We stated at the Gannsevoort hotel for three nights in December. The hotel was nice and in a good location. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was ok, we were near the elevator so it was exceptionally noisy which was tough with a 4 year old. The only issue we had was not all of the TV channels were working and it took two calls to engineering for them to fix it.
Would stay there again.

Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die Lage ist wirklich super, ein paar stassen rauf und du bist im central paark, paar strassen nach rechts ist times square, rund herum gute restaurants und supermärkte.¨
Es ist einwenig laut draussen aber damit muss man rechnen wenn man nach nyc geht.
die zimmer sind zwar klein aber super gemütlich und haben alles was man braucht und schlussendlich ist man ja eh nur zum schlaffen im hotelzimmer.
SEHR ZU EMPFEHLEN!! vorallem für junge leute

I can not say enough about this hotel. The Washington Jefferson was a find. Personable service, extremely clean, and I am picky about cleanliness, great location. I would only mention that the mattress was quite soft and a little lumpy in case you are a person who likes a firm mattress. MIght be time to get some new thicker ones. I took other writers' suggestions and asked for a room in the back. It was very quiet. This is my new place to stay in NYC.

The helpful staff was welcoming and recognized that we were in a rush to get to a show and helped us along the way! This location was easy to access and provided a pad to quickly get around to attractions for a quick holiday visit to NYC. Would stay again.

Staying at the Kimberly was a very nice experience. The entire staff was extremely helpful and caring. The location was very convenient to many attractions the city has to offer. The entrance to the subway only a block away. Our suite was very comfortable, clean and spacious. In my opinion, a good value for your money.

Das Zimmer hätte für drei Personen etwas grösser sein dürfen und nachts war es ziemlich laut (Lüftung vom Nebengebäude). Die Lage war super, das Personal nett und hilfsbereit. Am Morgen gab es jeweils gratis Kaffee, Tee und Äpfel.

Easy to get to through the midtown tunnel! Quick walk to 5th avenue. The rooms were clean and sizable and the price was right. Would recommend.

Location couldnt be better, overall I would greatly recommend this hotel. These were the only cons.
The Bar doesnt open until 6:30 on saturday night. we wanted to go to the hotel bar before dinner but that didnt happen.
The AC in the room didnt work. It was set at 62 but the room was 74 degrees.
Some of the cable channels were fuzzy including ESPN so that was not great.
Other than that though, I highly recommend

From the moment I arrived, until the moment I checked out, the service was awesome. My room was always clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was about in the middle of everything. Close to Central park and not too far from Time square. The standard room size was perfect for a single person, being that majority of my vacation was spent exploring the city. The ambiance/atmoshphere was unique. It had a modern style that was warm and elegant. Free wi-fi was also a plus! I had a great experience and would do it all over again.

The staff at Park South Hotel are friendly and helpful. They continued customer service during Hurricane Sandy, after the hotel had lost electricity, was wonderful. Not once did I see any hotel staff lose their composure. They helped guests find other hotels to stay at, provided meals and internet access so that guests could contact their loved ones or make travel plan changes. The hotel staff demonstrated their professionalism in the most challenging of circumstances that was no fault of their own. I'd stay here again as the hotel is in a great location and is comfortable.

Although the room was quite small, it somehow squeezed in several amenities such as a mini fridge, wardrobe, table, chairs, etc., and was quite attractive. The bathroom was relatively larger than the room and modern looking. We wanted to have a glass of wine before heading out to window shop (afterall, it is the holidays), and we couldn't charge the room service tab (which by the way was $25 for two small glasses of wine), could only pay by cash - and we ordered/repeated the order for one glass to be a spritzer and they goofed on that. Staff was helpful, cheerful, and accommodating. We had left our keys in the room and called as soon as we realized it. The keys were "found" and at the front "lobby" location when we got back. Great locale, especially at holiday time.

The HOTEL looks amazing .. very chic, elegant. The room was incredible. It was just a walk .. from the nearest subway -- but the plus is that you get a feel for how locals live (Near Hells Kitchen area with many great spots to eat). They have a Michelin restaurant on site (didn't get to eat there though). Nice lounge upstairs (saw people hanging there but i didn't get to make it).
The honking of the cars at night was annoying though ..
Staff was great EXCEPT when I was waiting to pick up my bags from the concierge.. I had to wait 15 minutes -- they were not organized and I was rushed for the airport. Then they told me to take a cab or I'd never make it. I had it timed perfect(my flight was 2 hours ) but after their 15 minute delay I was too frustrated and had them call me a cab. The front desk lady seemed irritated I even questioned getting a cab.

