The room was clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The fresh ground coffee and french press was a nice touch. The beach view, once the fog cleared, was fantastic and access to the beach was close and convenient. We walked everywhere we wanted to go - dinner, beach, shopping and even the bar after dinner for some pool and drinks. The only downer of the entire weekend for us was waking up earlier than desired to the sounds of the cleaning crews getting supplies from the supply closet, which we were (un)lucky enough to have located right next to our room.

Typical Best Western--comfortable but not extraordinary. It was quiet, the view was fantastic, and they do a very nice breakfast--just about anything you could want. Overall, excellent value for the money.

We've been coming to Lincoln City for years now, and have stayed at about 10 difference hotels down there. Ashley Inn was very clean, and roomy. It is towards the north end of town, which is fine, but a little ways away from the outlet mall, restaurants, etc.
The breakfast was better than I expected, so definitely a thumbs up for that! No bacon no, which isn't cool.
Overall, it is a great place to stay when it is on sale. Nothing special, nothing fancy. We would probably come back if the price was right.

Only stay on the top floor!

Generally-speaking a nice hotel; however, if you stay on any floor other than the top (third) floor you better be a heavy sleeper or bring ear plugs. You could hear EVERY footstep, like the crunchy sounds footsteps make in gravel. Not only that you could hear the person's bathroom habits through the ceiling and plumbing. Seriously?!? But aside from all of that, the indoor pool, continental breakfast, and close proximity to fun things along the coast made it a tolerable stay.

It was good but we found out there is a weight limit on dogs of 25 pounds, and we have a large dog. They did make an exception for us, which we appreciated.

We had to have a room change because of ants, but they were happy to accomodate us. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, it had hbo. hot tub, but it didn't stay open late enough to use. Friendly staff. No view at all out any windows though. A tad to spendy for it is an older motel

The hotel staff was friendly. The room was worn. The carpet needs to be replaced, the bedspreads need to be replaced. Everything was clean, but worn.
It was quiet, we rested uninterrupted. If you really need to sleep, this is the place.
We tried to eat the free continental breakfast. They told us it was from 7-9 am. We waited until 7:15, there were no hotel staff, and the breakfast room was locked. We had to go out to eat.
Would I stay there again, maybe if nothing else was available. It sure wouldn't be worth paying full price for a night. It is ok if you get a deal on the price.

Rooms dirty, no hair dryers in the room. The whole was rather beyond the standard, in fact I think the Health Department would have closed it down.

Large room, nicely done, pretty little breakfast room w/decent free continental breakfast. Small workout room we didn't use, hot tub was filled with one family, so didn't use it. Heard one complaint re charges they didn't expect.

Just a block from the Outlet stores.
We traveled up and down the Oregon Coast for three days. It was a nice location to come back to every night. The room was very well kept, and relatively quiet. Continental breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend the 4th floor as it was probably the reason for it being so quiet.

Our main reason for using this place was because it had a pool. the pool was out of order the complete time we were there. We paid extra to have a top floor so we could have a view of the ocean. To many trees in the way so not a good view. Staff verry nice

Absolutely LOVED the room, light, airy and roomy, close to where we needed to be and wonderful breakfast. I really didn't care for the desk person at check in though. I gave her my credit card for their "holding fee" for possible damages, and within 15 minutes of us being upstairs she said there was a problem with the card. When I brought it back down for her to swipe again she couldn't get it to work so she wanted to write my card number and name on a scrap piece of paper. I ended up giving her another card to swipe and it all worked out but it was a very questionable move on her part.

The motel was close enough to the ocean to walk. We were at the beach to light the wish lanterns along with the Kids with Cancer people. It was a fun experience. The exercise room was very nice. Could have used one more treadmill. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There was a good selection for breakfast.

Last minute plans that required adjoining rooms. Helpful staff re-arranged things to make it happen. Nice indoor pool, spa and sauna. Rooms are very quiet even though Hwy 101 is 50 feet away. Free breakfast was typical, but there is not much seating room so don't wait too late to head down for breakfast. Perfect family hotel.

place to sleep, shower

I went sight seeing and if you only need a place to sleep, shower and cheap the location is along rte. 101, across the beach. Carpet looks yucky, wear your slippers whenever you walk around the room. the hotel needs upgrading including the walls - you can hear the next door coughing.

The staff did not have our reservation correct. We had paid for two rooms and when we arrived they only had us down for one, even when we showed them our reservations they wanted to put us on different floors. We were traveling with our granddaughter and obviously did not want to be on separate floors. We had requested adjoining rooms when we purchased the accommodations.

Good experience overall, of course if one looks one can find something wrong with every place. Couldn't be closer to the ocean without being in it, room had all the requirements for comfort and relaxation. If the maintenance people would inspect the room closely, they would find a few things that could have used attention. If you're looking for a brand new luxury place, look elsewhere. This place has the feel of what a beach trip should be.... and it has for years. Each room has a great private balcony

Description
Completely renovated, nonsmoking boutique oceanfront hotel with direct beach access, located within minutes of restaurants, shopping, and Chinook Winds Casino. All rooms feature pillowtop mattresses, upgraded linens, and flat screen TVs with DVD. Room amenities also include coffeemaker, hairdryer, and minifridge. Please note that there is no elevator on the property, so stairs may be required to access your room. We are family friendly, and well behaved children are welcome. Late arrivals should call the hotel before 10pm. Sorry, no pets allowed.

We have stayed the Lincoln City Motel 6 before, numerous times. I always bring my own pillow because I am picky like that. My hubby said the pillows were the worst he has ever used in a hotel. So bring your own from home.
This was the first time that I have found sand in my supposedly clean bed. I called the front desk and within five minutes, they had sent the head housekeeper up to apologize and change the entire bed's sheets.
Also, apparently we stayed in a pet-room so my husband did get bitten by fleas five times but they gave us a $26 refund for the trouble. I guess that, if you don't have a pet, ask to stay in a non-pet-room to avoid that.
Overall, I will still keep staying at Motel 6. I expect a little trouble (like uncomfortable pillows and beds) because it is a cheap stay. And they did make right what was wrong so we were happy.

The overall experience was great. But it was less than I expected after seeing the advertisement pictures of luxurious suites and then winding up in a cramped room without even a dresser to put our clothes in.

From the mid afternoon coffee drinks at the bar with the panaramic view of the beach, to sleeping with the balcony doors open to allow the sound of the waves and cool breezes to put us to sleep, this was an all time good relaxing place to stay.
The room had a great balcony and view of the beach. Our room had a mini kitchen and the decor was quaint and beachy...plus nice and clean.
The bed was extra comfy.

Beautiful ocean and bay view property with a variety of spacious rooms and suites. We have guest rooms with whirlpool tubs, gas fireplaces, kitchenettes and decks. We also have full kitchen suites, 2 bedroom suites, beautiful pet friendly rooms, and more. Great low beach access and complimentary continental breakfast each morning. Perfect location at the south end of Lincoln City in the historical Taft District. SORRY OUR WHIRLPOOL SUITES ARE NOT PET FRIENDLY ROOMS AND ARE LIMITED TO TWO PERSONS ONLY.

Looking glass inn - rooms were very clean, staff was very friendly thought it was great for the price paid. The hotel is located in a cove with access to beach area. I wouldn't exactly say the rooms are ocean front view, but you do have partial view of the cove area. Location is quiet and was walking distance to Mo's restaurant. I like the fact that its also very pet friendly if you are traveling with your dog and parking is available on the hotel property. The location is outside of the city area where most of the restaurants however it was very peaceful and quiet.
