The suite we had at the Crowne Plaza was perfect! The floor we were on was adults ONLY!! Very quiet and relaxing. All the shops of Lake Placid were only a few steps away. We will definately return to this hotel next time we are in placid!

The stay here was wonderful. The food was good including room service. The views from the room and loby were great! The only down side was the room bed was like sleeping on a rock.
The location was also why i picked the Hotel. Just a short walk down to main street and the shuttle buss will take you everywhere else in town.
Compaired to the other places in town we stayed at this is the place we keep comming back to.

Staff is very courteous. Most rooms have fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub are clean. Rooms are clean but this is an older facility so things are worn.
Great place to sleep but not a place you want to spend a lot of time. Plenty to do in the area anyway. Location is great. Minutes to everything you need.
Breakfast gets an A for effort. But you might want to pass.

Staff was friendly and effiicient. No hasssels checking in or out. Room was ready when I arrived and was as promised. Parking was a bit tight once the rooms were all full. Had to use a handicap spot one night or park on the street. Overall,,it was a good stay.

We were stopping in Lake Placid on our trip through Andirondacks and we were happy to select this hotel. Very convenient location for visit in the village and local hiking and skiing, yes they opened the slopes day after Thanksgiving. Clean room and bath, courteous guest attendants, splendid view on the Mirror lake and the mountains around! You can use all amenities of the "parent" HIgh Picks hotel next door. The only confusion was to find the hotel (no clear name seen from the road) and then you need to go/drive across the street to check in. Room furniture upholstery could be replaced.

Room was very clean and comfortable and indeed provided a very picturesque view of Mirror Lake as the name suggests. Very convenient access to all downtown Lake Placid attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice room, great bathroom, great location

The hotel is centrally located in Lake Placid and part of the reason we picked it is it's dog-friendly. It's mid-range for Lake Placid in price, not at the lowest level but not at the ultra-luxury level either. The bathrooms are contemporary, with huge showers. The rooms are fairly large, have been recently udpdated and most have beautiful views of mountains and Mirror lake. The beds are really comfortable and there's free wifi. The Dancing Bears restaurant is fine.

The Golden Arrow was a great hotel to stay in for my business trip. It was quiet, comfortable and was the perfect setting. My only complaints are that they were having the entrance repaved and it was very difficult to figure out how to get into the front lobby. More directional signs would have been helpful. Also, after running around to figure out where the entrance was, my room keys didn't work so I had to come all the way back from the farthest wing of the hotel on the 5th floor. The staff was very helpful once they received my complaint and even sent someone with me to make sure I got into my room.

Upon arrival, front desk clerk said I had booked the room twice but because this was not a very busy time, he would not charge me for the second booking. Strange as I had booked only once. So the welcome greeting was a bit strange. You can get the same accommodation at lower price nearby, but not on lakefront, which in April is not that necessary. Its adjoining restaurant "Generations" serves much better food than the decor would suggest.

The Pine Inn is the historical hotel built in 1900s. The room are individually decorated by this family owned hotel located in downtown. With a great location, there is shopping, skiing and trails nearby. Free wireless Internet in the restaurant and lobby of the hotel.The Pines Inn is a non smoking hotel.No pets allowed.

Simple, Clean, Comfortable, Convenient! :)

My husband & I needed a room in Lake Placid for 1 night. The Pines Inn was able to accommodate this as where MANY of the local establishments REQUIRE 2 nights minimum (ridiculous). The location is great! You can easily walk to the 'main strip'. We thought the lobby area was welcoming and decor was true to the adirondacks, which we love. Our room had a Queen bed, side tables with lamps, an alarm clock, arm chair, desk with chair, TV, large closet and private bath. The shower was small and it took a few minutes for the water to heat up but there was plenty of it. Our room was clean. There were no noise issues & we slept well. I was sad to go the next day. We didn't get a chance to use the gym/spa area. Our interaction with staff was minimal but those we met with were very friendly.
If you are looking for a simple, clean, comfortable & convenient place to stay - this is it. We will be back!!!

