The internet was down and the pool was broken, after driving for 16 hours that is all I really wanted to do. I took a quick look inside the room and left. This is the first time anything like this has happened.

The motel is within site of I95. We were pleased to find a good size, comfortable and clean room with parking at the front door. There are a number of eating places within a 3 minute drive and low cost gasoline (for the automobile). We ate at an excellent Mexican resaurant a few miles east of the motel. The motel breakfast is the standard continental with cereal, orange juice coffee, and donuts. Coffee, fridge and microwave are also in the room.

room had clean smell upon entering. the fixtures were so old and tired, i doubt they could ever have cleaned up properly. the shower curtain was moldy on the bottom edge.the sink faucet was repaired by an amateur. there was no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee maker, and the pickins at the breakfast buffet were slim. but i suppose the room was adequate for a quick stop.

A place to stay while traveling

We had this as a stayover to Orlando. It is an older hotel with doors that open to the outside. The room smelled doggy until we ran the fan for some time. Easy access to I-95 and the staff were polite. The carpet was soiled with some white stuff. The shower was dark and the shower head was immobile. This made it difficult for a good rinse off. The bed, however, was comfortable. Nearby restaurants were good.

The room was very clean, modern, and well designed, beds were comfortable. Flat screen TV was and free breakfast were great. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful...we'll stay here again every time we come this way.

fairly nice room for the 2 stars, not the best price but within the market range. my room seemed fairly new and everything worked well. plenty of towels in the bathroom. located nicely right off 95.
one negative - there were no drinking cups in my room.
I thought I read that the room had a micro and a fridge but it had neither. if they are important to you check before booking.

We stayed 2 nights here. The room was very clean and the desk clerks were very, very nice when called upon for directions, places to eat, etc.
From here we traveled to Charleston, Ladson and Cottageville for antiquing, flea markets and auctions. We will definitely stay here again. Oh, and it is pet friendly, which is definitely a plus.

Taffic on 95 NB was terrible. I decided to get a room, rest then leave early. The front desk woman lacked knowledge.During the shift change, the front desk employees were very rude to each other. The housekeeping man told the front desk lady she could have only 3 extra towels for guests "thats all!" The room was clean but the coffee maker in the room was missing the "filter cup" so I was unable to make coffee in my room. Up at 2a.m. ready to travel, the front desk clerk said "coffee is always available in the dining area".Since my coffee maker didn't work, I headed for the dining area only to find the coffee pot was unplugged leaving the coffee cold!.The breakfast cereal(fruit loops) were very stale.

Renovated?? You could have fooled me. On first making our way to our room I noticed a pool that was EMPTY filled with rust. The door to our room was scuffed and dirty and did not close well. Upon entering the first thing noticed was a very bad musty smell. The carpet was worn and old. Bedspreads were soiled. The toilet tank cover had a huge chip. I could go on. We immediately checked out.

THE HOTEL STAFF WAS VERY NICE BUT THE ROOM NEEDED TO BE UP DATED VERY BADLY. STEPPING INTO THE BATHROOM I STEPPED ON THE SILL AND GOT STUCK BY A TACK IN THE RUG BECAUSE IT WAS A MESS THE TACKS WERE COMING THRU. THE ROOMS HEATER DID NOT WORK VERY WELL AND IT WAS 30 DEGREES OUT. IT WILL BE A VERY NICE PLACE WITH SOME WORK DONE ON IT.

Motel 6 Walterboro - "Serviceable" Tired

This is a "budget" motel, and it delivered all one could expect for the price. There was no coffee pot in the room, but there was a fridge and microwave. The shower had mildew in it. The a/c was excellent! You could set the temp, and the fan would continue to blow when the a/c temp shut off - that is the best feature of this hotel. There wasn't a lot of noise - because there weren't a lot of travellers staying there. The best I can say about this motel is that it is convenient to I-95 and it is inexpensive for a quick one-night stay. The front desk staff were quite friendly and helpful. I would stay there again, but with a full understanding of the limitations of the property. The bed was quite soft, but I had a good night's sleep there.
