Lima is a relatively small town but was pleasant to stay for a weekend. Visited Dearborn and Findlay. The staff was friendly and the cookies were good. The "square fair" was going on and was an enjoyable experience with a nice fireworks display. Kewpee is a must try place!!

This was a very clean hotel. I really enjoyed the hot tub. It was so relaxing. The continental breakfast was much better than I have seen at other hotels. The selection was much more than I expected. You could make your own waffle or Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich.
The only thing I would have liked to see that the room didn't have was a small fridge and a microwave.

For us, the hotel was a stopping point between Bucyrus and Fort Wayne, IN. Very nice that we could only go a short distance on Saturday evening to pass the time.
Compared to other hotels, the breakfast food was a little slim, but that was ok.

This hotel has clean rooms, clean bathroom, decent free breakfast, and a friendly staff. This is (NOT) a run down hotel. It was worth the money.

For some reason we were given a wheel chair accessible room right off of the lobby - hopefully no other guests needed that room as we did not. Rooms were decent and fairly clean. Fine for a quick stop over...also I wouldn't get to excited for the 'warm breakfast'. We held out for McDonalds down the road.

I booked the room in advance and was happy with the location as it was right off the interstated and within 10 minutes of where I was going in the morning. The staff was nice and the room was in great shape. The hotel was under reovation though and it was a little hard to navigate around. Also the breakfast that was served was not very good.

They were doing some renovations during my stay so obviously making some improvements which is always a good thing. They had lots to choose from in the way of places to eat close by that also delivered. Overall not bad for the price.

The room was stuffy with the ac off. Got too cool with it on. Breakfast ok, hostess very nice.
Should tell people ahead of time that they have to climb stairs to get to the breakfast room. Nice hotel though, would stay again. Very clean!
Very nice for families visiting University of Northwestern Ohio.

Staff was professional and friendly. The room was nice size and very clean. This is a new property and it shows. We appreciated the helpful staff, convenience to interstate highway, quiet location and a resturant on site.
We would return again if in Lima area.

Our hotel features Free Continental Breakfast, Seasonal Outdoor Pool, Picnic Area, Ample Parking near your door, Free High Speed Internet access in all rooms and lobby, Free Local Calls and Guest Laundry. Our rooms feature Cable TV with over 70 channels including HBO, Hair Dryers, Alarm Clock and Microwave and Refrigerators available by request. A variety of unique restaurants are just up I-75 a couple of miles, with Waffle House and Las Palmas next door. We pride ourselves with providing first class attention and clean rooms to our guests.

The good?, bad & ugly

Rang late arrival buzzer 5 times before it worked, remote hardly worked for TV, asked for reciept when checking out desk clerk had to get it out of trash (crumpled and prices scribbled out). Selected this hotel because it had a pool,(closed). [...] Found spider in tub, good thing they don't creep me out.

Generally speaking, it was fair for the price. Yes it is an older hotel and had "older hotel" type issues like a few chipped tiles and such but the price was right and it included a refrigerator, perfect for the Thanksgiving weekend.However, we encountered some very avoidable issues and quickly decided there were plenty of choices of hotels in Lima with comparable prices that we know would have been better.The night we checked in, we had no bath towels in our room. There were only a couple wash cloths and hand towels. One hand towel was set folded on top of the tank of the toilet and when I picked it up, out fell a cap of a beer bottle. When I called the front desk to see if I could come get bath towels, the clerk insisted I wasn't looking in the right place for the towels but did reluctantly tell me he would give me some if I came up to the desk (which is what I offered from the start). I don't appreciate being treated like a fool or a thief... whichever he was thinking. The next morning, we ran down to grab a quick pastry/muffin from their continental breakfast served 6-10 AM. Admittedly, it was 9:45 but everything was cleared away including cups for the coffee which they claimed to serve all day long.That evening we return to the hotel to discover that the code to the lock on our room had been changed and our keys no longer worked. We had the room reserved for two nights on "one system" but another system had us recorded as being only one-night guests. We had both been very careful to not put our keycards in the same pocket with our cell phone or other charge cards - been there done that, not an excuse this time.As I checked out, the clerk asked how everything was and I was honest. He proceeded to feed me lines of bull contradictory to what others had said and what I know to be true from staying in other hotels - particularly how the keys work and that you shouldn't have to ask the desk clerk for a cup to drink complimentary coffee. Normally, I seriously roll with the punches and don't complain and try to get some sort of compensation from a frustrating experience getting worse, but he continued to feed me bull that he had no control over how much I was charged and couldn't refund any money [...] He did eventually hand me a card for $10 off my next stay at that particular Days Inn but it was very painful for him to do so and I honestly don't know why I picked it up.

Great customer service

Their site was nice, clean, and modern! The front desk staff was very professional and knew each guest by their first name. The breakfast was so delicious and had many options to choose from. My room was clean and spacious! The only issues I had was their slow Internet connection and the bed was so hard that my back hurt the whole trip! I would recommend this place to others!

The Hampton Inn in Lima provided a very clean and comfortable room during my recent stay. Although what I typically pay at Hampton Inn's is usually a little more than what I like to pay for a night's lodging (especially without a hotel restaurant), I continue to return to this chain because of it's consistency. I always know that the standard of the room will be high and the service will be friendly and efficient. The pillow top matress, thick comforter and nice TV are enough for me to return. Although no restaurant, the hotel sits in a good location with many decent dining options close by. The bagged breakfasts are one more way that this hotel tries to meet the needs of the business traveller.

The room and hotel was wonderful, absolutely beautiful. the weekend was a romantic getaway, and even though the hotel could be for families, and business-types as well, it was perfect.

Nice accomodations, beautifully decorated. Great beds. Very nice staff. A complimentary breakfast would have made it perfect. The pool was clean but a little small only up to 4.5 feet.

Not for the squeamish!

I have never rated a hotel before, but felt travelers should know about the conditions of this hotel. We ran into bad weather and checked into this place. The outside and entrance way were beautiful until you got to the rooms. They were unbelievably filthy. The sink in bath was falling off wall and the walls in the room look like they haven't been painted or cleaned in years. Looked like splashes of liquid substance on the walls and carpet was ripped in some places. Beds were quite lumpy and did not sleep well. I would never recommend this place to anyone, unless some cleaning and maintenance we're done to this place. The desk clerk was very helpful and polite and did offer and give me coffee in the morning while checking out. Customer service was excellent, but that's about it.

The heater in the room was not working properly. The bed was just 4 mattresses stacked on top of each other. There was mold along the floor boards by the windows and door. I would not stay there ever again.
