Ham radio convention hotel... Nice!

This hotel is downtown Dayton, with easy on/off access from I-75. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the Dayton downtown streets are kept, and how very quiet it was during the evening hours, Thursday and Friday.
A negative was the remodeling of the hotel's restaurant. Another was no garage elevator, and no one paying attention to parkers taking up two spaces. All in all, I would come back here next year for the biggest ham radio convention in the USA. About 30,000 folks come to Hara's Arena just north of the downtown area.

When i called a few days ahead to confirm my reservation they couldn't find my reservation. The desk clerk said that he would have it faxed it over again to them and then call me to confirm. He never did. I called again a few days later and a second clerk found it after a few minutes of searching. When we arrived the parking garage was unattended and we had to go in to find out that it was full and we were to park across the street. When we went down for breakfast in the morning the restaurant was closed.

The hotel was located close to the AFB and severel restaurants. Was not impressed without the rooms and the cleanliness of the hotel. Was quite surprised to see smoking rooms in Ohio and to have cigarette butts in hallways. Most of the workers at the front desk did not seem to want to help with questions about the area. I would not go back next time in dayton.

This hotel was very nice, friendly helpful staff, very clean,room very comfortable. Beds a little soft for my taste, but otherwise fine. We were on a college tour trip and it was very close to Univ of Dayton...otherwise, there is nothing surrounding the hotel, but it was fine for our purposes. Wish there was complementary breakfast, but would definitely stay there again.

Very nice lobby, staff was great but the rooms were small and there was no complimentary breakfast so I had to go down and buy coffee, and they charge me over 3 dollars a cup, was shocked about that being as nice of a hotel as it was.

Sign was small so it was a little hard to see from the road. Looked like the "Midas Muffler Motel"
Rooms were clean but desk and counter tops had some overlooked spill stains.
Self serve breakfast was good: large clean dining room with fresh fruit and milk, Kellogg cereals, juice machine, toast, bagles, muffins and a waffle maker.

Can't get any closer to the Wright Patterson Museum

The hotel itself was clean and breakfast was the typical continental breakfast. The only drawback is that there is nothing other than the museum around it. If you want to have dinner you have to travel several miles to find a good restaurant.

For the price I think this is a decent place to stay. The only grip I had was that the shower in the room was backed up. Other than that, the room was fine. The location is nice because it's got its own parking lot with ample space, and you are less than a minute from I-75. The front desk staff seemed friendly when I checked in.

We got in super late, set the alarm, and it didn.t go off. We were scrambling to get out by 11 am and if the staff had stopped bothering us...we would have gotten out a lot sooner....I didn.t understand the phone call and the maid knocking every few seconds, while I was trying to finish packing and get out...otherwise it was ok.

This was stop over before flying out of Dayton airport. We needed clean beds and a warm shower for a reasonable price. Days Inn provided all of those, plus a good location for food, gas, a movie and to the airport. I would stay there again.

Very good for the price, which was less than expected. The room was neat, clean and comfortable.
We made use of the kitchenette, and everything worked well. The carpet could have been cleaned better, but everything else was great.

The hotel was in a nice spot. The thing that really bothered me was that when I entered to check in, there were two men in the office with the clerk; they were getting directions. The clerk asked them to wait for a minute so that she could check me in, then proceeded to say my name, room number, and that I was alone out loud in front of the two men. Then, when I went to my room, I noticed there was paper stuffed into the peephole; I was unable to get it out...I realize I am a bit paranoid, but I slept with the ironing board propped against my door to ensure that I would wake up should someone enter...

The only thing I disliked was on the second day they had chicken patties for breakfast instead of the typical bacon, eggs, sausage. I thought that was odd. I didn't like that very much.

Overall, the Courtyard by Marriott Dayton North is like most other Courtyard hotels: clean, comfortable and in general, a nice place to stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We picked this hotel because it was close to both the wedding and relatives homes in Dayton. It is also convenient to the Dayton Airport and many restaurants. Breakfast was adequate but a bit pricey. It had a hot tub (nice!) but the pool was small and shallow (3 feet deep). Only one small elevator and parking is rather limited, but the staff was nice and helpful.

