Picked this hotel for it's location and found the place pretty nice. It isn't quiet (nightclub on first floor, thin walls), but it was stylish decorated and spacious for a NY hotel.
I would stay here again.

A relative good hotel
-
Minh D
- Dec 24, 2012
The best thing about the hotel is its location, which is only 3 minutes walking from the train (subway) station. The B-D line in this station would take you to most of the attraction sites (shopping centers on 34rd street, 42nd street, Times Square, Central Park, etc). It will also take 7-10 mins walking to Soho, where you can find quite some fashion stores as well. However, if you really want to be in the center and can walk to the fashion districts, I'd not recommend this hotel. You can book another in mid-town for $25/night more (I used to book one and then cancelled because my friend recommend to stay in Chinatown).
The 2nd best thing about the hotel is the bathroom. It's clean, water is hot, strong and the bath space is quite roomy. At the end of the day, I think a good shower is what you really really need.
The bed is quite comfortable, I could get some really good sleep here. Overall, I do not really have any complains. I did not need any help from the staff but I saw them helping other guests quite enthusiastically.

Clean and Convenient
-
Mindy M.
- Oct 22, 2012
I stayed here 3 nights on a business trip. The location was very convenient with lots of dining and entertainment options within steps. There was a theater right next door which I unfortunately didn't have time to check out.
The room was small as you except in Manhattan. I wouldn't recommend more than 2 travelers/room. Everything was clean and sort of base minimum that I'd expect. I was on the second floor which was barely above street level but despite all the sirens, I slept well. I did run the fan all night for some white noise.
Defining this hotel as "boutique" does seem like a stretch but they offered free ipod checkouts with walking tours which was a neat perk. I definitely wish I'd had time to try one out.
I wouldn't say it's a must-stay but I'd stay there again so long as the price was right.

This is an inexpensive hotel and decent for the business traveler. Honestly I was expecting a little bit more modern boutique flair from the pictures and a name like the GEM... However it was perfectly acceptable for the price. Would I stay here again? If the price is right - maybe, but I prefer others...

We liked the Comfort Inn because it was convenient to the subway and was within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping and sights we wanted to see. The included breakfast was more than we needed - my husband loved the waffles. There was free WiFi that worked well. The room was small and the lobby is not somewhere you would sit and chat with friends, but we only were there to sleep at night, and the bed was comfortable. We will go back the next time we are visiting our son in New York.

3 of us stayed here for one night. The hotel is immaculately clean and very comfortable- but small- beds. I liked the location, right where Chinatown and little Italy intersect. I recommend Pellegrinos for dinner, up the street. An easy walk to several subway stops, and you can easily hail a cab on any nearby street. The cab from penn station was like $10. Very safe area and good hotel security at night. There is a parking deck next door. 2 breakfast vouchers for a nearby cafe were included but we didn't use them. Cable tv. Great hot shower pressure. The room is small which I don't care about, but some people prefer bigger spaces. You don't come to Manhattan to stay inside. My only complaint is that we heard everything from the hallways. I would both recommend and stay here again.

We went for an overnight shopping/visit to family. We had a nice sized room with the most comfortable beds(2 queens) overlooking the park. It was far from the action of times square but a welcome relief from the crowds. Little Italy was a 5 minute walk. Parking right next door to the hotel plus a coupon for 2 free breakfasts close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even let us check in early! The only negative I have to say is you can hear the toilets flushing from close by rooms, but it was more of an observation than an annoyance for one night. I would stay there again!
