When we initially arrived, the first room that we had was AWFUL. it smelled like smoke and had the feel of a cheap horrible hotel. I called the front desk to complain and the manager immediately came to the room to evaluate. She apologized and promptly moved us to a different room even though they were supposedly full. The next room was brighter, smelled so much better, and altogether much nicer. We didn't have any other problems with our stay. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel but it was extremely convenient to all the places that we wanted to visit. I would stay there again. The included breakfast was not impressive. The only warm food was biscuit and gravy that was not good at all!

Dropping Daughter off at Vandy
-
packing up to boston
- Aug 22, 2011
We stayed at this hotel in conjunction with dropping our daughter off at Vandy. The location was ideal for us since her dorm was just down the road on West End Ave. The rooms were clean and suitalby sized so that she could sleep on a fold out sofa prior to move in. The staff was helpful and courteous , the room was clean, and breakfasts were suitable for our purposes.
If I had one complaint it would be that the fitness center was small and some of the equipment was out of order.

Quirky, but nice ...

This is a refurbed hotel from something ordinary into a cool, sleek and modern hotel. Over all, I liked it quite a bit. I was there for 3 days, first day on the 15th floor. There was something either in the wall or ceiling that creaked a lot, so I mentioned it the next day and they were happy to give me a different room, this time on the 6th floor. They didn't tell me two floors are "pet-friendly" and apparently no one told the yappy little dog in the room next door which howled for it's owners who were elsewhere. The staff was very attentive and there were nice touches throughout, such as the art work and lobby. Restaurant food was very good.

I wish I'd found Indigo sooner - what a great hotel. I travel a lot for business and this was a pleasure trip to the Ryman, which is just a minute's drive away. A beautiful, modern hotel with big rooms and great staff. A nice bar and cafe. And a Starbucks shop right off the lobby. Who could ask for more.

This hotel was exactly as you would expect, bare bones, with a kitchenette. The room was moderately sized and clean. There were no amenities to speak of, but none were expected. The front desk staff was courteous and professional. The location of the hotel is ideal if you are going to be spending time on Vanderbilt's campus. You can easily walk to campus and the dining/entertainment options that surround the campus. Downtown is a 3 mile drive away, but is accessible by bus and cab. Safety was not an issue.

Great Stay

We stayed at this hotel on our way through Nashville. It was very easy to find and was not far off of the interstate. Check in was a breeze. Staff was very nice. The parking garage left something to be desired and the fee was $15 per night for self parking. The hotel was very nice and clean. We did hear quite a bit of outside noise (police sirens and traffic), but that wouldn't deter us from staying there again. In fact, we are booking this hotel for the midpoint of our return home. We opted to eat at the Ohama restaurant inside the hotel. It was a little bit on the expensive side, but the food was very good. Overall, we had a good experience.

Great location and very clean/comfortable. A little on the pricey side, but maybe it was just the weekend we were in town.

Great city, great hotel!

Traveled to Nashville for a music event, and this was 1 of the few hotels that met my needs for a great cost. The staff was extremely friendly even though we checked in and out late. We didn't get to enjoy the pool, restaurant or workout room but the lounge bar had great service. The location was perfect as there were plenty of restaurants, bars, and other attractions within walking distance.
My only complaint was having to deal with technical support for the wi-fi. After having to deal with outsourced tech support (that you normally deal with home internet connection problems) for 5 minutes I just hung up and used the wi-fi on my computer and I had no problems.
If the staff is not too busy, ask them if you can see the spinning restaurant at the top of the hotel. It's only used for banquets and other occasions now. The view of the city is amazing, and we were told that it looks better at night with all the lights on!

The hotel was clean and is only a few blocks from the entertainment district (live music, bars, restaurants). If you're looking for a nice hotel that's right beside it all, but not in the middle of it, this is a great choice.
We also jumped in our car and drove 5 minutes to the Hillsboro section, by Vanderbilt. Great little brunch and lunch places to eat.

Although being 2 miles from downtown, it was still a decent time. 179 a night for the first 2 nights seems a little steep in retrospect. Service was good and people were friendly and room was clean but nothing was really close to the hotel.

From the outside appearance of the Millennium one would believe the hotel would be grand! What an illusion! The circumference of the room was too small for what was deemed a "club room". Duvet on the comfortable bed was dirty upon first arrival thus I requested another which, I must say, was promptly provided to me. I was saddened by the state of the bathroom which I considered disgusting as a result of the dirty tiles were dirty tiles and unsanitary looking tub. Let's just say that Lysol and Clorox became a quick friend on this trip. I didn't think I came on this trip to do housekeeping but was I fooled! The ladies of housekeeping did not change the linens because I left an item on the bed and it was the hotel's policy not to remove items to replace linens or make the bed. I feel all guests should be notified of this policy upon check-in not once one returns to the room. I do love the city of Nashville and plan to return soon, however, I doubt I will choose the Millennium Maxwell House for future accomodations.
