At the reception, thats where our anticipation for a good stay started. The receptionist (one Mr Ken) is just perfect type who made us feel well received and attended. Hwe thorougly explain all the offers, some of which i never thought existed. The room view was nice and the hotel staff are always happy to assist. My wife enjoyed it even better and that makes me feel good. We want to come back for yet another stay to attend our son's graduation from UTA in the near future.

When we pulled up to the hotel the staff was great in assisting us. They were beyond polite and helpful. The hotel itself was fantastic and looked like something out of a movie. The room we had was a wonderful sixe very comfortable and had a great view. I would recommend this hotel to any and everyone I know if they are ever in the area.

The hotel decor was modern and pleasing. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We had a great view of downtown Dallas. That being said, the hotel is not in downtown which could be a downside but it's only a 5 minute drive. There is a rooftop pool and jacuzzi which is always nice but that area could use some aesthetic attention that is demonstrated in the rest of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this hotel instead of my conference hotel, for ~ $40 cheaper/night. Great location; right on Elm St, which is one of the major streets and has lotsa of restaurants and shopping. Did not have a car, but they had a shuttle with door-to-door service (I went dancing, and although the venue was just outside their radius of service (~ 2 miles), they took me anyway). Clean, comfy room. They got me one with a refrigerator (yay!). Lotsa plump pillows. Concierge was helpful. I felt very safe walking to/from my conference ~ 8 blocks away, even in dusk and dawn. Great value for the price!

Overall my experience was good except that the shuttle ride was not provided as promised by the staff. I had to wait for a long time and finally ended up hiring a cab from my site of conference back to the hotel. The same thing happened the next day also. I wish the staff are more dependable and compliant to their responsibilities .

I booked a room at this hotel for the 2012 Guitar Show hosted at Market Hall. The hotel is located within walking distance directly behind Market Hall. The location was ideally located for the show, we only had to walk across the street (Harry Hines Blvd.) to get to Market Hall. Check-In time is listed as 3:00PM but we arrived early and were able to check-in at 12 noon without any issues whatsoever. Check-out time is at 12-noon - which is much better than most hotels that have a check-out time of 11AM. That extra hour makes all the difference. Breakfast was served till 10AM and we were able to eat breakfast without feeling rushed to get checked out early. Like I said, 12-noon check-out time is ideal. The room itself was extremely nice for the price, a king-size bed, AC that kept the room very cold as we desired. Bathroom was extremely clean and with plenty of thick bath towels. The bath towels were of very nice quality and not the cheap, thin bath towels you might find in some other hotels. Overall I was so impressed that I said if I'm coming to Dallas and need to stay close to downtown, then this is the hotel I will choose. The price is about right if you book online in advance.

We went to a concert at the palladium ballroom and had a fantastic stay at the Adolphus! Didn't know what to expect. We were swept away from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The staff was excellent, and the hotel is full of history. We will definitely stay there in Dallas again!

My wife and I decided to go to the LSU game in Dallas and made these reservations only a couple of months ahead of time. We got a GREAT deal and stayed in style in the heart of downtown Dallas. With awesome sports bar in lobby and decent restaurant as well. The only thing that I would change is the staff at kitchen table restaurant. The were extremely rude and had no problem ignoring your existence. Overall i'd stay here again.

It's a historic hotel, so don't expect sleek, modern, or the utmost in up-to-date amenities. Everything is extremely well maintained, however; never saw anything that wasn't in perfect shape.
You won't find a hotel any more convenient to the heart of Dallas's gay neighborhood, and it's extremely close to Uptown (with trendier restaurants than Oak Lawn offers.)

The Big D trip
- Apr 2, 2012
Good business stay and nice amenities
This was a comfortable, well laid out hotel. I had a wonderful view of downtown Dallas skyscrapers from my hotel room. The Reunion Tower, adjacent, features the excellent Wolfgang Puck 560 restaurant and spectacular views above the rotating tower.
I ate in all three restaurants; service and food were excellent. All hotel staff were responsive. My king pillow top bed was divine; felt like sleeping on a cloud!! The only drawback is it is right adjacent to all the train tracks at Unionn Station, so there is a lot of train noise at night. Also the small outdoor pool, while in a private setting, is practically on a huge interchange of super highways, so the air is not too pure there if you want to relax poolside. The work out facility is very adequate. A bit isolated in terms of shops and other restaurants, but I guess the DART system can be easily utilized to get to busier shopping areas. Altogether a quality experience.

