Great value and convenient location.
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
Only drawback was the 6:05AM wake up call from the local Rooster that neighbors the back of the hotel. That’s right! Rooster.
The first day it did surprise me but day two it was not pleasant, especially after a long night and the need to sleep in for a long drive home later that day. I would stay again if I had the need to get up early with the Rooster. Everything else was great.

as I said it was our 2nd stay a year apart,WE thought that it might have changed [ aged] but were very pleasently surprised to find it just as clean & nice as our first stay. The staff was great as were the breakfast each day .We plan to stay on every visit to Charleston [2 to 3 times each year]

The hotel was very clean! The bed was so comfortable!!! The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was great too but could be more organized for effeciency. One of my favorite things was the view from the hotel. The view through the pine trees was nice instead of having to look at parking lots or traffic.

A great location for leisure travelers and those visiting the many colleges in the Charleston area! Charleston’s famed Historic District is close by and Northwoods Mall is just 1/2 mile. Frankie’s Fun Park, Whirlin’ Waters Waterpark, North Charleston Coliseum, and Charleston Southern University are all within 5 miles of Red Roof North Charleston Coliseum.

We visited Folly Beach, walked through Slave market and ate dinner at the Charleston Crab house. this was an excellent and fun trip. The room was gorgeous and very comfortable. the staff was friendly.

The hotel staff could not have been more helpful with info that only those who know the area can do. Joe was especially helpful with places to eat. Everyone of the staff was helpful whether it was a request for another pillow or directions to local sites - I have not had a real vacation in years and they made it memorable for my sister and I.

Overall, our experience with the hotel was satisfactory. The a/c worked perfect which was great coming out of the humid Charleston air. Everything worked in our hotel room. You may want to consider getting new beds for the rooms. They were NOT comfortable at all. When I laid down, I could fee the individual springs in my back. Oh yea...we also realized that we should not use the toiletries in the room. I noticed a hair in the lotion bottle which told me that it was not a new tube, but that they simply get filled up if the tube has been used.

We stayed for two nights. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I believe, according to the hotel description, there is supposed to be a fridge in the room. Unfortunately there was not one in my room. Bring a cooler to keep your beer cold (there is a complimentary ice machine on every floor). They provided a descent breakfast with a good selection of food to choose from. The hotel is inexpensive, convenient, clean, and had excellent service.

this hotel was very cozy just really hard to find. once found was in a great place, the tanger outlets!! the only two bad things was pizza boxes were left in the fridge from the last family, and the internet was really slow, but overall good place!

My stay was fine. Although the hotel allows smoking in certain sections and I could smell it in the hallway, there was no odor at all in my room. Staff were friendly, the shower (no bathtubs)was great, and the room was comfortable. The bed was on the firm side which is just like home for me. Suggestions for change would be for the hotel to have frozen and refrigerated items to purchase at the front desk (e.g. ice cream, cold water and soda). They had water and soda for purchase sitting on a shelf. There is a huge outdoor mall across the street and tons of other shopping and restaurants close by. Also, shampoo and conditioner in the rooms would be nice. The pool is not open - it's being renovated which did not matter to me but it might matter to others.

Was looking for a cheap,decent room to shower and change in after a long flight, and it was adequate for that. Cobwebs on the lamps, and the room smelled really musty with the A/C on.

After doing a LOT of traveling over the holidays, North Charleston was one of our last stops. We only stayed one night here, but it was the best of our trip! The room was very comfortable and spacious- big enough for our 2 pack-n-plays and then some. The staff was wonderful and very pleasant upon arrival, and the breakfast was really good. I was very pleased with this hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

After spending a night downtown in an old so called 4star hotel for twice the cost, I was happy to drive 15 mins to spend the night at this fashion forward hotel. The only problem I had was when I booked the shuttle to go downtown they didn't inform me that there were only a few times per day, I found out only when I got on the bus.

The hotel is nice and clean. Flat screen in room, comfortable bed. The breakfast was worth getting up for. My only problem I had was the toilet. I had to keep fixing it. Other than that I would recommend this hotel!

We went to Charleston to visit the aquarium and shop for our 5-year old's birthday. Our stay at the hotel only added to the pleasantness of the trip. The bed was comfortable, the room was immaculate and the service was even better. Also the proximity to the interstate and Walmart(for forgotten toiletries)was convenient for travelers. Anywhere that I travel I hope to find a Staybridge Suites!!

I have been here before, so I thought I would go back. Considering the price, it really isn't that bad. The rooms are a little run down. However, the breakfast was pretty good with a nice variety. The staff is really friendly and helpful. This was just a room that we could stay in to hit the beach during the day and come back to sleep. It sufficed for the job. The location is perfect. The Tanger Outlets is right behind the hotel and there is direct access to I-26. There are also many restaurants right nearby.

I was very disappointed with the mangers special happy hour and the buffet breakfast. We went out for breakfast the next morning. I choose this hotel because of those two items and I was not pleased.

Bedbugs and banging

My wife and I were awakened by banging on our door and the sound of a key card being put in the lock. We called out several times and dialed the front desk to report someone trying to enter the room. The clerk told us it was a security guard and our room had been flagged as dirty in their system. The clerk called off the guard.
We struggled to understand why a guard was sent to a "dirty" room in the middle of the night. The room seemed as if it were serviced and there were no further knocks, so we went to bed. I was awakened in the morning by my wife, who was asking about little red bugs in the bed.
Bed bugs! I was bitten and fresh blood stains were on the sheets. There were numerous older stains on the sheets as well. We took photos, caught some bugs in a zip lock and headed to the lobby after carefully showering.
The morning clerk was sympathetic but said we would have to speak to the manager. She didn't have an explanation about the guard or the night clerk's comment that the room was flagged as dirty. The number for the manager was a recording. I spent the next two weeks contacting Marriott trying to get an explanation for the dirty room being rented to us and a refund of my money. All I got from the local manager was the promise that pest control was being notified and a coupon for another stay at the same hotel. Marriott corporate did nothing except forward my emails to the manager. The Charleston Board of Health was concerned when they saw my photos but had no authority to act.
I finally contacted the online service who booked the room for me, and they got my money back a few days later.

Very nice motel. Close to good restaurants. Staff went beyond our expectations. Very clean even though they were very busy with a family reunion and Dixie league play-offs.
