Overall, the hotel was great for the value. The breakfast left a little to be desired....no juice and the only fruit was a couple of apples. The coffee was great! We would stay there again.

I was very pleasantly surprised...the room was spacious and very clean. I was traveling with my 18 year old daughter and one of her friends. I commented to the staff at breakfast how nice the room was and thanked them.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel, very helpful staff and great breakfast bar. AC was a little nosiey, and young room neighbors also a little noisey. Otherwise we had a good stay..

Not bad for the price. The staff were very friendly and cant complain there. The breakfast was nothing spectacular but got the morning going. The pool and the grounds were clean. Went during a busy weekend and it was quiet at night. The rooms were eh but got cold.

We went to take a shower. The shower curtain was filthy. We called the front desk and they replaced it with a new shower curtain within five minutes. We had a hole in the ceiling above our bed. We saw four spiders in our room. The TV guide said we had HBO, but we were never able to get it. I did use the laundry and appreciated it being in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and we had plenty of pillows.

Staff did not know how to connect to WIFI with IPhone or IPad, but we figured it out. Room was very clean especially the bathroom. Carpet a bit worn and dresser had bad water damage. The beds were comfortable, very little noise other than semi's driving by at night. Free breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Basically, cereal, toast, apples/oranges, coffee So overall, If your looking for a clean place at a reasonable price without too many frills this place is fine.

The night clerk was great and my room was nicer than I expected for the money. They have a very nice small exercise facility. Parking was a little tight if you are coming in late.

Historic downtown New Braunfels, The Market Place, Exotic Animal Park, and Guadalupe River State Park are all within 5 minutes, while Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, Verizon Amphitheater, Canyon Lake, Historic Grune, and Texas Ski Ranch are both less than 10 minutes away. Red Roof New Braunfels is also just 15 minutes from Prime Outlets/Tanger Outlet Center. Were also just 1/2 hour away from Natural Bridge Caverns, Central Texas Medical Center, Texas Lutheran University, San Marcos, TX, and Wildlife Ranch, as well as San Antonio Airport.

The front desk worker was very nice and friendly. Went down to float the Comal river. Did not need or expect much in that I was only there to sleep. I was frustrated in that my email conformation said check out was noon but I was awakened by the front desk at 11AM telling me check out was 11AM.

The front desk was friendly; however, when entering the room, we found that it smelled of urine. We were majorly disappointed in the breakfast the next morning. There was only cold cereal, muffins and danishes. We were expecting fresh fruit and at least one hot item.

Good location just off the interstate, and close to either Gruene or the center of New Braunfels. This is a newer, modern, and very clean hotel. Priced right for business travel and comfort, wireless worked well for me and the breakfast was very good with fresh sausage and scrambled eggs as well as the usual fare of yogurt, muffins, waffles, etc. The room and bed were very comfortable, but as others have mentioned, the walls are a bit thin and conversations outside my room door sounded like they were inside the room (I was by the elevators), but as the hotel was not terribly busy this was not a problem. Noise could be an issue if you are a light sleeper during the vacation season with families and children. And oh yes, 40% of the exercise equipment was still broken in the workout room.

Good location. Close to Gruene and easy access from IH 35. The cab fare from the hotel to Gruene was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Only drawback was the view from our room..a junkyard. But that's okay, we were not in our room that much anyway.

Considering the price of other hotels in the immediate are, this was a good deal. It is close to many restaurants and just a few blocks from I-35 and Hwy 46. If your in New Braunfels for a couple of days of tubing, Wurstfest or the likes, this would be a good place to stay. I was not able to get into my room early because of 100% occupancy the night before, but the staff were friendly and helpful in trying to speed up getting my room ready.

The location is pure "get away" in your own back yard. The river curves right out side and the fire place not fire pit is welcoming on the cool night. The outdoor chairs are comfortable but the view is what will bring us back.

