2 rooms different floors

The biggest complaint I have is that I booked 2 rooms and was given 1 on the 4th floor and 1 on the 8th floor. The hotel manager said that he could not give us rooms beside each other or even on the same floor, even though I had book and PAID for these rooms months in advance.

Not what I would have expected. The room walls were filthy, the shower did not function properly and the room, which was immediately next to the elevator, rattled all night long.

great value, convenient location

The front desk was extremely helpful and accommodating and rounded out a pleasant stay. They offered free downtown shuttle service which we used once. We were in a roomy 2-bedroom suite. It is a convenient, affordable location, near several bus lines, eateries, and downtown. There is also a small in-house cafe. We would stay there again.

Residence Inn Downtown Cincinatti = Perfection!

  • Jenn
  • May 16, 2012
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, obviously recently renovated. The king bed suite was very spacious, practically two hotel rooms in one. The location of the hotel is convenient, with the free way entrance close by. The surrounding area is beautiful, with a lovely courtyard in the front of the hotel. ALL of my staff encounters were very pleasant, a very rare thing to say. The breakfast buffet was awesome, with lots of opportunities to choose a healthy breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel.

Historic hotel combines old-world charm with modern-day amenities This grand hotel in the heart of Cincinnati is on the National Register of Historic Places and provides guests with larger-than-average rooms and unique architectural touches, like a marble and walnut grand staircase in the lobby. Traditional afternoon tea is served daily, yet modern-age amenities, such as Wi-Fi in the lobby, ensure 21st century service. Highlights National Register of Historic Places propertySmoke-free throughoutFree Wi-Fi Rooms The 146 guest rooms in this non-smoking downtown hotel reflect its rich heritage. Many have fireplaces, balconies, and European-style bathrooms and tubs. Rooms are larger than average, ranging from about 300 square-feet up to 1,300 square-feet for a suite. Features Guests at the Cincinnatian Hotel might feel more like they are in old-world Europe than in a Midwestern city. The lobby exudes classic grandeur with a marble and walnut grand staircase, but free Wi-Fi available in the lobby, guest rooms, and meeting spaces keeps guests connected.   A 1987 renovation polished up the Cincinnatian and created some extra large guest rooms, but the old-world charm is intact.
