All in all it was what I would expect from a hotel in this price range. I've seen worse and I've had better for the money. It was close to our daily destinations, and we enjoyed the breakfast which was so much better than the "continental breakfast" of juice, coffee and doughnuts. The woman working the breakfast kitchen was very pleasant to chat with, and overall it was a nice place to stay for one night over. I only wondered why when we made our reservation for a no smoking room were we offered a smoking room and then had to ask if no smoking was available before we got it. If it was available why not just say so from the beginning?

This motel pretty much across the street from the Knoxville airport was charming, neat, clean and tidy. The rate I paid was well below other motels in the area thus it was a bargain as well. I would highly recommend this motel and their diligent staff to any wishing an overnight stay near the airport

Very Nice Rooms

This was a one night stay with my daughter who was getting married the following day and wanted to be close to where she had hair and makeup appointments the day of the wedding.
She was impressed with the room and we had a great evening together. I gave her a pedicure and manicure and we just talked the night away. She got very little sleep. She would not admit it but was excited about her wedding.

The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. They had a lot of construction going on in the front and parking was very limited. You have to check in via the back door.

The Hotel was old, even with the upgrades there was a hole wall, tiles where broken. I have stayed in worse hotels. The plus was it was about 5 minutes from the airport, that is why we chose it.

location was great, 2 minutes away from hotel. took us 30 minutes to find it, the name on the sign wasnt the same as the paperwork. believe one bedframe was broken, bed sagged to one side. with heat on bathroom would never get warm, when taking a shower, you had to barely turn on the hot water before getting scalded by the water and/or the handle, had to use a rag to turn hot water off.

This hotel, Royal Inn, turned out to actually be an extended stay option for the Days Inn by the Knoxville Airport. I was directed to check in at a seedy building behind the Days Inn, was given a room at the Days Inn (Thank the Lord!), and charged some $20 more than the Days Inn was advertising! Beware, it's by the airport, and has not been soundproofed to the air traffic flying directly overhead.

The motel was clean, the bed was comfortable and they had a light breakfast available. I arived very late and they had held my room. The shower was warm and put out lots of water.
Would I stay there again? Sure.
It wasn't a 5 star hotel, but for what I paid, it served the purpose and I thought it was good value.

For the price this hotel was an excellent value. The room was clean. The TV had plenty of channels with 4 premium channels. This was no frills but was very clean and comfortable.

Everything was just great! Comfortable, clean, nice rooms. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only thing I would change would be that they did not offer a continental breakfast. Then it would have been complete.

After being in the car for 5 ½ hours I was excited to get to the hotel room. The location of the hotel is BEHIND another hotel, so I initially tried to check in at the wrong spot. While checking in the clerk was friendly but kept asking me for my credit card and then changing his mind. This happened three times during the check in process. The room itself was fine but it was freezing when I walked in. The air conditioning and fan were on hi but the temperature outside was 36 degrees. I turned on the heat and the very loud fan blew most of the night. The room warmed up quickly but it was very loud, although it did drown out any outside noise there might have been. I killed two ants and some sort of other bug (I don't believe it was a bed bug, but I can't be sure). I peeled the bedding off and didn't find any other bugs. I slept well, but was very disappointed that there was no continental breakfast [...] Was not worth the $5 I saved to not have the breakfast at the Comfort Suites.

Staff excellent, very accommodating. Convenient location and shuttle service, even to our son's house which is within 3 miles. Adequate food choices, but too much starch as are most breakfasts. Large bathroom could use more counter space. Bed and pillows very comfortable. We slept great. Nice Tennessee experience.

The hotel was under renovation when I visited, which made me a little nervous initially. However, when I arrived, I didn't hear any construction. The lobby was clearly still going through some renovations but the staff informed me these would be complete in August 2010. The staff also told me about a local Italian place next door. I was able to order from my room and walked over 15 minutes later. The food was amazing and was in large portion sizes. The hotel breakfast the next morning was also well done.

