Best Western Las Palmas is a clean hotel and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately the first room we were placed in the restroom was covered with tiny ants. We were moved to the second floor to a much nicer room, but the air conditioning in that room didn't work very well. We were move a third time (which was a charm) this room worked very well. Like I said the staff did everything to accommadate us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. I chose this hotel because it was close to my parents house and easy to access from the expressway. The swimming pool has a canopy over it to give some protection from the sun -- This is a PLUS!!

It was hard to find, was not in my garmin so being from out of state it was confusing. I was there for an interview and it was good to relax. I was able to work on final touches in their business center. The computer did freeze up a lot so I had to go to my room and work on my laptop and save to flash. I needed something printed in color and the business center only printed in black and white. When I asked if I can print something in color for my interview they told me they couldn't do it. I also offered to pay per page if they can. Previous trips the staff was more willing to help me out for an interview so I can shine.

Upon arriving we were greated by front desk. room was not prepaired with soap shampoo hand towels and bath matts. Told front desk about the issue and assured me they had done and inspection prior to me checkin in by far they took care of the issue and said they would change us rooms. we said no and kept the room the next day they had a 3rd floor housekeeper clean the room and fix it the way it should be ... A+ im sure it was a minor mistake that was fixed... the pool was a a bit dirty but as hot as it was it kept cool... 2 nite stay -1 in +10 rating +7

Check-in was fairly quick. The machine for the key cards was a problem for the desk clerk. One card keyed and he had a second key card waiting when we came back through the lobby. the A/C unit was a little loud for the others in the room, but I like a little constant white noise. The only other problem was the gum someone left in the upper corner of the shower. We left a not for house keeping(hope someone can read English, we can not write Spanish).

the only thing that was missing was a balcony, being that im a smoker and wasnt placed in a smoking room, i did not like having to go to the first floor for a smoke.

I think that most people would really enjoy the hotel with roomy, two room Southwestern suites. The rooms were clean with a shabby chic decor. Full breakfasts were provided with an assortment of eggs, breakfast meats, etc. For me, however, while the hotel was less than a mile from my business meetings, I would have liked to stay in a less industrial area. The small buildings, with outside entrance made me feel insecure. As a woman, traveling alone, I would have liked to be closer to the main areas (office, lobby, pool) and felt that I was in a too remote area. I was given directions to a fitness center that was not in the building circled on the map. A little too inconvenient for a short, two night stay but might be good for someone traveling for an extended period.
