The pool, although heated, is very small and on the second floor!? The rooms are accessable from an outside walkway only. Seems a little pointless to have a pool for winter guests if they will get hypothermia going back to their rooms. The staff was very nice, but the complimentery breakfast was lackluster and the turn-in to the hotel was a test for your vehicles turning radius.....a test we almost lost. If you are looking for a plain jane stay for a night AND you have a compact car it's worth a look! Rooms were very clean. just don't expect a relaxing or romantic getaway.

I stayed here on a trip to interview at the hospital. It was very close and I had a nice big room. It was nice and updated. To be honest it was one of the nicer LaQuintas that I have stayed at.

This La Quinta was a very good place to stay. It was close to I-24, and it was easily accessible. I had a little trouble finding it at night on a late arrival, but the gave me good directions over the phone to guide me to the hotel. The building was clean and bright inside, and seemed to be fairly recently updated. My room was comfortable and serviced me well. One of the amenities that I really enjoyed was the breakfast they prepared. What a spread! I'll stay here again!

I was just driving through Chattanooga from Atlanta and decided last minute to check in to a Hotel for the night and was glad I did. Everything except the price was great. I loved the friendly staff, complementary breakfast and amenities.
The only part i did not like was having to pay $140 for a decent place to spend the night but I dont regret it.

I see this as a great conventioneer's hotel. Our kids loved the pool, breakfast was pretty good, and the staff friendly. Wish that it was more accessible to public transportation. It was too far to walk to the riverfront and the shuttle pickup was on the far side of the convention center. It was good- solid. Not great.

I was extremely impressed with every aspect of my stay relative to the price point (under $100 night). Lots of attention to detail from the dining tray with remote and tv listings to extra pillows and nice wardrobe. Compares favorably to hotels I've stayed in at the $200 night price point. Not a bad neighborhood unless you are a 6 year old staying by yourself. Short drive (5 minutes) to great food and drink. Yes it's an older property, but they've done a nice job here.

My family had a wonderful 4 night stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were wonderful. I asked for a fridge and had one delivered to my room before we even finished unpacking the car and the housekeepers were extremely nice and helpful.

We brought our 3 year old granddaughter to visit the Aquarium and ride the train. She had a great time-- loved the indoor pool. Breakfast was hectic with an entire BB team eating but the staff was great.

we checked in about 4pm-the operations manager was very nice and helpful-he gave us a 10% off card for dinner downtown-the room was clean and good sized for us. It was comfortable and quiet-we had a nice buffet breakfast-the pancake maker was a BIG hit with my 12 year old son. We left at 9am to go downtown-I left my 3 laptops in the safe deposit box and was not given a key even though I questioned the clerk about this and sorta wondered about the safety of my items-later I found out I should have been given a key. We returned to the hotel about 13 hours later 11pm-picked up my laptops, came back to a clean room-no problems-had a 2nd buffet breakfast-it was good again-overall this was a great deal for a family weekend getaway-109.00 a night. We had to pay 3.00 for parking which was cheaper then a lot of other hotels I looked at-I would stay here again-it is less then a mile to downtown.

Very Busy Weekend

Our room was very nice and the location is great, just a few blocks from the river front and Tennessee Aquarium. We were in town for the girl's state soccer tournament. There was also a high school and college rowing/crewing competition on the river front so the hotel was completely full. The staff was very nice and our stay was quite comfortable.

we had a wonderful time at the read hotel. The staff was very helpful. The room was very clean and the service couldn't have been better. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. We were next to the free bus route that took us down to the aquarium and Imax. We were able to walk around, get something to eat, and still be within all the places we wanted to visit. The only thing at the hotel was we wanted to sleep in but couldn't because the maids cleaning the other rooms kept slamming the room doors as they were cleaning them., otherwise every thing was great and will go again.

Valet parking was an unexpected feature. The pool was beautiful. Everything was the hotel provided was great. In walking distance to EVERYTHING. We parked for the entire trip. Check in and check out were a breeze! Delicious cookies when you check in. The only negative is that it seems as if the walls were super thin. We were in a room that had a suite option (adjoining rooms) and we heard every word our loud neighbors said.

I stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton for 2 nights in November of 2011. I was in town for a wedding and wanted to take advantage of the time in Chattanooga to do a little site seeing as well as relaxing. The hotel is convenient to the downtown river front area (short walk), bars and restaurants. The location is fantastic.
It is very new and very clean. I stayed in a standard room which had a great TV, microwave, coffeemaker and small refrigerator.
There is a very nice lounge on the second floor with a couple of large screen TV's for taking in a game in your downtime. In addition, there is a restaurant, business center if you need access to a computer and small convenience store.
The staff was very helpful with anything you needed and knowledgeable about the downtown Chattanooga area.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chattanooga.

This hotel was a great value for the location. We really liked that it was right in town and close to a free trolley stop.
Although they did not offer a free breakfast the diner attached to the hotel offered good food at a fair price. The selection was huge and they give hotel guests a 10% discount.
Having free wifi was a definite plus when it came to amenities and the staff were very nice and helpful.
I guess that the drawbacks are that it is a older hotel that was showing its wear. While everything was clean there was a small rip in the comforter and the entertainment center had a crack on one side of the wood. Additionally the bathroom seemed very outdated.
The room itself also seemed to be poorly sound proofed but it only got loud a couple of times while we were there.
Overall it was a good place to stay for a night but probably not somewhere that you would want to stay for a long time or on a romantic trip.

Clean, quiet, good A/C, no shampoo, odd odor in the room but not overwhelming, sheets were clean but had small holes.
Continental Bfst was watered down juice and prepackaged stale honey bun with coffee.
Advertisement describes wonderful view of Lookout Mountain... but this only can be seen from the second story if you overlook the other hotel's rooftop!!

VISITED AS TOURIST- LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, MISSIONARY RIDGE. THE FEW RESTAURANTS THAT WERE OPEN WERE NICE. LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN PARK IS NICE BUT THE TOURIST TRAPS ARE EXPENSIVE. $2.50 FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER. PARKING METERS THAT CHARGE .25 FOR 15 MINUTES. THE INCLINED RAILROAD WASN'T THAT GREAT.
I ASKED THE CLERK WHY I WAS BOOKED ON THE SECOND FLOOR (NO ELEVATOR HERE) & WAS TOLD ALL ROOMS WITH QUEEN BEDS WERE ON THE SECOND FLOOR. HUH? THE MOTEL HAS A GOOD LOCATION. THE CLERKS WERE NOT PARTICULARLY FRIENDLY.
EASY TO GET TO DOWNTOWN CHATTANOOGA & THE TOURIST STUFF.

Overnight on the road. Extremely ugly, garishly painted room with an almost overpowering chemical smell. Otherwise reasonably clean. Breakfast typical grain products, uninviting. Poor value.

The staff here at the hotel was not friendly at all. When I first check in, I had to wait at least 15 mins before a staff came to the front desk. The coffee machine in the lobby was broke. When I went back to office to get some info, the staff was rude. I had to wait 30 mins just to check out the following day and it was early in the morning before 6am. It was just a bad experience and I wouldnt recommend it. Overall, the rooms was clean and so was the bathroom.

we went to Chattanooga for the Southern Brewers Fest and had a great time. the hotel was really nice and staff, fantastic. However, our room was located next to the elevators and ice machine. The walls seemed really thin, so the noise factor was quite high, esp. for sleeping in after a late night of beer drinking! Also, $2 bottles of water from the vending machine gets old fast, so be prepared to lug your own jug. the trolly stop right outside is great, everyone is so nice, and don't miss the Pickle Barrel, a funky old pub only a block away!

Were in the area for a speech and debate tournament at a local college. Access to and from Cummings Highway is a little tight. Room was as advertised and typical for an "updated" Best Western Executive. Meaning there was a new faux marble counter top and some VERY fresh paint. There's a Wendy's across the way. Adequate for our needs. Breakfast starts at 7, so if you've got an early go, include that in your budgeting plans. The biscuits were a bit...firm.

stayed on the ground floor, and it was nice enough for the money. clean and well appointed. The cont'l breakfast was a little thin, and the cleaning staff woke us up yelling at each other up and down the hall the next day. other than that not bad. the location is excellent, across the interstate from the mall, dinning and theater. ive stayed at nicer places on the mall exit but they were twice the price.

