Likes: Sleep number bed, best heater/AC unit I have had in years – quiet and easy to control temp, remodeled room, good restaurant, accommodating staff. Dislikes: Early risers have to wait ≈10 minutes for hot water to reach 10th floor and TV is ok but no FOX news - most channels fuzzy – could be the TV. Note: Remodeled rooms 10th floor and up. Heard from locals and others you don’t want an old room.

I chose this hotel because of the reviews I had read. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to those reviews. Because of a recent surgery, I didn't get up and going until about noon the morning after my arrival. I stopped at the front desk and asked if I could get the room cleaned. The front desk was none too happy that I had put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door and then actually asked to have the room cleaned. Furthermore, the commode didn't flush. I asked, at the same time as above, if they could check out the commode. When I got back to the room, it was cleaned but the commode hadn't yet been repaired. When I called downstairs, she said, "oh, I didn't know you wanted it looked at"!!! What part of not flushing is there to not understand. As a result, my departure for the evening was delayed a 'bit - but it's the principal. Also, based on the reviews, I was expecting a nicer room (since the review mentioned that the rooms were recently redone). I definitely think I got an older room . . . the one with dirty carpet, non-functioning commode and wallpaper that was peeling in several places and had mold on the back due to the humidity in the room. [...] Bottom line . . not the worst experience . . not the best . . not even average. Just a 'bit below.

My experience in the hotel was less than in past years. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. Great location.
However the overall appearance of the hotel has gone down in recent years and the breakfast buffet was acceptable. Too many days I had to wait for the buffet food to be restocked, but it was always hot and correct when it got there
I would say that for the cheap cost, and for a short business trip, this hotel is great.

We checked-in at Radisson Akron primarily because it is on our way to Pittsburgh. It took a while before we were attended by the person at the reception area although there was another guy who chose not to say hi. So I guess hospitality is not really well encouraged. When we went in to our room, it was superficially neat. Although I noticed when I turned on the air, it was old and a little loud. I thought it was like that at first, but I was mistaken. It was like that the entire night. I went to the bathroom to take a shower, and there were molds by the tub on the side. It was like a foot long, black mold. and I notice that on the rim of the toilet too. I don't know why I bothered looking, but that something they might consider to make sure its cleanliness. Also, shampoo and conditioner seems like 50% water. The bed, however, is very comfortable, though I need to press the sleep-by-number remote really hard because it doesn't detect the person lying down. Layout of the gym isn't that appealing either. I was expecting a lot I guess considering it is a Radisson, but come to think of it,we paid $65 for a night's stay so it's not that bad afterall.

I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the room. The room furnishings were new. The bathroom was large. The beds were comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful.

We were greeted by friendly front desk staff. The room was clean and neat, but is showing signs of wear; the bathroom floor tiles had missing grout, the shower control was troublesome. However, the bed was comfortable, the furniture was in good shape and towels fresh.
They have a display announcing the planned renovation of the property so it will be in top condition when done.