The hotel is a well maintained old building, which we found charming, but don't expect the latest and greatest in amenities.
The location is a 2 min walk from the main street, but does not have a view of the lake.
Jill was very helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us on local tourist attractions.

Staff quick to correct accommodation.

We had reserved a non-smoking room, and in fact, when we arrived, we were informed that the entire hotel was non-smoking. However, upon entering our room, we were overwhelmed with a deep smoke scent that permeated everything. We immediately expressed our dissatisfaction at the front desk and due to a cancellation, we were offered another room...probably one of the nicest rooms and views in the place...and no smell of smoke. They seemed quick to please, however, I have to wonder...what if the place had been full and no other rooms available? If the hotel is indeed smoke free, for how long has it been? Have they not had time to do renovations to get rid of the smell? In addition, we miss the old bar lounge area with the beautiful glass window area...hope they re-do this area soon as the current bar area has no view whatsoever.

We were in town for the Ironman Lake Placid and the Lodge could not have been more accomodating to the athletes and their families. Shuttle rides continuously into town on the day of the race and a late night "Ironman Menu"
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The Mirror Lake Inn has a very friendly and accomodating staff that understand the importance of pleasing their guests. The hotel's location allows for easy walking to town and the Lake Placid marina. The overall facility is very clean and the decor is an elegant victorian style with beautiful fireplaces and wood paneling.

This historic hotel is situated right in the center of Lake Placid village. The hotel right in the middle of the best shopping and dining Lake Placid has to offer. For the convenience of our guests the Northwoods Inn has an excellent three-meal restaurant with outdoor dining/ a game room/ and a spacious- comfortable lobby where guest can relax and socialize. The Northwoods Inn is an all suite property including extended stay suites with kitchenettes. Our lakeside rooms offer spectacular views of Mirror Lake and the Adirondack mountains. ok place to stay great location. old hotel but lots of history.big rooms need to update the air conditioning. We were stopping for the night on the way home, lots to see and do in Lake placid

Prague Motor Inn is a family operated Inn which started in 1956 by the Lejcek family. We cater to individuals, families and small groups and are located directly in the village of Lake Placid on Route 73 just over half a mile form the Olympic arena and speed skating oval. Most Olympic venues and other popular attractions are only minutes away. We are situated on 2 1/2 acres of land bordering on the Chubb River on one side and Route 73. Our landscape features mostly lawns, trees, & flower gardens, a dam across the Chubb River forms a beautiful pond, which gives you a feeling of being in the country and yet we are only a minute from the Main Street. Most of our units are back from the highway and along with our pool area offer a beautiful view of the Chubb River and the Sentinel Mountain Range. During the warmer months we offer a picnic area with BBQ fire pit, which includes firewood for cookouts or just to sit around and relax and enjoy a fire outside under the White Pines.We offer comfortable up to date, quite rooms, cottages and spacious suites some with stone, wood burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, balconies and kitchenettes. We provide all linens, chambermaid service, firewood and our kitchenettes are fully furnished with refrigerators /freezers, electric ranges and ovens, microwave ovens, dinnerware, cookware, silverware, coffeemakers & toasters. All units are fully air-conditioned, have color cable TV, phones, alarm clocks, fridge/microwaves & self-control electric heat and we are pet friendly and our large open grounds offer ample space to exercise your pet. Description
Spruce Lodge was built in the early 1900s. We are guessing around 1910. It was purchased by my grandparents in 1949. My grandfather traveled a lot for his job and my grandmother stayed in Lake Placid and ran Spruce Lodge as a tourist home where breakfast was not an option. We have over an acre and a half of property which borders a large pond at the back of the property. Check-in is at 2 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions. As a bed and breakfast property, the Front Desk hours will vary guests should contact the property to find out more information. To contact the property, use the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking.
