The Staff was excellent and the price was perfect. Gettysburg is a great place to visit and we have done so many times. There a lot of excellent places to stay there but this one is by far the best priced for its value.

I chose this hotel mainly for the amazing location in the heart of Gettysburg. Located right on Steinwehr, it doesn't get much better. The price was fair but a bit pricey in my opinion. The room was very clean, but was unable to be accessed until 3 and a half hours after the check-in time. Very unprofessional in my opinion. However, if you're not super concerned on being in the hotel right away, I would recommend this place.

On my previous trip to Gettysburg we had a very good centrally located hotel but they were fully booked so I read reviews and settled on Gettysburg Travelodge. It was centrally located- we could walk to everything which is something that I wanted. The room was clean, comfortable and had a mini fridge and coffee maker hair dryer and iron and ironing board. The towles were premium and plentiful. In the morning they had continental breakfast available. The air conditioner was a bit loud but I could deal with that. If I were to come to Gettysburg again I would stay at the Gettysburg Travelodge for sure. Love the local people at Gettysburg they are so friendly- makes me want to move there some day.

We went to Gettysburg to tour the battlefield and just wanted a clean quiet place to relax. The hotel is older, but clean and the rooms were very quiet. Close to shops & restaurants.

It was a nice normal hotel. I liked that it was really clean. You are never sure what you are going to get when you don't go to a major chain hotel. I really liked that we had a balacony off each room.

We found the hotel to be clean, comfortable with a filling though not fancy or elaborate breakfast... definitely a good value for the cost as we toured the Gettysburg area. I would stay there again and recommend to friends.

The location to the whole area was superb!!
The continental breakfast was wonderful. fresh cooked, and plenty of it to satisfy the hungriest of people.
the Bed was wonderful...as good as my home bed!! The cable didn't have weather channel, and it was a little hard to get the updated weather, but we enjoyed the trip none the less.
I would highly recommend our Comfort Suites to anyone!!

Our family headed to Gettysburg to see some historic sites. The hotel location was awesome! It is right in the heart of it all. We are definitely planing on stay there again. The rooms were clean and the breakfest was good.

This hotel is very nice. If you are a Hilton Honors member, they'll feed you breakfast for free, and I think you can get the membership for free. We were/are not members, so for me and my son the breakfast ran $15, it's not worth $15, but it certainly is good enough if it's free. The room was nice, the pool good enough for us, and they have the hot-tub thing, which we liked.

After spending a great night at the Hilton Garden in Harrisburg, we decided to extend our weekend for a night in Gettysburg, PA. The Gettysburg Hilton Garden was not quite as nice, but still very clean and cosy. The mattress will need to be replaced, as the beds were awfully soft with little support, but other than that no complaints, other than a bit pricey for a Hilton Garden.

We stayed for one night. The room was clean and the staff of the motel was very friendly. The smell in the room is not the best. But in 5 min walking distance you can find many shops and a good breakfast resterant. (Avenue).

I was really disappointed with the motel. The bed had a plastic cover that was ripped, then instead of a fitted sheet, they had a flat sheet that came off the bed. The other bedding was ripped and nasty looking and smelling. They had to replace the tv because someone had spilled something on it that caused it not to work. The bathroom wasn't too nice either. There was no frig in the room either. The price wasn't expensive, but it should have been much more comfortable.

We booked The Country Inn and Suites before and were pleased. This time the hotel was booked full and still the place was great. We swam enjoyed the hot tub, but the breakfast was unbelievable. There was so much food. Fresh fruit, Hot items, different each day. We will be back again. The new visitor center was the highlight of our trip.

Labor Day Weekend and the hotel was full. We were pleased with everything, We did not expect a full hot breakfast with all the amenities. So close to everything and it was very quiet and we slept well. Try it it's almost perfect.

This hotel is not the greatest, but it is not that bad either. I think it has a poor rating because no one is impressed with it enough to give it five stars, but occasionally people have bad experiences and give it 1. It just your standard hotel. The furnishings are a bit old and nothing is high quality, but the facilities are not in disrepair nor dirty. If you are just looking for a place to sleep for a night or two, it serves adequately.

