We booked the room with the queen bed mini suite with kitchenette. To our surprise the room was much larger than we expected and the kitchennete and dining bar top worked great as did the adjoining sofa/ tv area. Our package came with 2 complimentay glasses of wine and breakfast the next day. The motel is conveniently located to the down town area (by car) and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and again, spacious.
Would stay again (probably will soon) again in the future.

Great Place, I'd love to stay again. It was a nice happy hour and bar area. The room was beautiful, but just a tad outdated. The hotel staff seemed to be trying hard to do well at their jobs.

The hotel was clean and quiet. I really liked the fact that the hotel is pet friendly and allows a pet at no extra charge. Eventhough we did not bring our pet, it is nice to know for the future.

This was a great deal for the money, however make sure you get down to the continental breakfast early as they don't keep it well stock in the later morning hours and we ended up eating next door at the Black Bear Diner. The room was clean, and we stayed in a pet friendly room so that is commendable.

We had a great stay. The least expensive room was plenty big enough for the two of us. It was a good value.
The pool at the resort, although it was a long walk, was outstanding. Lots of pool chairs and a nice lawn area.
Trails for running and biking are right out the door.

The Mount Bachelor Village Resort at Bend was very nice. The location was good, it was not far from Old Mill mall with lots of high-class shopping and restaurant close by. I especially loved walking the trail around hotel property, it has wonderful river view, and really uplift my spirit after a week-long trip. I stayed at the condo unit, the interior furnishing at this property is superb, the only downside is that there are several stain on the carpet and the hotel didn't have continental breakfast as part of the amenities. Overall, I think it's comfortable, safe, friendly place...yeah, compare to regular hotel, it might be a little pricey, but it's definitely worthy. Next time, I will probably stay for few more days to have time to explore Mountain in that area and nice neightborhood of the City of Bend.

I wasn't heading to a large metro area so my hotel expectations weren't huge. I also didn't want to spend too much so again my expectations weren't high. But I have to say I was very happy with my brief stay. the beds were as comfortable as I've ever been in. If they sold them I'd ship one to my house.
The lobby was nice. The restuarant was more like a diner but that is the only downside. The elevator was also old but that is just nit picking. The staff was very friendly. I would stay there again.

I would have liked the room to have been cleaner. The carpet looked as though it hadn't been cleaned from the previous stay. There was stuff on the floor like a goldfish snack cracker and other debrie. The continental breakfast did not have any lowfat choices not even oatmeal. The bed was comfortable.

Positives were clean room, friendly, competent staff and good location near mall for food and cheapest fuel in town according to the staff.
Negatives were mushers were spending the night. Dogs in the parking lot. probably 30 dogs.Quiet at night but lots of barking when fed in evening and early a.m. Lots of scooping of doo.
Watch for the safe in the room scam. They have a safe you can use if you want. If you don;t use it you have to tell the desk clerk to remove the charge. They didn't tell me this. They had a sign at front desk when I checked out otherwise I would have been charged $1.50.

It was like the worse looking hotel in the whole town. Yes,we were looking for a bargain, but once we got to town we saw plenty of local hotels that looked in much better shape, and their signs indicated they were around the same price. We had never been to this town before, so didn't know. We won't stay there again.

We arrived at 1 am and the service agent was very pleasant. When we got in the room it was very run down. When we climbed into bed the pillows were so thin we used our sweat shirts and coats to sleep on. There were stains on the carpet and a hole in the ceiling.

Better than you'd expect

We needed a room on a very busy weekend in Bend--that took pets. Motel West was our only option, and to be honest we were a bit worried. However, despite being an older property, the room was clean, with new tile in the bathroom, and quite spacious. The staff were very friendly, and overall we were pleased with what we got for the price. Our only complaint was no fan in the bathroom.

It was a nice clean and friendly stay the only draw back was that it is out away from most of the city and could easily get lost trying to find the location. The beds were too soft for me. Bad back made it a painful wake up.

The night management was great. She responded to my call on a barking/whining dog that was left behind by the owner. She just took the pooch to the front desk and took care of him until the owner returned. Problem solved. Very clean and surprisingly a good for a 2 star hotel [...] Was more like a 3 star.

Very nice for the price

This is an older hotel that is very well maintained.
Our room was very clean and everything was in good working order except for one blown light bulb. We were very pleased with what we got for the money we paid. Incidentally, it is right next door to a great restaurant called the Black Bear Diner - awesome granola pancakes!

very friendly staff. I had cut my arm on the way to hotel not only did I receive more than one large size bandaids I was also given neosporeian without even asking.
We arrived at 1 am to warmth and friendless. We would stay there again.
There was not a micowave nor fridge. That would be the only improvement.

The La Quinta in Bend was clean, comfortable and had great staff. They had a good selection of breakfast items. They had cookies at 7:00 pm and my son was in heaven. The pool and hot tub were major selling points to us. They are very pet friendly.

Not impressed with hotel. We moved after the first night even though the room was paid up for three nights. It cost us more money...but we felt safer!

[...] Rooms are fairly clean but bathroom was quite small. Had large fridge and small microwave. Beds seemed a little uncomfortable at first but we slept well after taking sleeping pills. It seems that there are lots of tenants who are there for weeks or months at a time.

Was given the reciept from the office lady and found if I had called them the motel would have been half price. The motel was not the best, when pulling the sheets back from the bed, a condom wrapper fell between the wall and the mattress. The window was broken and would not shut. I was very disappointed.

For a very low price on a Saturday night, what did I expect? A bed (check) shower (check...mostly) and no bugs or screaming neighbors (check and check). Place was worn, old, and cheap (like I like my wo...nevermind). Got to park my bike in front of my room and nobody messed with it. Other riders came in during the night too. Staff was friendly and checkin took all of ten minutes. Phone worked, as did TV, coffee maker, wifi was first gear fast but worked. Refer made noise...unplugged it. bathrooms and showers barely suffice, but again... THE PRICE IS RIGHT! I'm el cheapo!

Small but quiet room with adequate ammenities. Definitely worth the cost and a perfect location for my needs. Nearby shopping, food, groceries, and a great pub.

Great staff. Great location. You can park your car and not have to move it for a weekend as there is so much to do wtihin walking distance. Free breakfast, wi-fi, indoor pool and hot tub. Free cookies in the evening. Big rooms.

Just stopping to relax

My daughter and I needed place to stay for one night. The room was very clean, the pool was perfect temperature and even though the motel was full, I was not bothered by any noise. Very nice :-)
The breakfast bar was adequate and the pancake machine was out of order.
The motel is very close to a shopping mall and only a few minutes to downtown Bend and only 10 minutes from Redmond
This is a yearly stop for me and I'm sure that I will stop next year.

It was perfect for my needs. A nice, clean room (it appeared recently remodeled), and quiet. I traveled to Bend, OR to bike ride, and didn't want to spend too much money on a room I would only sleep in.

There was a small lawn for the dog, the room was clean and comfortable with both frige and microwave. Not the newest, but it was clean and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accomodating.

I went with one of their less expensive room without a river view and found it very comfortable and quiet. Also the front desk was friendly and helpful. This room fitted my needs perfectly for this trip.
I have stayed here before in a cottage with a fantastic river view and would highly recommended the added cost if you plan to walk along the river and spend you days relaxing at the motel.