Description
Splash into family fun at The Resort at Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas. Summertime Accommodations include full access to the number one waterpark in the world, including one hour extended ride time at Blastenhoff for resort guests before the park opens. Certain restrictions including park dates and schedules apply. Schlitterbahn Waterpark is open the following dates for the 2012 season- Weekends only 04/28-05/13, Open Daily May 16th-August 26th, Weekends only 08/25-09/16. Wintertime Accommodations include three outdoor heated resort pools and a hot tub. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, WiFi, clock radio, coffee/tea maker, complimentary Neutrogena toiletries, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, a microwave, refrigerator, and a TV with over 60 channels. Minimum age required at check-in is 21. Check-in is at 4 pm. However, you are welcome to play in the waterpark as early as the park opens for the day. Guest must present photo ID at time of check-in. Guest is also required to provide their vehicle make model and license plate number. Check-out is at 12 pm. During the summertime the office is open 24 hours a day. During winter time operations security is available after 6pm to check guests in. New Braunfels is centrally located between San Antonio and Austin and has many attractions for the entire family, including Historic Downtown, Gristmill Restaurant, Gruene Hall, Landa Park and Golf Course, and a variety of unique dining experiences.

The condo we had was great - 3 bedrooms lots of room - beautiful , comfortable. Loved the closeness to Gruene, Tx. Can't wait to come back and bring my family.

This resort is home away from home. I went with my 3 sons and this was the most relaxing vacation yet. All I had to do is get our clothes out and food in the nice kitchen. and relax. We always take our camper but this is the way to go for now on. After a long day on the river there was nothing better than to come back to a clean relaxing place and peaceful. The pool, weight room and location was great. I will come back and this was well worth the money.

I loved the town but the hotel was not good. Our electricity was out for about 30 minutes and our toilet overflowed and we were told by the worker at the front desk to come get the plunger and fix it ourselves. I would not stay here again, very unprofessional and unclean hotel.

I found out that I could have saved more money had I just gone to the Hotel and just booked it. I have been promised cash back, credit, special saveings ect. from Cheap ticket since Ive been using it and havent received one dime?? I have spent thousands of dollars with [...] with the promise of discounts, bonuses ect and have never received anything. I am very dissapointed with your promises. I will look at other ticket buying websites from now on.....

we had went to celebrate my husband's birthday WAS the reason for going out of town. it was last second and had seen it on orbitz. it had friendly staff, very clean room,peaceful and the pool was indoors which was cool! it was close to the restaurants,schlitterbahn and to grocery stores.

The hotel was nice, simple. The people were really nice. There was a coffee maker and an iron and hair dryer. They also had breakfast nothing huge but it was good enough for us. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Came to New Braunfels for a little mini summer getaway for our 3 children. We loved that the hotel was less than 10 min away from Schlitterbaun. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Very nice rooms, front desk very freindly. Our room was ready when we arrived and we were able to check in over an hour early. Only complaints were that the indoor pool was VERY small and the breakfast could be a little more organized and replenished more often. All in all very satisfied with our stay. Will stay again.

This hotel was in a great location with some good shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The staff and personnel at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Well the staff was very nice and the room was very clean, however, the room had several stains in it. The carpet had stains, and the fridge and microwave had yellow highlighter all over it. So, basically the place was cleaned but the stains were not removed... They seemed pretty permanent and the appliances, facilities, comforters, and sheets were all very outdated. Our bed spread was a very cheesy colorful blanket with dogs, cats, and little motel 6's all over it. It was worth a laugh and was definitely not comfortable. It felt like sleeping on an old kids sleeping bag. It was that weird shiny hard material and was very stiff. Next time I would just spend a few more dollars and stay at nicer place.

Went to New Braunfels for tubing, only stayed at Motel 6 one night and that was enough. The motel is very small, the parking lot has many deep holes. The carpet and tile finish out in the rooms coming unraveled. Children running up and down the hallway at night. Door didn't close well. Needs repair work

My Husband and I booked one night and after arriving before even seeing our room, booked a second night. Beautiful landscape, perfect quiet location, amazing wildlife venturing around the property, very wholesome feeling, comfortable beds & sheets. Recommend for a couples get away or for a family. Will definitely be going back!!! Wish check out was later in the day though.

What a great place to stay, I can't say enough about the FRIENDLY staff. Realized that they host christian sports camps here, but they are in a different section of the resort. Enjoyed the pool, and the REALLY GOOD food & drinks at the grill. Outdoor movie was fun w/ free popcorn. Room was not fancy but clean w/ sm fridge & coffee pot.
