About a year old, this hotel was clean and well maintained so far. Staff members were courteous and friendly. It's close to Riverside medical center, Ohio State, and several restaurants. Breakfast was strictly ordinary, fitness center has aerobic machines but no dumbbells or stability balls. I didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. My room had a table and chairs, but I had to move the table to use it as a desk. Something in the air at this and some other hotels gives me a headache.

Located at the edge of the OSU campus this hotel is perfect when visiting your student or attending college activities. Clean, breakfast is wonderful, close to shopping as well as the main campuss.

Great place for parents to stay for OSU orientation. Cheaper than most. Only one small pack of tissues on the counter . . . not enough for my cold I was having. Had to get hair dryer and iron from housekeeping.

Close to the University

The experience was great overall for the price range. The room was clean and the staff was nice. The hotel is close to the University, although unless you just like to walk in Columbus weather, I would recommend arranging transportation to the University as the drive alone takes about 5 minutes in good traffic.
Probably the only complaint would be that the room door did not fit snugly in the frame so you could hear "outside" noise pretty easily, but the Hotel is set off the highway so it is only a problem if you have noisy "neighbors".

Not too bad is the best way to describe The Varsity Inn North. The bed was comfortable, which is the most important thing when traveling. But, everything else was ordinary. No breakfast, just coffee at the registration office. It was not plush in any way and whatever you would expect; towels, body lotion, hair dryer, and shampoo was there. Its location is good for OSU events and the price was reasonable. So, if your rate is under $100, you're getting what you've paid for!

Very clean and welcoming. Sink a bit slow to drain. Location central to our needs. Price was right. I read other reviews about noisy trains nearby, but not bothered by them, they seemed to stop after midnight.

University Plaza Hotel and Conference Center is a great choice if you are a buckeye fan. On game day the staff is dressed in osu attire, it gives a great feeling of community with the school.

The reason i selected this hotel/location was the non-availability of rooms in downtown Columbus this weekend--was pleasantly suprised with all aspects of the facility and proximity to downtown. Would definitely stay at this location again based on experience of this first visit, and highly recommend to friends.

The Holiday Inn on the Lane is located directly across the street from The Ohio State University and just 3 miles north of beautiful downtown Columbus. We are less than a 5 minute walk to the Schottenstein Center and Ohio Stadium and less than a 10 minute drive to The Ohio Expo Center home of The Ohio State Fair. Ashley's restaurant, located inside the hotel is open daily from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.