This hotel is convenient to the freeway, clean, staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, pillows are labeled "soft" and "firm", good TV and heat is quiet. Pool and hot tub clean altho' pool was a little cold (as in brrrrrrrrr...). Breakfast had a good selection for the breakfasts that are included in price. Overall, great value!

Great location. Lots of dining choices. Even better than expected price. Very friendly and professional staff. Pool and some exercise equipment were a plus though I didn't find time to use either. TV channels limited. One movie channel available and not very good picture quality. Two TVs in separate rooms with a door would be great for family with kids if more viewing options were available on the TVs. Sopha bed a little uncomfortable (but what sb is?) Hallways an stairwells could use paint and sink drained painfully slow. Bathroom needed a better venting system and as someone who likes a "hot" shower, the shower could never meet my expectations. This might have been for the best as I would have either frozen or been scalded to death before discovering how to operate the very strange faucet controls. Whoever designed those controls should be slapped .... TWICE. Overall good experience and will be checking this hotel for next year's trip to Dayton.

We were switched to a room early in the morning as our room had stains of blood and other dirt on the sheets and spoiled McDonald's food in the microwave. The second night was better, but the room should have been cleaned before renting. Cheap and little value. Free complimentary breakfast was nice to have.

2 lights for main source had plug ins cut off. Told desk & never did get fixed. 2 towels for 5 guests. Ant infestation in bathroom. Pool was nice except for super over chlorination. Alot of shadey guests roaming balcony. Maid service mediocre as did not even make beds. Left clean towels. We had to vacuum our own room. Air conditioner filter filthy & inhibiting cold air. Breakfast nice, Wi Fi good, hair dryer & coffee pot in room nice except after 1 day, coffee not restocked. Just would not ever stay here again, even at price.

Last Second Reservation

I was in town for a couple of days, and made a last second reservation at this hotel. The hotel exceeded my expectations in almost every way. My only issues was with the bed and pillows. It was a foam matterss, and those mini pillows. However, these issues would not stop me from staying there again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good Hotel. Very clean, breakfast was nice. Room was a little warm and couldn't lower the air conditioner temperature. Setting was on 68, but it definitely was warmer than that.

New hotel, delightful, helpful staff. King studio was moderate but sufficient size. Full kitchen nicely appointed with dishes,pots& pans,gagets. Breakfast was the same with left over sausage gravy for 3 days-good, but biscuits sure got stale!
NEED to read & check off choice on inside of ROOM KEY FOLDER. Didn't notice it & as a result only got clean towels 1 out of 3 days; bed never made, room not vacuumed nor trash emptied. Lots of restaurants & shopping nearby. Exercise room,coin operated laundry & free computer in lobby with a printer & Wi-Fi in all rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and the location couldn't have been better but other than that, I would have to say this was a pretty unremarkable property. I thought the decor was very modern but the room layout was terrible. When the fold out couch was in use it was very difficult to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night--you had to crawl over either the end of the fold-out or the end of the bed. The tv was not at an angle that was conducive to watching it from the bed or the couch--i was at a 90 degree angle to both those pieces of furniture. The kitchen was nice and the bathroom spacious. Continental breakfast was fairly unremarkable.

We arrived very late from flight delays.We were greeted by a friendly staff and a great room. Everything is very new and clean! We were here for a family reunion and found these rooms very family friendly. I would stay here again and will look for this hotel chain next time we travel.

I really enjoyey myself at the Marriott. I made some snacks and finger foods. Invited a few friends to my room and watched movies and talked. The only thing that was missing was an oven. I would have cooked all of my food in the room. Other than that, I wish I could have moved in and made it my permanent home. It was so clean and quiet. My next get away will definitely be at the Marriott.
