The staff was excellent and non-intrusive. The room was clean, but mine did have a mild-moderate aroma of cigarettes.
Overall the experience was great though and I'd stay here again as long as they're priced significantly lower than the Hilton next door. The room included free Wi-Fi and a good flat screen TV. The thermostat control for the air conditioning was perfect, and very fine changes could be made if desired. The king size bed was comfortable and clean.

4-5 Star Frequenter. This Omni is packed with tons of neat things to entertain adults and kids alike, from the coi ponds (did NOT smell fishy) to the Bar. There is free parking and by the freeway near many things, but most likely there will be a toll charge along the way. I felt very safe with security/police around 24-7. They say there's bottled water in the room, but bring your own! They charge $6 a bottle. I'm picky so this just may be me, but they could have kept the place up a little better (vacuuming halls, general cleanliness). Its an older establishment but still nice. Staff was more than pleasent and helpful. They even allowed me to bring my Pocket Parrot with no hassle. That was surprising! I would definately stay here again and can't wait to bring my kids. Cool place, worth the price$.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub are a little on the small side. it is best to rent a car if you plan on staying for an extended period of time. There is a complimentary shuttle service to take you into the downtown area.

We attended Strait concert at Reliant Sat. pm and them shopped at Katy Mills on Sun. Had some great food at two locations. Great location for our events planned and great price. Room very clean and met our needs.

The front desk staff when I checked in was very nice. She also called to my room to check if everything is ok. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok, nothing's fancy -- cereal, muffins, waffles, boiled eggs.
I went to the Downtown in the morning on Friday, it took me longer than I expected because of the traffic on highway.
Not too far from Chinatown. Very Yummy foods here.

Overall great experience. Location was outstanding with access from Katy Freeway and from back road on Grisby. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was great and extensive with cereals, muffins, toast, bagels, juices, milk, coffee, tea and waffles. Only issue was that they missed cleaning our room one day for some reason. By the time we returned and discovered the problem, the cleaning staff had left, but one of the other staff brought clean towels, picked up the trash, and got us more shower supplies.

Very nice and clean from the front desk to the breakfast area to the rooms. The room was large enough and comfortable, would have liked a sofa in the room while watching TV. Very accessible to the conference center where I was meeting. I would recommend it to my colleagues and friends on a place to stay while in that part of Houston.

Staff was good, friendly and courteous. However there was activity all through the night. I went to my car a couple of times and there were groups of people in the dark areas outside who made suggestive solicitive advances. Suspected both male and female prostitution, especially on ground floor rooms with access from the outside.

Didn't have high expectations since i did get the hotel for $35 a night. But there were general things going on that just weren't acceptable even for that price.
1. First of all the lobby smelled STRONGLY of smoke and not just cigarette smoke. I even took advantage of the restroom in the lobby that was complete with no toilet paper, papertowels, soap, or even a working toilet for that matter. The toilet had multiple toilet paper rolls shoved in it.
2. I check in and receive my room key which didn't work throughout my entire stay. Every time I needed in my room I had to have security open the door for me. This was really the biggest incovenience. They acted as if there were no other options. No new key but they did suggest a new room but they were conveniently booked up.
3. I get into the room and one bed isn't made, eww, Theres a dirty towel in the bathtub, yuck, and theres no remote to the tv but security did bring us another.
Like I said didn't expect much going in. I wanted 2 beds, a tv, and I was crossing my fingers for hot water. I got all of the above but it did come with some catches. Glad it was only $35. Definately got less than my moneys worth

The room setup was excellent. I enjoyed the home feel to it. The kitchenette was a good.
However, I found one bug which almost ruined my stay but was able to get over it later. The hotel seem be undergoing renovation. Some loose ends needs to be tidied up. Pay attention to details. Pay close attention to towels and face cloths.
In all it was a pleasant stay with the free wifi ( a big plus), real breakfast and newspaper.
I enjoyed my stay.

My short 2 night stay at the Westin in Houston was pleasant and comfortable. The hotel had been recommended by a co-worker who travels to Houston often and I am glad I listened. The hotel is new so it is very clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming without being cheesy. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet (you do not hear any noise from the neighboring room). The hotel is located in a nice part of Houston with plenty of restaurants just a short drive away. There is also a cafe in the hotel on the third floor which serves Starbucks coffee and breakfast, which is great as you run out the door for work.
The only negative experience I had at the hotel was at their restaurant, where the food was rather disappointing especially at that price point.

