Description
Located on the St. Lawrence River on a 14 acre site, the Quality Inn Gran-View offers a beautiful country setting. Enjoy a Canadian sunset or dine at the Gran-View. The hotel now offers complimentary high speed DSL and free wireless access in all guestrooms. Half of our rooms have high speed internet and half have wireless internet access.

Nice place

The Inn had a beautiful location right on the river, close to town and the Fort de la presetation. The restaurant was fantastic. What we didn't like about the inn was the drain didn't work in the tub and the sheets were really damp almost wet. Which made for a very uncomfortable night.

Guests have the choice of staying in one of our rooms at the elegant shore side hotel, our modern log cabin with townhouse and family units, or century manor house with one and two room suites with or without jacuzzis. Step back from the busy hustle of everyday life and enjoy an area of beauty and nature at the Stone Fence Resort.

Great view

The hotel is right on the St. Lawrence River, with a great view. Rooms are clean and up to date, staff is helpful and courteous. The only draw back was breakfast was described in the booking as a hot buffet, it's really just a updated contiental and not very good. Eggs were rubbery, you take the french toast, unwrapp them and pop them in the toaster, and the hash browns were way over done. Go to Phillips Diner in Ogdensburg for Breakfast, but enjoy your room.

The Stone Fence was nice and clean. It was the perfect place to sleep before crossing the border into Canada the next day.
