It is not far from the airport. a place with a good restraunt near the hotel. the service is good, and 24-hours shuttle. a cheap place to stay. So it is good to stay for one or two days

Quick trip to Dallas

This facility provided most of what I required for my quick trip to Dallas as a motel/hotel for the price. The in-house computer was really out of date and very slow responding as I tried to use it when I had a laptop glitch. There were not a lot of choices for dining nearby, however, and the continental breakfast was lacking in choices. Since I got in rather late, I couldn't really determine other features, so the relevant detail of relaxing, sleeping, and having a clean, functional space for the evening were met.

I was looking for a night's stay near the airport, and the Dallas DFW Ramada filled the bill. The bed was nice, the room comfortable, and everything worked. The staff was helpful when I printed out my airline boarding pass... there was a problem with the primary printer. I would stay there again.

Shuttle service to DFW was helpful. Even with advance registration, we were not in the system when checking in. Desk clerk had to check with manager, creating a bit of anxiety whether we would have a room. Thermostats in rooms did not work, and it was cold. Breakfast was OK.

The hotel was decorated for the holidays and very festive. The bar was fun and the staff was very nice. The only think was the airplanes fly right over the hotel but you really couldn't hear them but they seemed very close.

Hotel staff very professional and friendly. Rooms very nice. One person in our group is a quadriplegic and the handicap room was great, roll in shower....and room to maneuver an electric wheelchair in the room and hallways. You are directly under the flight path to the DFW airport but I did not hear one single airplane and I was on the 14th floor.

We did not spend a lot of time at the hotel - it was simply a place to crash overnight waiting for a flight. But we were impressed with...

Its someplace you could easily stay a week and be comfortable.
The things that could use improvement:
we had no hot water
the TV was an old 27" box - its 2011 - go buy some flat screens.

Called the hotel from the airport and within 10 minutes, they sent a shuttle to pick me up. The room was spacious and had a mini refrigerator and everything worked great.
Courteous staff and great breakfast choices.
One thing that could be helpful in the room that I missed was a towel rack to hang towels

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. The hotel has a shuttle bus that will take you to and pick you up from the DFW Airport. For $5 a day you can also leave your car at the hotel.

This was the our first trip to Dallas, so we made a long weekend of it. We arrived shortly after check in time and found that the room that we reserved was too small for the number of individuals in our party. Upon request, the hotel staff quickly upgraded our reservation to a suite and we the found the room quite spacious and the service was great. Coming on a Thursday, we expected the normal activities to take place,(example: outside repairs on the roof), however, we did not expect it on a Saturday or Sunday morning. We did eat in the restaurant but found while the food was good, it was too expensive to eat there every meal. A package of bagels (5 in a package) which costs less than $3 in a grocery, cost $6.95 for one. However,there were other restaurants or food places available. I would certainly choose this hotel again, but not for it's restaurant.

Since they refurbished the Dallas Omni a few years ago, this has been a very enjoyable hotel for me to stay when I'm in Dallas. Our contractor's contractors office just a block away which makes getting form this hotel very convenient. The staff is always courteous and attentive and strives to meet your every need. Entering the lobby you're greeted by a lobby area that always has nice arrangements of fragrant cut flowers. For a 20+ year old hotel with a recent facelift to both the common public areas and the rooms, it's made for a very pleasant stay. The lower rate vs other local hotels is also a deciding factor in staying at Omni Mandalay. With it being just a block further away than the local Marriott, it’s not a problem with getting to the office if I choose to walk there vs driving. Only complaint, I wish they had an indoor pool and hot tub! They keep both open year round, but that mad dash from the hot tub to the exercise room can be a bit chilly on some winter days!

Very unique hotel. It has a very modern feel and it's eco-friendly. The bed was very comfortable with down pillows and comforter. The shower was a refreshing experience, as well. The only complaint I have is that the room is not sound proof, but this will not keep me from staying there again. Location is also great.

The room was very clean. Lots of pillows, extra towels. Very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good. But, the free breakfast was the best! Not just a continental breakfast...lots of variety. Eggs, waffles, oatmeal, different coffees, tea. It was excellent! We were very pleased with our two day stay, and would definately stay there again!!!

I needed a hotel close to the airport since I had an early morning flight. This hotel fit my condition very nicely. It is very convenient, and the hotel staff were very friendly. The room was clean and nice. The air conditioner seemed to have some smell, but it was ok after I opened the door for a few minutes. For $50/per night, this is a great deal. I would be willing to stay here again.

Very large, well equipped rooms. Could sleep 6 easily. Not in walking distance to ANYTHING, but basic breakfast was provided, as well as small kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge. Overall, very nice hotel. Room was clean, staff was helpful. Would recommend to anyone staying near Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport.

My trip was already going badly when I arrived at the hotel and found out I had made reservations for the next weekend. The man up front was very patient as I called [...]and asked them to please cancel the reservation and book another for that weekend. I visited hurricane harbor and the young man up front kindly suggested some very helpful financial tips. The breakfast was better than I thought it would be in fact it was great and the woman working there was very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean as were the bathrooms it was very quiet which I liked. This hotel is pretty small though which was the only thing I didn't like they also did not have snack machines. I would definitely stay here again.

LOOK, IF YOU are looking for a clean affordable safe place with clean rooms, this is the place. Run by a great family, they do a great job in trying to maintain this place. Sure it has some issues but cleanliness, safety and location is not the issue. You get what you pay for here. I'd rather spend my money having fun. It's a smaller hotel so not so much coming and going. Best to you.

Hotel is right off the highway and seconds away from the Irving Mall and local bowling alley. Plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel itself was okay. Staff was not friendly at all and really didn't like being asked for anything. The room was pretty clean. Pull out sofa bed was horrible! We were afraid it was going to fall apart. Overall, it was decent for the price and a short stay.

Location was very good, facilities were modern and very clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Irving/Dallas area. Nice.

The TV had horrible reception but we didnt spend too much time in the room so it wasnt a deal breaker.

Hotel was in a good location, right off the main thoroughfare. Helpful staff, and no complaints with the room. Hotel could use a larger parking lot.

"A night NOT to remember"

I was there for PPL related meetings. I could not find a cart @ the time of check out. This entire trip sucked (I felt very unconftable with the night manager, I even went back home to sleep instead of sleeping in the room that I had paid for) please try to avoid booking at this location, specially if you'll be there during 2:00 am and 7:00 am.

A nice place for the money. The hotel is old but well kept. One night I got a room that smelled of cigarette smoke, but they gave me a different room no problem. Make sure you have change for the soda machine. A great place for families on a tight budget. Wish I could have found a place like this when I was taking grand kids on trips during the summer. I don't know about dinning options but had to check something.