When I checked in, the clerk was talking on her personal phone and made me wait for her to finish before waiting on me. When she finally checked me in, she had no idea how to work the system and had trouble checking me in. She had to call the computer tech on the phone for assistance. When we finally got the key to the room, the bathroom toilet would not flush and we had to request to be moved to another room. She moved us to a room on the next floor. The hallway had a really bad smell. We had trouble getting the key to fit into the door. When we were finally able to get into the room, everything else was ok. Except the kitchen counter had a dirty stain on it that would not come off.

The hotel was very clean, rooms were quiet and comfortable. It is too far from the airport however so an early flight out becomes an issue.

The location of this hotel was good, but the quality wasnt that great. The pillows weren't that comfortable and we found a cockroach our first night. The cable for the tv was messed up for a good 3-4 hours or so and we couldn't watch tv.

The price was reasonable but the room had a lot to be desired. The water pipes popped and knocked all night (had to wear earplugs just to sleep), the springs in the bed poked through, and maid service was always forgetting to replace something. They also only had one ice machine for the whole motel (both floors), and sometimes it did not work when you finally found it.

This was our first stay at any Drury Inn and we were thoroughly satisfied with the service and accomodations. We will definitely look for Drury Inns and Suites when traveling other locations.

Wonderful staff, obviously it's the low price choice and that's just to be expected. A little out-of-the-way to reach as there is no entrance off Katy Dr., but not a problem. Some hotels have the pillow beds this hotel had comfortable beds but not pillow beds.

It is what it is. It is a budget hotel that is well positioned to service the Energy Corridor. Close to I10 and close to plenty of fast food outlets to satisify every taste.

For business travel, this was a nice hotel. We were a big group and the hotel staff was very accommodating in our schedules, shuttling us to our conference, taking us to the airport, etc. The staff a the front desk was also very accommodating.

When no hotels in the area had vacancies, this one was okay. We only stayed one night, but staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean.
The door opens to the parking lot, so security is an issue. Also, we had to place the coffee table against the window to keep the curtain from deflecting the a/c output. We had to put the controls quite low in order for the cold air to reach the bed on the opposite side of the room and around a half wall.

The staff attitude ranged from perfunctory politeness to very polite and helpful and that was probably the best aspect of the hotel. The front desk does close in the late evening, however. The room was sufficiently clean and roomy although the bed and pillows was not particularly comfortable, the worst aspect of the stay, although hardly terrible. The kitchenette was very nice to have. The hotel was eerily quiet - I only saw a couple other guests in the lobby area during a couple days stay and none on my floor. The building shows a little age, but is in fine shape - the hallways were a little on the dim side - I would have preferred them to be a bit brighter. The hotel is not in a particularly great area of Houston, but you're not going to find anything in the Katy Freeway area that is. That said, I thought the security precautions for the hotel were better than many in the area. Overall, a pretty serviceable location, better than many in the area, although it's just really a place to hang your hat for a few days.

good long term stay hotel with kitchenette

staff was friendly and helpful - I arrived before checkin time but they put me in a room immediately- the few problems I had (internet glitch) were solved quickly and cheerfully - room had large table with two good working chairs. sofa, recliner! and queen size bed. Lighting could have been a little brighter.
Note that as extended stay hotel it does not provide shampoo, etc. but did have soap. kitchenette had stove with oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster,coffee maker and microwave- frying pan w cover and sauce pan w cover. several plates, cups and modest amount of flatware.
I had few questions as I know the area, but the few I had were answered helpfully. Hotel located off Sam Houston Tollway service road- easy access from the service road or from another parallel road- many stores and restaurants nearby on Westheimer road.
I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Decent queen size bed, large room and kitchen did not make up for the smell and roaches. There's a small dog area right next to this facility so right when you walk out your room you can smell dog poop. We got a non-smoking room but it still smelled. We only chose this motel because it had a kitchen but we ended up not using it and we're unhappy about the roach issue. Would not stay here again.

it was ok but there was roaches in two rooms that they moved us to...then the third one the burners didnt work and then there was a crickte that lived in our ac and wouldnt shut up at night.
