I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the room. The room furnishings were new. The bathroom was large. The beds were comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful.

Just 6 miles north of the Akron Canton Airport, this Red Roof is in the center of it all. We are just 6 miles from the University of Akron and the new Infocision Stadium. We are just 10 miles from Akron Children’s Medical Center, Summa Hospital, and Akron General. Family activities include a visit to the Akron Zoo (7 miles away), Pro Football Hall of Fame (13 miles away), Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens (10 miles away), or the home of the International Soap Box Derby at Derby Downs (10 miles away). Goodyear Corporate Headquarters is just a 15 minute drive and we are within walking distance of various shops and restaurants.

Wife and I were on an impromptu trip. We needed a room to crash in, but knew we were going to get in late, and leave early, so I didn't want to spend a lot of cash. I was able to look at the closest area hotels and book something in the inexpensive range that wasn't rated horribly.
The room was a smoking room, which I wasn't thrilled with, nor did I see any indicator in the choices whether or not that's what I was going to get. The room didn't smell great, but I've been in much worse. Also, the sheets on one of the beds had a brownish/reddish mark on it. Not sure if it was dirt or a stain. No matter, the other bed sheets were clean enough.
The shower was clean and hot, so we were happy with what we got.

Stayed here during a trip to visit one of the area's graduate schools. Although nothing special, it was a decent place to stay the night. The decor could use an upgrade, but no major problems with the room. Everything was clean, it was fairly quiet, and the front desk staff were present and available.

Our room was clean and the shower seemed to have been recently renovated. The free breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, and the hotel is within minutes of many dining and shopping options.

The non-smoking rooms on the 2nd floor are much nicer than the smoking rooms on the third.

I've stayed here five times in the past few years when I've had to make business trips to Barberton. There are lots of options in this area, but the Comfort Inn has a homey feel that has kept me coming back.
Nothing fancy, but this place has everything I need while on a business trip: clean rooms, Internet access, coffee and good breakfast bar, and great location for getting to the Interstate.
The staff is wonderfully welcoming and helpful.
