I'd had a great stay at this motel about a month ago, so I chose it again the next time I was in Johnson City -- and my stay was just as pleasant. Super friendly and helpful desk clerks (evening AND morning), clean, comfortable accommodation, quiet clientele and neighborhood, easy to find.

The motel was being remodeled and my room was very fresh. Room had a desk and furnishings were very tasteful and bed was new. Close to shopping, entertainment and resturaunts. Price was very reasonable and staff very friendly.

The Best Western in Johnson City TN was OK. Our room was reasonably clean, but with thin walls so ever noise both outside and next door were heard. The restaurant within the hotel has an excellant steak and great service. The breakfast bar staff were extremely rude and hurried us through our breakfast. The location of the hotel is great for shopping and their are great restaurants nearby.

Nothing outstanding, but room and facilities were clean and well kept. Refrigerator, MW, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Skimpy continental breakfast but did have make-your-own waffles.

Overall, our stay at the Double Tree Hotel was pleasurable. All the staff were very courteous and friendly. We were greeted with awesome warm cookies at the Front Desk which are given to all guests as you check in (very nice perk!).
Sadly, we had two occasions during our seven night stay where our room was not cleaned at all. The first time it happened I addressed the matter with the Housekeeping supervisor who corrected the matter the following day. Two days later the same incident occurred where our room was not cleaned. Annoyed that this happened twice, I spoke to the General Manager of the Hotel. He was very apologetic of the matter and thus refunded a portion of our stay at the hotel.
Although, this part of our stay was an unpleasant experience, the room itself was pleasant. Our beds were comfortable, the mini refrigerator was great to store some small food items and water.
For travelers seeking to stay at this hotel I would recommend the hotel and the great location, but would caution that your rooms may not be cleaned as you would expect.

Walk to Super Wal-Mart, Office Max, and Golden Corral. Lots of great shopping and additional restaurants located less than 1 mile from the hotel including many national chains. Whirlpool suites available. Complete Suite updates and renovations completed in early 2007. Free hot breakfast and wireless high speed internet access. On site business center with large work area, and desk top computer with latest programs and All Comfort Suites are smoke free. $15 per day fee for pets, limit 2 per room up to 50lbs. each, $100.00 fee for damage caused by pets.

The Comfort Suites Inn was very nice, a little disappointed that the beds seemed crowded but overall the suite was very roomy. The bathroom was very spacious with plenty hot water. The location to restaurants was convient.

The room was nice and spacious . The breakfast was Great and the staff was very nice. I was there for an event at freedom hall & this location was less than 1 mile away. I only was disappointed that the pool had been filled up just that day & we couldn't swim for it being extemely cold. I thought they should have prepared it sooner for the guests coming on the weekend. There were many in town for our event. Most all hotels were full. It was a bit silly.However my 2 year old, mom, and I slept in the most comfortable hotel bed I have been in . YThe matresses were not full of wood and wires.

A family member was having his 80th birthday party in the Robert Taylor Banquet hall at the Carnegie Hotel so what better time to stay which made it so very convient. The hotel was extremly nice and we felt the price was for this establishment was very reasonable.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Would diffently stay in the future when we're in the area.

In and of itself, the hotel is slightly above mediocre. Management was extremely courteous, but they really need to do something to improve their housekeeping capabilities. Housekeeping was deplorable. I will not visit that hotel again.

Family of four spent a night here to break up a long drive. Hotel lobby was musty, room was worn and seemed not too clean. (the kind where you keep your shoes on whenever you walk around) Exterior-entry rooms always make me a little uncomfortable. Only paid about $70; next time would pay the extra 20 or 30 for something a little nicer.

We were traveling due to bringing our son to see ETSU. The location was great for that. Only 10 minutes or less from the college. The staff was great and the complimentary breakfast was good:eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, cereal, waffles, juices, and more. There was a weight room and pool, although we didn't use them. The room was clean, but I did see a couple of ants. I was surprised, because the room really was clean. There was a microwave and a mini fridge, which was good because we had leftover food from eating out. We brought our laptop and there was no problem getting on the internet. The heat and air worked well and the bed was pretty comfortable.

The hotel was very, very new. Everything was in working order and pleasing to the eye. I was the most disappointed that they did not serve breakfast with the room. I guess I misunderstood their information on the site. Other local hotels had a lower rate and provided breakfast. So I will probably stay somewhere else next time I visit my daughter at ETSU.

This was a short stop over to visit some friends before going onto my business part of my trip. Very relaxing and quiet. Not much in the area of restaurants and the such, but I wasn't there for that. Just a short vacation time to relax and it did it's purpose.

Experience at the hotel was short since business takes up your time from morning to nightfall. Room being clean and quiet is all we needed for a good nights sleep.

The motel was fully booked for the weekend, but they did a good job of accomodating my preferences, i.e ground floor room with refrigerator. Clean and neat with friendly staff.

Was a very nice hotel experience. Was very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The hot breakfast was very good. Really liked that. And the hotel was in a very good location for us to go to the Apple Festival in Erwin, TN, just 15 minutes away. And the hotel was close to several good restaurants and wal-mart, among many other stores. Would definately stay there again.

Value Place is an extended-stay hotel. Our rates are priced for a minimum one week stay, and are not adjusted to a daily rate if the stay is less than one week. When your stay goes into the next week, another weekly rate is charged. However, even though many people decide to stay with us for months, many guests staying less than one week find us less expensive than traditional hotels. Room fees and a 100.00 USD refundable deposit are due at time of arrival. The 100.00 USD deposit is charged upon move in even if the room is placed on a credit card hold. Deposit is refunded at move out pending no damages or owed charges. Front desk hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 10AM-2PM and closed Sunday. After hours move-in must call extension 500 and the security guard will be paged to assist guests. Enjoy your stay in a clean, safe, and economical environment. No reservations after 3pm on Sundays.

our deplorable stay

Our trip was great,out stay at this motel,,not so great,we could get no assistance about issues concerning our room,no one was on duty all weekend,office locked up tight,our room smelt real bad,to be honest,it smelt like someone had been sick on the floor,our sheets were not fresh and the one mattress on the bed sat on plyboard,,does that give you any idea,,it WAS NOT WORTH THE 250.00 DOLLARS FOR TWO NIGHTS
