Went to tour Cornell. Hotel was close, but not in walking distance. We were extremely happy with our room. It was very clean and fresh. The staff was nice. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice selection of foods. Room was fairly quiet, except for some noise in the hall early in the evening. We recommend the Hampton Inn at Ithaca.

the decor and fixtures are dated with some peeling wallpaper, but don't be deterred. The room was large with a decent bathroom and a coffee maker. The atmosphere was nice, the room comfortable, and the staff helpful. There is no doubt this is value for money.

Nicely appointed room with comfortable bed. The room was clean and the flat screen tv was perfect. 24 hour coffee and tea were a nice touch and the morning travelers breakfast was good. We were close to many restaurants and the the downtown commons area, where we found a great sports bar to enjoy the Giants playoff victory over the Packers. The beer, the food, and the atmosphere were just what we were looking for when the temperature was in the single digits and we had just finished a day on the wine trail.

I was looking for a place in close proximity to the college and with a decent rate. It could have been a little closer to downtown. The rate,however, was good so that was the tradeoff. Still, I was surprised it didn't have an elevator. Overall, the accommodations were
fine. The king bed felt good after our long drive up from Pennsylvania where we visited family. The front desk staff could have been a lot friendlier. We live in a tourism destination and hotel staff tends to be friendly.

Considering the price I was pleased that the room was clean, the bedding in good shape, the shower towels large and fluffy. The TV worked well. The complimentary breakfast was pretty slim, with just plain white bagels, tiny muffins, and frozen pancakes for warm up in the microwave. Coffee from a thermos, milk in a gallon jug in the frig, and apple and orange juice from a dispensing machine. The desk clerk was helpful to a patron who asked to borrow some tools.

Very comfortable and clean hotel room. Good space and the staff is very accommodating. Only complaint is that the pipes clang when the hot water comes up in the shower in the next room. Keep the cookies coming!

We had reserved and paid for two queen size beds and were given a room with only one. When we complained, we were told that anyone booking a room through a third party had to take what they were given and that there were no other room available.

Thanksgiving Stay

My family was just spending the night during the Thanksgiving Holiday. We chose this hotel as it was close and they accommodated pets. We checked it w/a late arrival. The person at the desk barely greeted us, gave us no info about the hotel, etc. He just told us to drive around back to the proper entrance. The hotel smelled a little funky, however, our room was clean. However, it was ice cold in our room. When we got into bed, there was just one very thin blanket on the bed. As we were tired and cold, we did not bother to call for anything as we didn't want to get out of bed! I would never consider this an upscale hotel.

The Clarion had a convenient location for us. The mattress was very comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and clean towels. The decor was dated, but the room was clean and the staff was very friendly.

We chose the Ramada because the other hotels were booked for 8/18 and onwards. The Ramada served our needs. The location was ideal since we had our privacy and we were close enough to the downtown area and close to Ithaca College where my son attends. We enjoyed the service at breakfast, especially a waitress by the name of Debbie. She was very pleasant and it was because of her that we had breakfast there every morning while we were at the Ramada. We are a family of cyclists and the cycling was awesome, especially the challenging hills going up to Ithaca College and to Cornell University. The city of Ithaca is very nice and the people are very nice too. Lots of great eating places. The only complaint I have is that the hotel needs some TLC. I am sure that you are aware of this since we read the apologetic letter about the hotel's appearance. I am sure that by the next time we book at the Ramada that the renovations will be completed. I would also like to comment on your air conditioning units. Too loud!

The desk clerk was a little sleepy but so were we. It was a long walk to the room but it was very welcoming. The shower head was low, but the shower was great.

I was disappointed after confrimed with the hotel so many times before I arrived that I would arrive late at night and requested to stay in a non smoke room. They still put me in the smoking room and lie to me that it is a non smoking room!!!!!!!!. The smoking was so strong. I requested to change the roon right away but there was no room avialable!!!!! They just came to the room and sprey the refreshener. I found out myself in the morning Tthat this was a smoking room and request to move to the other room. Other than that the hotel is good

The hotel was perfect for us - we were originally in a standard room but they upgraded us when we told them it was our honeymoon. Everyone was professional, courteous and it was easy to check in and check out!