Fun hotel , fab design, no multilingual staff , very crowded

The Dream Downtown is a wonderful design fun hotel, NOT for families or kids. If you want a quiet stay don't stay here. The lobby is very crowded all the time (though the crowd are models and young good looking people) same as elevators, common areas.
The front desk people are very nice but they don't speak another language that is not english, for my parents it was a NIGHTMARE to ask them anything, also room service people and house keeping only speak korean or english.
Their restaurant Marble Lane is pretty good, also their Phd rooftop bar.
Bronze rooms are soooooooo tiny , more tiny than in Paris , overpriced for what they offer.
Silver rooms have a more decent size.
Bath products are from ETRO, that a plus.
Location is perfect between Chelsea and the Meatpacking.
Overall it was a good stay because I like this type of hotels but my parents didnt like it as much.

Back home for a funeral, but the stay was comfortable, my only complaint is the parking, there isn't any!!!!! They need to arrange something $55.00 per day is highway robbery. Other than that is was ok.

We stayed here because it was close to family. The location is on the upper west side close to many restaurants, markets, and there are metro stops within several blocks. It was very convienent for us and the room was clean and quiet.

Excellent emplacement & resto

J'ai séjourné dans le New Yorker Hotel pendant 7 nuits, au mois de décembre 2012. Ce que j'ai particulièrement apprécié étaient l'emplacement de l'hôtel et son restaurant, le "Tick Tock". L'hôtel se trouve un peu à l'écart de la folie new yorkaise tout en y étant accessible facilement et rapidement (1 block de Macy's et des rues marchandes et 2 stations de métro toutes proches). De plus, fait très pratique, il se trouve presque en face de Pennsylvania Station, la gare où s'arrête le train qui relie Jamaica (hub principal où amène le airtrain de l'aéroport) à Manhattan. Le resto de l'hôtel, un "diner" typique à l'américaine est génial car ouvert 24h/24, servant de la bonne nourriture à prix tout à fait raisonnable. Nous n'avons jamais été déçus!
Les critiques que je donnerais à l'hôtel seraient: pas de "safe" dans la chambre, pas de bouilloire dans la chambre, personnel pas très au courant des choses pour informer les touristes.

We stayed for a full and busy week. The hotel is perfectly located bang in the centre of town.
We upgraded to a high floor with Empire State view, only $10 a night extra....but what a view! Well worth it.
Staff were very polite and helpful. Information desk arranged our return taxi to JFK and checked us in online, very reasonable rates and very efficient.
Top Tip - ask for coffee/tea facility in your room, if you dont ask you dont get and its free!
We may have missed it but a Hotel Bar would have been nice but we didnt go short as everything is on the doorstep.
Fully recommend staying to anyone.

Nice hotel on UES

The Bentley is a nice, clean modern hotel on the UES. The 62nd Street location is perfect however be aware that it is 6 long cross-town blocks to Central Park.
Our room was very spacious but lacked a few basic staples such as a pen and wine glasses. We didn't drink the wine from the mini-bar but if we had wanted to we would have had to use the cups from the bathroom.
Correcting simple oversights like this would make the Bentley an extremely attractive place to stay considering the reasonable rates.

Overall this hotel was above average. The staff was great and welcoming upon arriving.
The furnishings in the room we a bit dated and worn. The built-in around the TV came off its tracks when I open it and the couch in the room has a "pleather" feel to it.
The location is the best part in my eyes, just a short walk to Grand Central made my experience.
Overall good, just needs to have a few touch ups here and there...

Our room was spacious enough for 2 people. Fairly clean. Location of hotel was good, near all the places we wanted to visit and near Grand Central Station. Disappointed no coffee maker in room. No vending machine for ice on floor, had to request ice, got it once, second time we requested, the ice never arrived. Lobby staff were not very attentative or friendly when we first checked in, next day a little better reception. We had 3 large pieces of heavy luggage, no door man to help open door, or take up to our room.

Very friendly helpful staff. This is the antithesis of those designer hotels. Old New York charm and it works. Very clean & comfortable. Top of the Town bar restaurant has classic unbeatable NY views.

Very affordable place to place the hotel itself is
not so glamorous however clean and comfortable
within walking distance to subway. there are some decent restaurants close by and a grocery
across the street. I was very surprised at the size of the room BIG. The location was a little isolated but found it was quiet at night so sleeping was easier very little street noise. I was able to get a cab easily but mainly would walk the four or five blocks to the subway which was no big deal. Only problem I experienced was the coffee maker in room did not work and the hotel did not have any self serve coffee unitil730 am! by then I was already gone each day

Room was on the small side, but clean, quiet, and comfortable (especially the bed). Bathroom with nice modern fixtures. Coffee and tea available all day in the lobby, which was another plus. Staff was among the friendliest of any hotel I've experienced (in New York or anywhere else for that matter). Would definitely return.

And very comfortable bed.