I stayed at this hotel while on a job interview. It was reasonably priced, and the drive into town was easy. The desk receptionist and housekeeping employees were very friendly. Though the lobby was nice, most of the other areas were in need of renovation and/or upgrades. The rooms and bathrooms were a little retro with a slight odor; the pool tiles needed some cleaning and repair; and the entire large piece of property had the feel of someone's failed big dream. It did not come with a continental breakfast and the "lounge" dining was expensive. There was no refrigerator or microwave. This facility met my needs, and I saw families with children enjoying the pool. For the price, I would stay there again.

Staff was friendly but when I told the woman at the front desk that my card on two separate occasions did not open the back door, really didn't do anything about it. She said if another guests complains she'd check it. She did give me a map and magazine for Gettysburg which was helpful.
If only the people next door to me could keep their kids quiet. They were very, very load or the walls were too thin. The room was very very clean and nice and cool. The bed was pretty comfy. Overall I would recommend this hotel but I may stay in a bed and breakfast for the same price in order to get more of an experience in Gettysburg.

Very nice hotel with good size beds and bathroom. It's close to the main highway with good access to Gettysburg from more than one direction. It's not near many food places though. Thought the price was a little high considering the location from the battlefield and attractions.

Not bad for price paid, needs remodel

The hotel lobby is nice and clean but smells like a swimming pool because the pool is adjacent to the lobby. We were visiting the Ski Liberty resort about 20 mins from this hotel. The rooms were clean, but need a serious remodel, they're televisions are rested on pieces of cardboard so they can rotate on top of the dresser/entertainment unit. Its nice to have a fridge and microwave plus the bathrooms have the nice heat lamps to keep you warm after the shower. The front desk associate at night told us the incorrect time for the pool and I was thoroughly disappointed because the pool was something I was looking forward to using but the hours are so limited. I planned on getting up early to do some laps but the one associate told us 11am and it was really 930, so that was rather disappointing. Overall hotels not bad, no bed bugs which was great. A friend of ours staying in the hotel says don't eat the free breakfast or at least the eggs..

This hotel was fine, for as much as we were in it. We were constantly on the go and only in the hotel for sleeping.
The breakfast bar left a lot to be desired. The scrambled eggs were horrible & they offered sausage patties that look like they were boiled. Some people do not like sausage, no bacon at all, but it was included in the price of your room - so no need to go out for breakfast.
The location was pretty good, not far from the heart of Gettysburg, and easy to get in & out of.
The pool didn't look very clean, so we opted out of swimming.
All of this is ok though, as we had a great time in Gettysnburg. From purchasing the CD & doing the auto tour, exploring the battlefield, we saw a union regiment reinactment, had our photo taken at the Victorian Studio (they did a great job). We had a great time participating the a ghost tour with Gettysburg Paranormal Assoc...and also went on thier Midnight to 2:00 am ghost hunt.
All in all...lots of fun & not much time spent at the hotel.

Gettysburg hadn't had snow in October since 1972, and it got hit this week end. The hotel took great care of its driveways and sidewalks. The stafff was excellent, and their underground bar had a real fireplace. We will come back again to this hotel.

Careless help.

When we walked in I smelled cigarette smoke; changed rooms.
The next day the maid(s) smoked in the room while changing towels while we were gone.
Other than that it was liveable.

mis-leading information regarding pets

we specifically searched for a room that would accept pets, this hotel advertised on your site that the first pet was free - $10 fee for second pet - yet upon check in we were told ABSOLUTELY no pets, and they would not refund our fee. They also booked us in a smoking room when we booked non smoking. We had no other recourse but to take turns sleeping in our car with our puppy as the hotel would not let him in our room.

The hotel was nice and quiet, and the staff was very friendly. I was disappointed when I found out that the IN-door pool was closed. The location was great. You could get any where within 10 minutes. We will definitly visit there again.

The hotel was clean, there was only complementary soap so don't forget your shampoo & conditioner. There weren't any cups in the room either. I have paid significantly less for rooms and had much more comfy beds and pillows w/ several complementary items. But it did the job and was clean. Staff seemed pleasant.