This was an awesome trip, loved the location that the hotel is in. We did alot of sight seeing on our motorcyle and it was nice to be able to come back to a comfortable bed in the evening!!!!

We stayed only for one night. The hotel is very close to Ruby Falls and the other Lookout Mountain attractions. It looked kind of dingy and old from the outside (it is indeed quite old), but it was extremely clean inside. The beds have duvet covers instead of bedspreads, and they were clearly freshly washed. The room was small, but it was comfortable and the temperature control was surprisingly good for an old hotel. It has an outdoor swimming pool that was clean (the hotel provided pool towels). The staff was incredibly friendly (we had car trouble and they went out of their way to help out). The only drawback was that the room had no fridge and the room was very small, but still very comfortable.

Very good hotel

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. The staff is very nice and the rooms are clean...which to us, are the main things. We also prefer this location over staying downtown. Not all hotels listed as downtown are really walking distance to the aquarium if that's where you're going. We learned from our first trip that it's easier to just drive and pay for parking closer to the aquarium rather than pay for parking at the hotel and also at the aquarium.

we booked a standard room for 3 persons for 4 days. they somehow forgot the 3rd person because the room was set-up for 2. hotel was fully-booked because of the tornado a week before. they were able to find an extra bed.
for the first 2 days, we had to ask for an extra towel for the 3rd person which was promptly given.
breakfast was excellent. scrambled egg, boiled egg, sausage,biscuit and gravy, oatmeal, pancake, bagel, donut, english muffin, cinnamon rolls, banana, yogurt, milk, apple juice, orange juice, tea, coffee..
there is a cookie and coffee available all day although i haven't tried the cookie because it's always gone by the time i come back to the hotel.
hotel staff are very nice.

We were in town for three nights to attend a family wedding. We had a quite corner of the hotel which was nice for our children. The front desk staff helped with several matters during the stay mostly associated with being in an unfamiliar town. The breakfast was good and the gathering area in the lobby well kept and able to accommodate our extended family with ease.

We went to Chattanooga to attend a convention and could not afford the prices of downtown hotel rooms. The Baymont Lookout Mtn. was a godsend. It had a nice heated pool and spa, was clean, was an easy 6 minute drive to the convention center, had non-smoking rooms, and was convenient to restaurants, the interstate, and shopping. The staff was helpful and convivial. The breakfast was substantial and offered warm and cold food. Our rooms were clean, properly maintained, and quiet.
All-in-all we had a nice visit to Chattanooga thanks, in part, to our accommodations at the Baymont Lookout Mt.

We picked this hotel because it had a hot tub for my mother who has bad knees, but the hot tub did not work. The hot tub's water was hot but the jets did not work.
Shower head had different settings but could not be adjusted.
We bought microwave popcorn from the vending machine and p ut it in the microwave and the microwave did not work. After 40 seconds the bag of popcorn started smoking and filled the room with smoke. I opened the window on the forth floor and there was no screen.
The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.
We did sight see at Rubt Falls, did the incline railway and Rock City.
The location was great. The attractions were close and the traffic was not a problem such as noice and hard to move.
To compare with other trips this was not my top pick but it was not the worst.

The staff are terrific and extremely helpful. The hotel is in process of renovation so it is a little unfair to jude the accomodations and amenities right now. Fantastic restaurant attached to it; I highly recommend it.

Hotel is right on the street corner, and traffic noise was a little loud in our room, which was on the street side. Otherwise, the room was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable.

I meet my family from VA, while I was coming from MS. We shopped at Hamilton Place, ate great food, went to Rock City and The river front. It was a wonderful Labor Day trip and the Homewood Suites was perfect!! The daily "hot breakfast" was great too...a real treat to have good food downstairs in the morning!