We checked in Friday later afternoon and received excellent service. Our room was on the top floor and it was awesome. The beds are very comfortable and couldn't ask for a better nights sleep.
We asked about a place for dinner and reservations and car was ordered for us. They called and gave us the confirmation, however when we went out to where we were to picked up we were told our name was not on the list. We waited about 20 minutes while they scrambled to find us another ride. It seemed to go downhill from there. I would think that an upscale Hotel such as the W would provide at least complmentary coffee in the morning. Every time I turned around we were being charged for something extra.
The spa was wonderful, a must visit.
The pool area gorgeous, just wish they didn't close it at dusk it would be a perfect place to go and have a glass of wine away from the bar scene.
We will probably find a different hotel next year when we make our yearly trip to Texas.

It worked out great for us because we were going to a Dallas Stars game. It's also good to get a room so you can have access to GhostBar on a Saturday night. It's not cheap, but the location for a sporting event is good and the staff in GhostBar are great.
We had a great time and I can recommend it!

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. The room lay-out was unusual - two beds at opposite ends of the room which meant that watching TV was a challenge if both people were interested in the news, sports highlights or whatever. The fitness facility was OK but nothing special. Ours beds were comfortable and the room was clean and neat. The shower had good pressure which we appreciaed. There was no bathtub in our room. This was OK for us but might be a problem if you have little kids with you. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby and its a walkable distance to museums, the aquarium and American Airlines Arena for NHL and NBA games. There isn't much shopping in the downtown area. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in response to any of our requests or questions.

I have stayed at this Marriott three times now (twice for business and once after a wedding), and I have always been pleased with my stay. Currently under renovation, but it does not interfere with your stay. The only reason I noticed was because I had stayed there before the changes started -- otherwise, you'd never notice there were renovations going on behind the scenes.

the room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had enough variety for even the pickiest eater.
My only complaint is that our last day there my digital camera was missing from the room, I alerted the front desk and they said they would contact the morning housekeeping staff when they come in.
A word of advice never forget any of your valuables in any hotel room- always make sure your not in a hurry so you won't leave anything behind .

Drove in from San Antonio, Texas to go to the Bon Jovi concert at American Airlines Center on 4/10/2010 and it was great. Hotel was close to the Center & they were helpful with directions & even took the time to help me work on my laptop to enjoy the free WI-FI internet.

The ladies and gentlemen who work at the Ritz have the most insightful attitude. They are all there to make your visit the best ever. The spa was beautiful, tranquil and so relaxing. Staying on the club level is fantastic .. great drinks and wonderful snacks .The business model at the Ritz is all about catering to the guests. The rooms are are perfectly clean and if you find fault it will be quickly addressed. Honestly what else could anyone ask for? It was the best day of my life.

I was in Dallas for a trade show over the summer and decided to stay at the Belmont. The only unfortunate aspect about this hotel was the location- it's in a somewhat shady area but the hotel itself is nice and very unique. The staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and kind during my entire stay- especially the shuttle/valet staff. So perfect. Would recommend but don't expect to walk anywhere to go shopping- you'll need a lift to a better area.

The first night at the hotel we were beside a rather rambunxious party. My husband spoke with the hotel staff and explained we were staying there for our one year wedding anniversary and the noise level was a problem, especially for our romantic getaway. The staff quickly, and of thier own valition, bumped us up to a Junior Suite with a soak tub AND ensured there were no guests booked beside us. The next two nights were incredible! The room really felt like our own little home. The view was fabulous, and the decor was so "us". The staff was very attentive from the front desk clerk who recommended restaraunts and even gave us maps, to the valet attendents who were quick to check on our needs when we arrived. The only complaint was that we had to ask every night for a coffee service to be provided. The last night the coffee pot was left, but no cups, coffee or coffee ammenities were included. We had to go to the front to get coffee that last morning instead of enjoying it in our room. The kinks were easily overlooked because of the overall experience and treatment. The hotel really does make you feel like you are in your own little community. We look forward to going back soon!

It was an amazing hotel that i hope i get to try out again. i had such a wonderful time. awesome valet service when you arrive and such a impressive chandelier when you enter the lobby. everything was comfortable and perfect. the staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel special. the bar and resturaunt were amazing as well. the balcony in my room was so awesome i spent a large part of my night looking down onto the colorfully lit pool with dj watching people and hanging on the awesome couch on the patio. the big bathtub was a romantic extra and the king bed was so comfortable we fell right asleep. i would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to be spoiled.
