Great location, good beds, weird staff

The room was clean, though the carpet was severely stained.
One of the ladies at the front desk was very odd and very rude. She told my beautiful, 69 year old mother, "Your clothes are so cute, you'd never know you are 80 years old." She didn't seem to be kidding, just very weird. The same front lady gave me horrendous directions that I fortunately knew enough not to follow.
Overall, I'd stay here again.

The staff is top notch, I've stayed at very expensive hotels in D.C. and New York, and this hotel's staff is beyond compare. Stay here, but just know if its game day, you may want to be involved as well. We drowned out most of noise with the A/C.

Nice room--However, had problems with the air in first room.Clerk would not give me a receipt showing I checked out of the room or balance paid. She said they did not give receipts when the room is booked online. However, this is my second time I staying in this hotel and I received a receipt the first time. (very low ceiling in hall--I'm 5'4)

The best hotel that $55/night can buy!
Our nonsmoking rooms had strong smoke odor, but the front desk staff was very quick to spray deodorizer, which helped a lot. Had we checked-in earlier, we could have traded for other rooms.
Rooms were very clean otherwise. Lobby and parking lot were well-maintained.
It's not a fancy place, but you get a comfortable bed, a hot shower, and still have all car windows and tires intact in the morning. I'd stay here again.

Description
From here, visit the Dallas Zoo, the Dallas Arboretum, and all downtown Dallas venues, such as the JFK Memorial Plaza and 6th Floor Museum. White Rock Lake is just a short drive for boating, fishing, and fun in the Texas sun! There is plenty of lounge seating on the sundeck around the sparkling year-round Pool at the La Quinta Inn Dallas East, and a shaded gazebo for relaxing. Our friendly staff serves up a Texas-sized Free Bright Side BreakfastTM in the lobby every morning (restaurant also adjacent to hotel). Rooms are comfortable and clean, and feature such amenities as free high-speed Internet access, a coffee maker, hairdryer, and more. Located on I-30 East at Jim Miller Road (exit 52A). Stay here when in town for events at the Dallas Market Center, World Trade Center, and the Info Mart.

Great for the Price

My friend and I needed a cheap hotel close to a major freeway so that we could get around Dallas pretty easily. The staff were nice and worked with us at booking and check out. We arrived later than oriniginally planned and they didn't give us any grief. We were also allowed to extend our check out time by two hours at no extra cost so we were able to sleep in later. The rooms were clean and well stocked. We plan to stay here again when we come back to Dallas in August,
