
Overall, the best place I have stayed in San Angelo.

Overall, my friend and I had a good time at this hotel. It's close to the university and about a 5 minute drive to downtown. It's a nice, modern property with a great breakfast. The one thing they could have done better was to put the loud family with the kids not in the neighboring room. The property seemed not too full and it would have made our stay more relaxing. Maybe the hotel was fuller than I thought though. Anyways, overall we enjoyed our stay and I would stay there again.

Reserved a Non Smoking room and when we went to check in we had a Smoking room. The woman at the front desk said they were booked and had no non smoking rooms available and asked if I wanted Febreeze. A few hours later and several minutes on the phone with customer service, there were cancellations and we were moved to a non smoking room.

The staff was helpful, and patient. The cleaning staff was warm and friendly, and efficient too. My room was very clean and in a quiet location. I slept well every night! The breakfast was good, except every morning the boiled eggs ran out first thing after 8 am.

My room reservation was made by my son. However, it was my younger son and I that stayed in the room. My older son, who made the reservation for me, attends San Angelo State and we will be making return visits to San Angelo. We did a little sight-seeing as well and will do more each trip there.
I would have liked to have had a small coffee pot, a bathtub, some sort of t.v. guide, and a box of kleenex in my own room. As a single mother I was also afraid because of the men a few doors down from me. There were 4 to 5 men standing out on the balcony drinking beer for several hours. I did not report it to the staff for fear of retribution from these men so the staff knew nothing about it. However, I believe there should be some sort of security in the evening hours to roam the motel for outside disturbances. These men should have been asked to gather INSIDE their rooms after a brief interlude on the balcony with at least one follow-up after the warning.
As far as the location of the motel, it was very convenient from the Loop and easy to find. But it didn't take long to realize I was not in the safest part of town. I'm not sure what could be done, if anything, to make the motel seem more private and safe.
We did like the updated rooms, vibrant colors, and cleanliness!

The beds were dirty. There were crumbs on my blankets and the floor had some weird stain on it that looked like someone had cleaned up blood or vomit. I purchased a soda from the vending machine and it tasted weird. When I looked at the expiration date it had expired on 8/23/10. I was drinking a soda that had been expired for over a year!!!. If they cleaned up the place and payed attention to some details it would be better. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!

We just wanted a nice inexpensive room with a fridge and a microwave, but instead we had bite marks on us when we woke up from bed bugs. The shower curtian had red stains on the bottom, and the door was open and I barely check in. In another words the room was horrible will not recommended anybody to stay. I wish i would have pick motel 6 instead and this hotel was more expensive than motel 6.

The room was nice. The night could have gone better though, the air conditioner ran once and would not cut back on unless I got up out of bed to turn it on again...very annoying. Other than that our stay was enjoyable. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating, even when I locked myself out of the room. My daughter was having dental surgery, so this was the reason for our little getaway. It was nice to have a decent room to go to.

We were in town for a large track meet at the local University. The fear when we arrived was that we would be staying in the hotel with a bunch of College students.. the rooms were quiet, the staff was accomodating and very pleasant, even though they were running ragged to make sure their fully booked hotel ran smoothly. A wonderful, calm experience!!

HIE in San Angelo was very easy to find, comfortable and I enjoyed it thuroughly. I found myself wanting to get back to my room earlier than I had planned, just to go and enjoy the room. I had a top floor room and the wireless interness wasnt as good quality up there as the floor, but they have wired too so all was well. When the beds are that comfortable, it isnt fair that the checkout is noon. I had to fight myself to get out of the bed! Overall, great stay and would return...just to stay there!

Good value. Clean and comfy room. A bit difficult to get to because of the freeway but we had a good stay overall

Mostly a good stay. Breakfast was average. The weird was that the elevator quit working after breakfast. Since there was only a single elevator, had to climb three flights of stairs back to room and then carry our luggage back down the same three flights of stairs. Hotel offered no help at all. They all wanted to watch the fire and rescue guys try to get the folks out of the elevator. When we got outside, the fire and rescue vehicles (about 6 or 7 of them) were blocking our car.

Only for the very budget conscious

This property is undergoing renovations and would only be suitable for those on a very stringent budget. Everything in the rooms was well worn. The beds were not very comfortable and the pillows were very flat. THe mini fridge in the room could only be turned on by plugging it in and the temperature could not be adjusted with the result that all liquids froze. There was no facial tissue at all in the rooms and, when I inquired about it, I was told that it was not provided as there was toilet paper that could be used. While the location was very convenient to Angelo State University (we were in town for my niece's graduation), I would not stay in this motel again.

The overall experience was great! I would recommend this to a friend and also if in San Angelo again would stay there.

It was a descent and clean hotel. Rooms were large and well equipped. Breakfast was not very good though. I would recommend this hotel but would recommend you eat your breakfast somewhere else.

Efficient staff, ice machines nearby, clean rooms and in good repair. Waffle iron did not work and bananas past prime condition.
