Hotel recently reburbished. Rug and bedlinens clean and comfortable but the bathroom looked like it had not be cleaned, especially behind the door.

Hotel is easy to access off of rte 85 in Anderson. Room was immaculate. Temperpedic numbered bed was very comfortable. Only drawback was that B-fast was not included - $6.00 for continental - $10.00 for eggs, pancakes and such - made to order, with friendly and prompt service. Clemson University just 15 mins. down hwy 76. Much better than over-paying to stay any closer to the school.

Very clean room with fluffy and comfortable bed. Just what I need! Breakfast was very good with a variety of options from fresh fruits, cereal, and the coffe was also fresh and tasty.

Hotel was nice, clean, attentive staff, great location. Outback within walking distance along with several other restaurants. We were very surprised to find the room cheaper than what we had confirmed on internet.

Do not stay at this hotel! We found genital hair in two of the beds, so we requested another room. The other room had genital hair in one of the beds and the shower did not have a shower curtain. The next morning, we did not have any running water, we had to make the four hour trip home without a shower. We were also denied any refund for the inconvenience.

Excellent location, friendly staff, nice room. TVs need upgrading. If you stay in room on side facing I-85 take some ear plugs with you cause it sounds like NASCAR event outside your room all night long! Request room away from Interstate and you'll be fine.

Description
The Bleckley Inn stands on what was once referred to as Granite Row. The original structure was built in 1908 by Sylvester Bleckley and was named the Elizabeth Bleckley Building after his wife. This was Anderson’s first multi-storied office building with an elevator. J.J. Fretwell, son-in-law of Mr. Bleckley, became his partner. John E. Peoples, another son-in-law of Mr. Bleckley, also contributed to the success of this venture. Mr. Peoples statue can be seen a block away in the cemetery on the grounds of First Baptist Church of Anderson, South Carolina.
Unfortunately, one of Anderson’s most historic fires destroyed the Bleckley Building in 1978. Any original bricks that could be salvaged were utilized in the reconstruction. The Bleckley Inn construction began in 2010. The guest rooms have been named in honor of these three men, Bleckley, Fretwell and Peoples, that were instrumental in the development of downtown Anderson at the turn of the century.

reasonably priced for Clemson game times--it was clean, warm, good sleeping--no required stay for the price, HBO movies were a bonus--order in movies would be a good addition--location is good for the game as well as shopping and dining!

The hotel is located nine miles from Clemson University and a number of other upstate businesses and area attractions, making it a comfortable and convenient place to stay for leisure and business travelers.
Several restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel, 1-2 miles from Anderson Mall and several other dining and shopping facilities making it convenient with minimum commute.

If you are staying for Clemson football, it is a lot cheaper. The room was very clean. The staff was great. The motel is older, so don't expect a lot!
