We used our weekend as a jump off point for seeing 2 of our sons at a summer camp North of Plattsburg. The stay was not bad - The beds are VERY comfortable (I like a "softer" mattres) Rooms were acceptable for what we paid. Resturants were only a short drive.

My wife and I visited family and where very comfortable. The only thing I can think of is maybe an iron in the room. The comparison to other trips we have taken the rooms where very clean. The cleaning person did an excellent job on the room. Very good experience.

very nice hotel. room was clean,everything worked, walls were a but thin but tolerable. continental breakfast was great and food was hot and fresh. will be back soon. The only issue was the snow removal which might not be the hotel but who they contract, I would replace them. If it was the hotel not a very good job at all.

Just an hour from beautiful Lake Placid and only 10 miles from the breathtaking Adirondack Mountains, the La Quinta Inn & Suites Plattsburgh is the place to stay in upstate New York.
Located two miles west of downtown in the heart of Plattsburgh's shopping district, you are only a block sprawling Champlain Centre. Great restaurants are all around including Butcher Block across the street and Anthony's, a block away. From here, visit such attractions as Wilder Farm Museum and Kent-Delord House Museum. Good location, many restaurants nearby. Room is clean but does not have refrigerator, microwave or safe. The indoor pool is very nice. Especially sauna. Breakfast room is very crowed. Have to wait a long time to get waffles.

The hotel shows its age. It was one of the first "modern" motels built in Plattsburgh. It is always quiet and as clean as it can be. They seem busy. Of all the motels in Plattsburgh, it has the most reasonable rate. I did not receive any discount using Orbitz and had paid the same rate the week before without using Orbitz

This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel within the last 2 weeks. The first time, we had no problem's, LOVED our King Suite! Unfortunatly when we had returned with our children, the room they gave us (which is located next to the room we had stayed at previously) had a ant infestation in the bathroom. IF we would have realized it before we were all settled in our room and hadn't rearranged all the furniture to make room for our kids since THIS king suite wasn't as nice nor big as our previous one, (which I don't understand anyway, there both KING SUITES!) we would have moved room's in an instant. But we had already been there for almost 3 1/2 hours made it stay-able. I immediatly notified the front dest which only sent housekeeping down to 'look at it'. Then the next morning I went to the Front desk to ask if they could mop our floor's before we showered and it took almost an hour AFTER housekeeping arrived for them to mop for us. (Who want's to step out of the shower with ant's on the floor?)

The room appeared to be of higher quality. The room was also clean. At night the noise from the hallway and room above was unacceptable. I could hear the floor joices above with every movement. This hotel had suffered previous fire damage and I do not believe it is structurally sound. The pool area was nice but overcrowded. Non-guests can use the facility for a fee and this creates overcrouding.
