We went back to Saratoga for a night. I hadn't been there in 15 years since college! The town has changed! The Hilton was a perfect location right on Broadway. It was quiet (since it was the off season) and clean.

This hotel was driving distance to downtown Saratoga Springs and Saratoga Park. The hotel was clean and had all the basic fixings for a comfortable stay. My room seemed to be missing a small table that is very common in most motel rooms. There were two chairs sitting next to each other that would go with a table, but no table to work on or place a bag on? It was a basic room with minimum extras, but it was clean and comfortable for the night I stayed.

Staying in Saratoga Springs during racing season can be a very expensive and tough to find a quality place to stay. The Courtyard Marriot through Orbitz was very reaonable and the room was nice and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable experience.

The location of the hotel is the best feature.
As the name suggests, it is right in down town Saratoga Springs.
The amenities are what you would expect from a motel, and the room was comfortable and quite clean.
It was pretty inexpensive so I really wasn't disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Downtowner. It was on the main drag in the heart of the restuarant/bar area of Saratoga. We could walk everywhere. Hotel was of average quality for an older hotel. The staff of was very pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again as it was a great bargain.

Hotel was old but was very clean, spacious and comfortable. One of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. The staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was excellent. Easy walk to downtown Saratoga. Price was also good. Can't imagine why someone would stay at the Holiday Inn across the street instead of here.

easy two hour drive get-a-way from the kids and family! Lovely older hotel, friendly staff, comfortable room with huge king size bed. Breakfast was one of the best for "included" continental breakfast types. Easy walk to main shops and restaurants on Broadway, Less than 25 minutes easy stroll pace. Would stay there again.

We went to SPAC for Maroon 5 and Train which was awesome. Hampton Inn & Suites was a very nice hotel, our room was quite large, but I don't know if all rooms are like that. The breakfast was decent with a nice setting to eat in (eggs, sausage, bagel, and waffles.) The hotel is pretty close to Broadway being the street before. We walked to SPAC and back, should of took a taxi or drove. The pool area is very nice too. We ate at Forno Bistro not too far away, it was very good, check it out. Irish Times was really good too with their corned beef sandwich, it will fill you up. You can eat on the roof too. Maestro was decent too.

The room I got at the Grand Union Motel in Saratoga Springs was comfortably cozy, which is to say, not spacious but okay for my needs as a traveling performer. The bathroom had some minor cleanliness issues but I've seen worse in my years as a road comic.
The place is up the road from the town's main drag, just far enough, though, that I didn't feel comfortable walking it.
The mineral spring baths are a very cool plus for the place and that makes up for a good deal of the moteliness about it. There was actually a lot more moteliness than there was grandness.
As far as value goes, you get what you pay for and at the price, I was not at all dissatisfied.

Staff was most friendly and receptive - they aim to please. We stayed in the Grant room with the pool table and large jacuzzi tub, both of which were used. The room was very spacious and the bed quite comfortable. Internet reception was very challenging, therefore we went to the downstairs parlour for all our wireless connection. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a variety of choices.

This hotel was in a great location for what we needed. Will stay again when we are in the area. The only downside was that there are no refridgerators in the room that aren't suites.

Hotel is immaculately clean and very comfortable. Great beds, furnishings, brand new TVs, and lots of hot water. The continental breakfast included in the room price was perfectly adequate and included scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffle station, etc. We spent only one night in Saratoga to go the race track, and chose this hotel because they did not have a 2 (or 3) night minimum on the holiday weekend. It suited our needs perfectly.

Great Location loud elevator.

The location is great if you are going to the racetrack and close for you to walk into town without having to drive. Staff was nice. Bar was nice and quiet and the bartender was very nice. The room was nice and a nice size but we were located next to the elevator and it made noise all night. It was really pretty annoying. Maid knocked several times on our last morning even after I told her I was checking out soon. We got a great deal because it was Labor Day. I have seen what they charge during the middle of race season and I don't think I would pay that amount.

The bad and the good

[...] When we arrived on Friday they gave us a room which could not accomodate three women. Only two double beds when we had booked a room with two doubles and a pull out sofa. They suggested we use a roll away bed - appropriate for a child. Messed up the four day weekend - could not move us to a room with sufficient beds until Sunday night, as it was Jazz fesitval weekend which is why we were there. On friend could not join us as there was no place for her to sleep. They were nasty - Friday night ...nicer Sunday night they changed our room. [...] They did not offer ANY reduction in rate charged. ALSO - claimed they had no COFFEE pots in room thpe they gave us - unblievable - we had to go out and buy one and that the indoor pool and sauna ONLY for guests with "suite" rooms. Although they gave us one of those on Sunday night --- they claim these are the only ones which include sofa beds. It is a nice place if you get what you booked, in advacnce, for a weekend which everyone knows is sold out. Is there any way you can help us with this? We choose a more expensive place for the amenities and paid more than other places for the ability to accomodate three adults.

Lovely old world charm. The grounds were spectacular. The room was nice and the beds were great. The hotel is old and in a state park and that is what gives it it's charm.
We had a great deal that included breakfast and
two mineral baths all for $106.00. I would definatley book there again.. Staff friendly and attentive.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, very clean, comfortable. Our package included breakfast which was excellent. We also had a mineral bath included, which was an unexpected great perk. We walked to our show at SPAC and couldn't have been more pleased.