[...]. We had problems traveling from Europe due to weather and the staff was very responsive and helpful in adjusting our reservations. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give them a 15. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs and questions. Housekeeping was great and very responsive as well. The location was quiet (would have never known we were in the vicinity of an airport) with easy access to shopping and a variety of restaurants and eateries. The only recommendations for improvement that we have are a microwave at the breakfast bar to make the oatmeal (would have been a plus) and little more variety (i.e. peanut butter, fruit toppings for the waffles) and fresher fruit at the breakfast bar.

The staff was very friendly, helpful and really went out of their way for me. The rooms were nothing special and the wireless internet was really flaky. Since the internet is a requirement for me to do work that didn't please me much. The tv was also in very poor condition and the speakers were almost blow in it and spots of green would just show up. Other then that a good hotel.

Nice, Clean Hotel, Friendly Staff

The hotel was conveniently located across the 129 from the airport, yet despite it's proximity, I found there to be very little air traffic noise. The bed was comfortable, the towels were clean, the staff was very helpful, and public areas were well maintained. The only, very minor complaint I have is that I had to pull out and plug in the refrigerator.

Not too bad... I expected much worse for the price. Definitely take advantage of the free 24 hour airport shuttle and free breakfast. The hotel becomes a pretty good deal if you will be using those perks. The room was clean and the shampoo/soap etc was nice. Also there is a pool and laundry room. A good place to stay for the night!

We traveled with my parents to a family reunion. I was a little disapointed that they couldn't get our rooms beside each other. The rooms were not that bad, but it was under construction and behind a Days Inn. They were sharing towels and Ice Machine, it was all very confusing. Our parents rooms was updated, so they had a better bathroom. We couldn't use ours because the water in the shower wouldn't adjust, scalding hot water is all that would come out. The noise of the airport wasn't really an issue, I think we were too tired to notice. Overall, I think I might find other accommodations next year.

Quiet & Restful Stay

I arrived later than expected so I basically just used the room to sleep and have breakfast. The staff at the front desk were just ok. She did accommodate my request to move my room from the first floor to the third which I appreciated.
The room had a nice king-sized bed with 5 half-sized pillows that were very comfortable. The room was very nice and had plenty of room. I especially like the sink outside of the bathroom so I could wash up and still keep an on the TV. I like that the desk lamp had an outlet in it so I could easily plug in my laptop. Would have liked an easier access outlet by the bed so I could have my phone next to me. I was able to pull out the night stand and unplug a lamp and use it for my charger.
Would have liked an ice machine on each floor rather than just the first floor, but thankfully I asked about that when checking in and was able to get ice before going up to my room.
Breakfast was ok…cereal, eggs, sausage, biscuits, bagels, muffins, and waffles. No USA Today on weekends was a little disappointing.
Morning staff basically ignored me. Would have liked them to at least acknowledge my existence or at say "good morning."

My husband and I needed a hotel near Louisville, TN for one night. We arrived late and left the following morning, so we were just looking for a decent, clean and quiet place to sleep. The room looked freshly renovated and was larger than I expected with a mini "living room" area, refrigerator and microwave. There was an extra sink with plenty of countertop space in addition to the full bathroom. This was helpful in the morning while my husband and I were getting ready at the same time. Even though the hotel is very close to the airport and on a service road with many gas stations, banks w/ ATMs, and restaurants, the room was extremely quiet. There was a one-mile loop from the hotel around the service road (to at least a dozen restaurants like Starbucks, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Mexican, Chinese, family-style Italian etc.) and up the side street that provided for a well-lit and safe walk after dark and run before dawn. The staff was friendly, but we really didn't need them for anything. The breakfast in the morning was nothing exceptional but better than the typical continental breakfast, offering scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, three cold cereals, toast, biscuits, muffins, donuts. juice, tea, and coffee. I would stay here again.

I was not faring very well when I arrived at the hotel. Doug displayed patience and a wonderful sense of humor which turned my horrible day into a smile. He is to be commended!!
The room was nice and at a pleasing temperature. The staff was very professional and kind. I would definitely stay here again!
