Very please with the hotel

In the last four years, I travel two to three times a year to Oregon and I usually stay at a two or three stars hotel for one to two weeks. This past weekend, I had to make a trip to Oregon and stayed at Larkspur Landing Hillsboro for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very spacious clean room with fully appointed kitchen and a full size refrigerator. The staff were friendly. Despite a budgeted complimentary breakfast, it is easily one of the best three stars hotel in Oregon that I had stayed in the last four years. I will definitely consider Larkspur Landing Hillsboro again on my next trip to Oregon.

A simple Mom & Pop hotel that was clean and entirely adequate. Be sure to eat at the Indian restaurant Maharaja next door. I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, checked in late, beds were very comfortable with adaquate pillows. Complimentary breakfast was outstanding with everything from muffins to pancakes to yogurt and more! We even picked up a few "finds" for our geocache log.

It is very close the the blue line MAX station Fair Complex and if you need to go to the Intel JF campus from here all you need to do is walk back to the MAX station and get on the Intel shuttle that waits there to pick up employees that travel to Intel's JF campus by MAX. In the afternoon the
Free wireless in all rooms, hotel has a internet station in the lobby so no need to unpack the laptop if you need to quickly search for something and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
Only downside is that there is no elevator so if you have a heavy suitcase you need to carry it upstairs yourself, since there are only 2 floors the most you have to carry it up is one floor so it is doable.

The hotel is situated in a very nice location, it is close to restaurants within walking distance, parking was adequate, the hotel lobby is very inviting.
Our stay was very quiet which is what we needed. There was not one negative thing I can make a comment about. Great Stay!

This is about the best a Marriott gets, and I mean that in a positive way. The hotel is newish, clean, quiet, with nicely designed rooms. The location is excellent, a short drive from all sorts of stores and the light rail. And staff was very friendly. A great find. As a seasoned user of hotel complimentary breakfasts, this is the _only_ one I've been to that included PAM spray next to the waffle iron to keep the waffle from getting all sticky - a sign of their level of service and thoughtfullness.

This was a good place for us to stay on our trip. The staff was outstanding and the rooms were set up mostly for a business traveler, but they were good. It is a non-smoking facility, so we appreciated that aspect of the accommodations.

Fine location, and the price was right

We really enjoyed our stay. The motel was quiet, even though it was very close to the highway, and the staff were very helpful and personable. The room was comfortable and homelike, and I especially liked the courtyard with the gazebo and many seating areas. Our kids visited twice, and our grandaughter enjoyed swimming in the saltwater pool with other children. There are many things to enjoy in the Portland area as well as the area surrounding Hillsboro. We loved the Air and Space Museum in McMinville. We have put this motel at the top of our list for trips to this area

Very nice experience. Quiet area and away from busy roads. Located in a nice, new warehouse/shopping area. Directions from Google maps were not good. Right off the freeway, they had us drive three blocks away from the shortest route and double back. Staff was friendly and facility was very clean. Breakfast was reasonably priced ($9.95) and the food was good.

Disappointing form/function contrast

The outside of the hotel was being renovated when I stayed there, but the inside didn't have any construction, so this was not a big deal. However, I was deeply disappointed at the contrast between the looks of the room I stayed in verses its functionality! The decorations spoke to uniqueness & likely differentiation between rooms (though I didn't see the other rooms) with an eye towards home-like old-style quaintness.
However, the functionality was worse than any hotel I've stayed in before. Here are the main issues I had:
1. The phone did not work (I called, and they said they would "reboot" the system to get it working; it still was not working the next day when I left).
2. There was NO alarm clock nor was there a way to have them give me a wake-up call (even if the phone did work, it does NOT allow incoming calls, according to the hotel rep I spoke with). This is completely unacceptable for any business stay.
3. Advertised wireless internet connectivity appeared to be non-existent, at least according to my laptop, which detected NO wireless signal.
4. The advertised conti-breakfast was Nutri-grain bars and coffee...nothing else.
5. The shower water pressure was lower than any hotel I have ever stayed in, so low as to be unacceptable.
All in all, the functionality of this hotel stay was terrible, despite the appearance of the room.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area. It is quiet and private. The Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. it is close to shopping and entertainment. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others.

This hotel is within walking distance to plenty of eating and a few shops. It is not a well-kept facility tho the staff is very pleasant. Guests throw their full garbage bags in the hallway where is sets for days. Stairwells haven't been swept in ages. Towel racks hang by a loose screw on the wall. Kitchenette towels are stained and grimy looking.

This hotel is in a great location and surrounded by everything within a short car ride. I'm use to the daily housekeeping rituals of other hotels where the sheets, towels, and garbage were removed and replenished as required but if you're a clean person you'll keep the place in ship shape and you take care of those things yourself. If you depend on others keeping you clean good luck!
